The old lady who helps with the service for this carwash was so rude telling me that i couldn't read because i ended up pulling in and when i was drying my car she told me to get out. Very clean with well posted signs. They allow free RV dump and fill. The space is very large and easy to get in and out. Very good water pressure. It's $3 for a decent amount of time and they have coins or credit card. I did have a problem while there and talked with the owner. She was very polite and quickly offered a very fair remedy. You can't go wrong with this car wash. Appears to be a very well run car wash. read more

Absolute Terrible Experience. One lady whom works here is rude and very disrespectful. Me and my wife were nothing but kind talking with this lady. This is the worst car wash with the rudest employees I have been too. There was absolutely no reason to be that rude. I believe this lady to be the owner and she was an absolute bitch whom had a stick up her ass. This is my all time favorite car wash and I've been to many in several states. My car was filthy from the breakup grime so I went through every function of the wash including the dryer at the end. The selection panel with pictures is so easy and comprehensive. I just went right down it starting at the top with the pre-soak. The attendant was right there to make sure everything was ok as they've owned it for many decades and are very responsive and very nice people. I was surprised tho when it shut off at 15 minutes. But realized that's ok now that I know. Hopefully it won't take me 15 minutes in the future. I live out of town so I don't get in as often as I'd like. But this is where I'll go rather then anywhere else in town or out of town. read more

I have always used the Mt View Car Wash and was very happy. However, there is a new employee who continuously harasses everyone using the car wash. We are paying to use the stalls for cleaning our vehicles and her continuing to harass us about being done is absolutely ludicrous. We are paying to use the facility and to wash and vacuum out vehicles. Hopefully this will change or Mt View Car Wash will end up closing due to no business. read more

This spray washing facility is pretty good. Just over 2-days into a road trip, I started cutting a swath, in Saskatchewan, Canada, through white butterflies and all species of flying insects; this continued through Alberta. And, British Columbia and the Yukon Territory presented dusty, gravel roads that coated my vehicle in lots of dirt! By the end of 7-days to Alaska, it looked to me like you could plant potatoes on my 4Runner's running boards and rear bumper! About $12 worth of spray pre-treatment, wash, and rinse to the vehicle got her back to a good resemblance of "normal." read more

I do not come to mountain view for anything except storage at park lanes and this place. I will go out of my way to come here. Great points: The vacuums behind the bays (not street side) are .75 and are fantastic, all three of them! I'm not sure about the one next to the bay and change machine. They have amazing suction and are clean. You can get a reloadable card which actually gives you more money on it. I loaded it a few months ago with $20 and have used it at least five times an still have around $9 on it, its super nice! The bays are great, some have vacuums (the one i went to was not worth it, no suction), just watch your feet as you can get sprayed from the one next to you. You generally can always see someone that works there which is huge when something eats your money or the vacuum you try doesn't work that great, they will just take you to another and refund your money. This place is very clean! Need I say more, try it out :) read more

Had the worst experience at this car wash. Never in my life do I want to return or recommend people going here in such a negative place. How do you want someone to finish vacuuming and washing there car in less than hour and keep bitching throughout them cleaning their car. 24/7 self-serve car washes are hard to find. Most of them have become so automated anymore. This place serves a great purpose. It was the first place I went to when we arrived in Anchorage after having driven some 2500 miles on the Alcan. We rolled into town in the wee hours of the am...and of course it was still light LMAO as we arrived on July 1. Hubs tried to convince me to wait until later in the day but I couldn't bear looking at the car anymore, and I tend to be most active at times when most women wouldn't be caught dead going out alone. So they got deposited at our new rental and I took off to go clean my vehicle. I had to find a place that stayed open 24/7 with the old school hoses you can spray at your leisure because the entire car and bikerack with bikes on board were freaking caked in mud. It was gross, and I love my car to look nice. So thanks to Yelp, I found this place! Took forever to make my car and bike rack look remotely normal again, but it did get the job done. Wish there were more like this one. This place is apparently in one of the ickier parts of town so I'm told, but nothing up here fazes me for squat since I grew up in Southern California where the constant heat and beating sun can make people exceptionally dickbaggy and more inclined to commit crimes lol. I never feel unsafe anywhere up here. Maybe that's presumptuous lol. One of the best features it has is that you can just stick your debit/credit card into the machine to start the timer and keep going without having to worry about it timing out right in the middle of a heavy suds or rinse. Prices are fairly reasonable as far as car washes go. There is also a drying function you can use, although I never use them at these places. All supplies you might need can be found here if you forget your cleaner etc. There are also vacuums available. read more

The wash utilizes pressure washer hose/wand with warm water or soap/water mix, and depending on setting can be low power or high power. There is a scrubber you can utilize as well as vaccums inside. Inside the stall, you can swipe your credit/debit card and do as thourough of a job as you want, I think 16 minutes yesterday ran me around 12 dollars. read more

This is an enclosed self-car wash and it really is nice. During the winter, it's usually pretty warm inside while you're washing your car off. It's pretty decent but you'll go through more quarters since it's on the pricey side for time limit. It's a good place to go if you want to wash your car on your own and would like to keep warm from the cold. It has a coin changer and also an ATM inside which is nice aswell. read more

Love this place. It's probably not in the best hood in Anchorage, but it's convenient. The maintenance is superb. Never a closed slot, even during the coldest of winter days. I have a fleet of small vehicles, and due to random circumstances I have tried pretty much every car wash in town, including Monster Wash (yuck). Mt View has a number of things going for it: there are several options for soaps to use (pre-soak, engine cleaner, etc). The engine cleaner is the bomb. There are also carpet shampoo machines and vacuums. There are driers, but I never use them. They're open all the time and the bays are big enough where I don't get soaked. The equipment always works. Seriously, it's a dream for someone like me, who spends a lot of time at car washes. read more

Come with a LOT of quarters and don't even think to bring a bucket or sponge!!! $1/min timer starts as soon as you put in quarters BEFORE pressing any button. Really old brush, after I used it didn't take off grime so I pulled out a sponge I had in the car. Got worked over that I'm not allowed to use it and I should have started with the tire cleaner first then soak spray then soap washer then brush - LOL, might as well go to a full service wash if I'm going to spend 10 bucks!! read more

This place is over priced and the equipment is crappy. The foamy brush they provide scratched my car so I decided to use my personal sponge. I guess using your own sponge or equipment is against the rules. They have cameras and an alarm will sound if you use any of your own things. The vacuums are priced great, 50 cent, but the suction is horrible. You would be better off sweeping your car with a broom. If you are looking for a decent car wash I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

Low pressure. Luke warm water. Come with a tons of quarters. Won't get a car clean even if you spent $100. They won't let you use a bucket, so pretty worthless and expensive. read more
