I have had good experiences with this place. I personally have been treated here once. May 2022. I had been congested for 5 days so I went in at about 5pm. There was an hour wait. Waited a little over an hour. Once I got back to the room the assistant asked some questions and then The doctor came about 5 minutes later. He said that it takes about 10 days to really tell if it was a sinus infection. He said they used to prescribe antibiotics without knowing if it was bacterial or viral infection. They were just over prescribing antibiotics for things like this so they wait 10 days. So he sent us to Walmart and I got a generic nasal spray that you take once every 10 hours. The Flonase you can only take 72hrs and if you take more you get rebound congestion. I only had to pay my copay and was on my way soon after. They called me a few days later to check in on me. At that time I thought it was getting better. Now it has been a week since I went in and I'm still very congested to I called them. They gave me an antibiotic prescription without having to go in again. Overall the people working that I saw were great, front desk lady is efficient and helpful, doctor was nice. The place is pretty dated looking, far from fancy or new. They say it depends on the day and they never know how busy it will be. Sometimes they have a line of people when they open sometimes not. You can always call ahead and see what they wait it. By the time I went into the dr. Office it was a two hour wait. I'm just hoping to antibiotics work and if they do I should be better in 2 to 3 days. As I'm writing this it will have been day 12! Finger crossed! read more

The doctor said I have ear infection in both ears and gave me a script for 875 amoxicillin. It made me SICK! Went to a real doctor 2 days later vans NO INFECTION IN MY EARS. JUST HAD FLUID BEHIND INE EAR. I wasn't impressed when I went there 4 years ago. Just needed to get into see someone and NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

I go to AUC to get a prescription for Libre 2 a glucose monitoring system, when the prescription expired l went back and Dr. Brown set up the prescription and charged me for the visit and I was on my way. l picked up the device at Costco and applied then sensor but my phone app did not work. I called the manufacture and they told me the device was a Libre 14 not a Libra 2. l went back to AUC and was given the correct prescription. l pay for this out of my own pocket as the VA does not cover it (my cancer and diabetes are because of Agent Orange Exposure) Well the wrong prescription cost me $88 and l talked to the Dr. about reimbursement for the incorrect prescription and he said his boss said no, at which point time I said he should pay me himself and he said his boss would not allow it. What is ironic about all this is when he just finished writing the wrong prescription for me he told me how he disliked the VA and encouraged me to have all my medical needs provided by them... l am contacting the Alaska Medical Board and trying to get the money from him at court. read more

My companion slipped and fell during a blizzard and the next day (Sunday) we were trying to find a place to see her. We spent a couple of hours trying to find a location that was open and could see her. 4 Uber rides and 1 taxi ride finally got things done. The Physician Assistant was very caring and detailed on her examination, she determined that no bones were broken, maybe a serious muscle strain. We got there early and I suggest you do in you can. The office got very busy as we left the office. We are very happy with the care and concern given by the Alaska Urgent Care office. read more

I waited in the waiting room for an hour, I had to remind them I was waiting to be seen. They took me back to a room and then didn't tell the doctor I was waiting in that room to be seen. I waited in the room for 45 more minutes. He saw that my door was closed and I heard him ask through the door "is there a patient waiting to be seen in here? Did I miss a patient?" Then he opened the door and asked if I was waiting to be seen and apologized profusely. He didn't charge me for my visit because he felt so bad. Probably not a bad place to be seen just a bad experience. read more

Brought my son in after he fell down the stairs and gashed his chin. They were very prompt in checking him out immediately in the waiting room to assess his state and check for a concussion. When we did see the NP she was awesome and very attentive. Everyone was amazing and went the extra mile to reassure my very nervous 6yo son. read more

The first visit They prescribed meds for my problem for a week. After the meds were gone my symptoms returned and I had to go back. They then prescribed a different medication that didn't work so I had to return again after this treatment failed. They then prescribed me the first medication I was treated with, but for a 2 week period this time but the dosage instructions were wrong (they had me taking 2 pills a day before and this said to take one a day. I thought that odd so I called them. Yes she said, that is not the correct dosage, you need to come back in..... I came back, this time they gave me a shot in the butt. This treatment cured me. Why did they not just give me the shot to begin with?? I had blood drawn so I could find out my blood type, they didn't do the test. I suggest to Go here only if you have absolutely no other choice. Unbelievably slow. Brought in an 80-year-old from our tour group who had taken a fall. Not a busy waiting room; took TWO HOURS to get treatment, while a coach of 25 people waited for their friend to get examined and bandaged. Unbelievably slow and unresponsive service. read more

I arrived in Alaska for Furrondy on 2/27 and have to be seen at Alaska Urgent Care on DIamond in Anchorage for a severe recurrent sinus infection. I give the care and treatment received by the entire staff 5 star treatment,,, but as far as it comes to be able to get records of my visit, treatment and lab result...it still hasn't happened as of 3/16. I did sign a release of records form and gave information of my PCP and have called the phone # as posted on the site several times and left a message each time. I even emailed the site and received a message that I will be contacted shortly... Never heard from them. I emailed them again today! I kept in contact with my PCP and as of 3/15, still hasn't receive my records Saw my PCP on 3/16 and is now sending me to a specialist. How the heck is someone to get their medical records? So much for continuity of care! I am a nurse! Doesn't stop here... I will be reporting them to the Medical Board of Alaska. read more

Saw Alaska Urgent Care on 2/1 after Mom fell from 5 foot ledge. They performed x-rays but diagnosed as sprain. Follow up visit with the podiatrist and new round of x-ray revealed a fractured ankle. The doc suggested an over the counter medicine for pain that contraindicated with her prescription, and he wrote a walking boot prescription for the wrong foot and faxed it to a location (Geneva woods) that was closed on the day she needed it. I strongly advocate for seeking care elserwhere. read more

Doctor called to verify a work status order he prepared for an employee due to COVID 19. He was sharp, interrupting, and would not allow me to speak. He indicated it "was not his concern" that we needed to verify contradictory information on the work note that his office provided. I would not recommended this urgent care for anyone. read more

I had bring my husband in because of a hip injury and this is where he was originally seen. However, never again! 3 hours in the waiting room with no more than 3 people being called back to a room during that time, not an exaggeration either. We are now in a room waiting for the last 30 minutes after being told that there are still 2 people in front of us. There is absolutely NOTHING urgent about this place. Came in, (it's a walk in), thought it was sprained knee, diagnosed as infected with cellulitus. Got shot in bum, antibiotic pills and pain pills prescribed. Optional to come back?, no need. Very happy with the service! Bill was about $340 total. MJ and the guy that speaks broken German English? Are fabulous!!!!!! I will always come here for any urgent care. read more

The last time I went here they asked me what I thought was wrong and why. I thought I had a bad sinus infection. They never actually did anything to double check or see what kind of medication I needed, just went "okay. You should try a neti pot." I had to ask to be prescribed something and they agreed but added "you really should get a neti pot." Before telling me how amazing neti pots are. read more
