Wanted to check out this place because I hadn't been before (and maybe they sold pez?) they don't. Anyways you step inside and the shop is tiny with a selection of flavored popcorn (9/10$) rock candy and a few novelty candy like pop rocks and gummies. At the moment they don't have any salt water tarfy. They guy who must be the owner or someone told us a story about how they can't get the syrup or rather the buckets to store it in. So no salt water taffy for the past two years but he said they would bring it back in the future. We ended up getting dill pickle pretzels(I didnt like them, they tasted nothing of pickles) and a pack of popcorn in the $5 bin. It was in the $5 bin because sometimes the little square food saver thing doesn't work and it doesn't seel the package. The popcorn tasted fine tho. They had some flavors I would have liked to try like everything bagel but I don't know if they do samples. The other portion of their place is where they make the products, lots of popcorn popping. You can also find their items at waffles and what not down the road and I've also seen them at Walmart in the Alaska section. read more

Was cruising around on a saturday afternoon and decided to stop by the store. They were making fresh taffy as I walked in. Awesome! The workers were really friendly. Forgot to take more pictures but I'll definitely be back for more. Their taffy is alao advertised as glacier water taffy; not sure if that makes it special but it sounds cool! $6 per bag, taffy or popcorn. We just stopped in to see what this place was all About. We just moved here and are looking for hidden gems. The shop is cozy. Walls are covered in a wide variety of taffy and popcorn. There is also a limited selection of prepackaged name brand candies to choose from. There's also a case of all different kinds of chocolate. Every thing in the store is hand made. There's a huge window behind the register so you can see into the kitchen where everything is packaged and prepared. You must try the cinnamon popcorn. It's called "fire and ice" and it's amazing. Usually kettle corn can be too sweet or rich covered in huge gobs of chocolate. This is not that popcorn. It's very flavorful yet light. It's a be careful before you eat the whole bag kind of popcorn. It's also fairly inexpensive for handmade candies and treats. We paid $2.50 for about 10-12 taffy candies. Unfortunately they are closed until the end of January 2017 after today. You've got to visit this place. It's the cutest quaintest candy shop that everyone should see. read more

I went to the breakfast near by and saw this shop as we were about to leave. It looked interesting so we decided to check it out. It a small little shop with all sorts of goodies. It has various flavors of taffy, popcorn, and other candies. What's really special about them is that they have glacier water taffy (they use the glacier water to make their taffy - much better than salt water taffy in my opinion) Service: I thought that the service here was super friendly and professional. She let us try samples of everything and was gracious enough to tell us a little history behind some of the flavors. Goodies: Taffy - I usually am not a big fan of taffy, but I like these! I especially like the watermelon and fireweed flavors. Popcorn - One of the better candied popcorn I've had. Again, I really like the fireweed flavor. Chocolates/Fudges - I haven't had any of their chocolate products, but they sure look delicious! Overall: I think this is a great little shop that anyone who come and check out. New business to Anchorage. I do not think they have an actual store front. But, I could be wrong about that., you will find them at the market. The Anchorage fair market downtown, down by the water. The Market is Filled with different and wonderful foods. I bought some wonderful Taffy here. 3 kinds actually. All very good as well as some popcorn. I love to support local business, this place is worth it as well. They do not seem to have a website, just an email. Oh and by way the Taffy is made with Glacier water. Which I find that so awesome! The bigger the purchase, the more you get a discount as well. read more

Awesome candy store! I found myself in need of watermelon taffy and couldn't think of where to go but I'm so glad I found this shop via Google. They are right by Kava's on Muldoon and they have lots of taffy and popcorn flavors. $16 for a pound of taffy. The gal that helped me was very friendly and helped me get what I needed. read more

Oh I really love this place! The popcorn is so good! They take real ingredients to make some of the flavors. There's a amber beer popcorn ( I think that's what it's called) that will have you saying " why haven't I known about this before". I originally saw them at the Reni fair. We had purchased some popcorn when we first entered the fair but mid way through noticed their tent and they offered samples. Well once I tried some I was so mad that we just bought some regular popcorn when we could've bought this filet mignon popcorn. Lol! Yes it's that good. The service was great! Love it! read more

Love, love, love Alaskan Sweet Things! I first fell in love with their gourmet popcorn when I tried the White Chocolate Peppermint during the holidays...OMG. Even though their store is across town from my home, I never miss the chance to stop when I'm coming or going to or from the valley (they are just off the highway on the SW corner). I hear they have a new location at JBER now also, and that they are at the Saturday/Sunday market downtown...but I have not been to either of those yet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Their taffy is amazing!! Flavors burst in your mouth. Not like old fashioned taffy that just tastes sweet. I also love the different flavors of the white chocolate covered popcorn...to die for! Can't wait to try their chocolates. I have to believe it will be just as delicious! They are also super nice people. Great place! And they do have a store front. read more
