Visited yogurt lounge on Sunday and I was completely grossed out. Everything was filthy. The young people working didn't appear to be busy so they could have been cleaning things up. All chairs and tables had sticky yogurt on them and the floor was disgusting. If it looks like this in the places you can see I can't even imagine what it looks like behind the scenes where they mix the yogurt. I will not be back here unless improvements are made. The yogurt even tasted like it was missing ingredients and was mostly ice. So disappointing because we love to come here. Things have been going downhill for the past month. A+ for topping options. This place does not disappoint! Great location, good amount of seating. There's a nice lounge vibe inside and when we went there was some soothing Christmas music playing, love love love!! The place is clean and neat inside. Lots of yogurt flavors to choose from. The coconut and the chocolate were my favorites this time. My hubby opted for pistachio and New York cheesecake. Lots of popping boba flavors. Yum!! This is our go-to spot for frozen yogurt now. Haven't been to the chain one in years. I think they would have better/more flavors but this one has some good ones just limited selection. I always get cable car chocolate and usually mango if they have mango sorbet. They always have sugar feee vanilla, chocolate, and the original tart. Tonight they also had strawberry, cookies and cream, cheesecake, peanut butter, and they were out of one. Their toppings have expanded, they must have about 12 different candies, fresh fruits, and all kinds of toppings like whipped cream and sauces. I usually get gummy worms, mini chocolate chips, a marchino cherry, blueberries, nerds, and some type of boba jelly. They do punch cards and we also have been getting $5 off or %20 off in the mail. read more

We were headed home and had to pass through Anchorage to get to airport. Since we had some extra time and were craving a sweet treat, we did a quick Google search for a local FroYo shop. When we arrived it was easy parking and a clean location. The process is similar to any other froyo place. The cashier was really friendly and the whole process only took us a few minutes. This tends to be my go to frozen yogurt place. There are at least 10 to 12 different yogurt flavors to pick from which includes some rotating flavors. There's generally standard chocolate, vanilla, and a fruit flavor but other times there is Horchata flavor, Kaladi coffee flavor, and pumpkin spice. All delicious. Creamy and not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Of course the best part is the large assortment of toppings which include fresh fruit, candy, whipped cream, syrups, sprinkles, Mochi, and boba. There are small cups for free samples. They have a punchcard where you get a discount after 10 punches. If you go on Tuesdays, it is double punch day. If you want to take your family and you're not in the mood for frozen yogurt, there is a steamdot coffee across the street. Plenty of seating inside with a lot of light coming in through the large windows. There is a unisex bathroom in the back. Plenty of parking, although the lot does sometimes fill up. When the weather is warm, they usually have a few tables outside on the sidewalk. Give it a try! read more

Okay, Yogurt Lounge. I come here far more often then I really should. The decor is Cali chic, with teals and turquoise, with an open concept sitting area and yogurt bar (Station? Dispensary?). Great place to sit with the family after a sports game or go after a hot day. Yogurts are pretty good, and there is an ever changing, wide variety of flavors. I am a fan of the Strawberry Lemonade, the Cable Car Chocolate, and the Sugar-Free Vanilla. The toppings are fun, with juice balls, mochi chunks, chips of various cookies and an assortment of sauces. The customizability is nearly limitless with all the options. They charge by weight, no fixed prices here. You get exactly what you want, in the amount you want. They offer samples too, so if you're on the fence regarding a type, go for it! They have a pretty nice punch card as well, so be sure to get one if you plan on being a regular. Prices aren't exactly cheap however, but I think it tastes great. (Look around for deals and discounts, they almost always have something going on). Staff is always friendly and helpful, very personable and willing to answer questions. Definitely a good vibe here in the staff. Definitely better experience since we were here years ago. I liked that they were open late, and you can still dine in if you sign in. They had a variety of frozen yogurts and lots of toppings. I chose New York cheesecake and it was great. I liked that they have lids too, so I brought home moose's tooth root beer flavored frozen yogurt for my son. They do have a freezer with prepackaged frozen yogurt and push pops. We'll be back again, I'll just bring the kids next time so they can pick the toppings that they want. My favorite frozen yogurt place in Anchorage. One thing that makes Yogurt Lounge stand out to me is the flavors made in collaboration with other local businesses, such as SteamDot Coffee and Summit Spice & Tea. Despite some of the complaints about customer service in other reviews, the employees there have always been nice to me. They're polite and get the job done. For teenagers working at a yogurt place that's all I expect, not the kind of service you would get at a 5 star restaurant. The yogurt is the perfect texture and not too sweet like some other yogurt places. If you want to cut back on sugar, the plain tart yogurt and no sugar added vanilla are both delicious. The topping selection is pretty good, although the last two times I visited they were lacking in the fruit department which was a bit disappointing. The indoor seating area is very nice, but it can be very loud when large groups of children visit after sports game (which seems to happen more often than not when I go). Thankfully there are some benches and small tables just outside the shop. This is a great place to stop for a snack after a summer Flattop hike. Definitely worth a visit. read more

It is no fault of the business, but half the time I order on UberEats I get soup instead of yogurt because the driver has other stops before mine. Let me start by saying....VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! They do not offer small cups, only large and extra large, in hopes you fill them and be charged a lot of money, for so-so frozen yogurt. I got two cups, added frozen yogurt and a couple of tablespoons of toppings, and the final price was $9.95 for mine, $10.25 for my family member. If you come in with a family of four, are you willing to pay $40 total for frozen yogurt that is nothing special? read more

I came down here earlier today to grab a quick snack after running errands for most of the day. The Yogurt Lounge is located next to SteamDot Coffee in a small strip mall at the corner of Old Seward and O'Malley Rd. The seating area has changed since the last time I was here with the large corner booth removed and smaller tables and chairs in its place to make it more spaciously laid out. The place was packed with families enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon with their kids. The employees here are always friendly and laid-back. Most people don't realize that free Wi-Fi is available here and that customers are encouraged to hang out and study just like at a coffee shop. They had a good variety of flavors available that changes on a regular basis. I decided to go with my usual favorite Cable Car Chocolate and the promotional SteamDot Coffee flavor. The toppings bar has a good assortment of cereals, fresh fruit, candies, cookie bits, hot fudge or peanut butter syrups, whipped cream, and cheesecake bits. The yogurt was delicious as usual with a thick and not a runny consistency that complemented the toppings very well. Other yogurt flavors include Peanut Butter, Cake Batter, Pistachio, Raspberry, Mango Tango Sorbet, and Original Tart. Though I must say that I'm maybe comparing this to my experience at SoYo (where they are wayyy friendly and super duper nice, almost to a saccharin-sweet degree), but whatever, the yogurt is so freaking delicious, and they have tons of toppings, I don't give a crap if the employees shot Nerf darts at me and physically assaulted me while I was arranging my yogurt. As long as I get it, that's all that matters. What I reeeally like at Yogurt Lounge is the variety of fresh fruit they offer. They had some perfectly ripe mangoes, and I went two days in a row to fill a cup with their NSA vanilla and mangoes. Ah, god, I'm drooling just thinking about it. They always rotate flavors out, so something new or something yucky might come through, but they seem to have the staples (choco, vanilla). They have lots of toppings available, which is great. The shop is pretty big and spacious, and they always have a movie playing, but sometimes it's damn cold in there! I'm pretty much sold, and I'm slowly getting others addicted. This place is was our go-to spot for after soccer yogurt with our oldest child last summer. The only thing stopping this place from being a easy 5-star experience is the ditzy, teenage high school girls they employ that are more interested in texting on their iPhones and updating their face book page rather than taking care of the customer. I literally stood in front of the register for a good couple minutes while the employee finished her conversation with her friend over the top of me. It was very disappointing that there was no evidence of anyone in charge there. My first time trying frozen yogurt. Found this place off of here. Very clean and nicely decorated. The ladies working were very attentive to customers entering. They quickly greet you and ask if you would like to try any samples. I was with my husband and two children. We tried a few. I liked the different toppings especially the little mango tapioca balls. 3 bowls (my youngest is only 1) came to just under $15. I don't know what the standard is but that was fine with us. There was a lady with a few children in the front end corner of the store. She brought leggos and the children were playing. I thought that was pretty cool they allowed that. All in all... LOVED IT. Ok...I admit it...I'm kindof a yogurt snob. My favorite place is Fruit Land in the airport, but I have been to the Yogurt Lounge several times now, and its my go to, close to home, second choice, when I don't want to drive to the airport for yogurt. It's super clean and they have a variety of fresh fruits, and toppings, along with whipped cream, hot fudge and other flavors to put on your yogurt. I'm not really into sweet yogurt, my favorite almost always is just the plain tart flavor, but I do really like their pistachio, and their steam Dot Coffee flavor, as well as the Dulche La leche, and coconut. My favorite right now is the Mango sorbet, it is delicious with nothing else but whipped cream. I've tried a couple others I can't remember off the top of my head too and enjoyed them as well. Overall they have good yogurt, which is pretty much the same price (which is expensive) as everyone else's weigh and go places. About the only complaint I have is that due to the design the place can get very echoey and loud, and they are often times run mostly by young kids, who are frequently messing around, eating, talking on the phone, or just not paying attention to the customers that come in. I've stood around waiting for a sample for over 5 minutes before, before someone said "oh would you like to try something?" I feel like the employees are often not very professional and just sortof passing the time working there. Other then that though I do recommend this place. I think they are one of the best places in town and have a good selection of yogurts to choose from. read more

I've been here three times already. From what I've tried... I think the frozen yogurt is a bit sour and TOO tarty. I definitely like the location and the decor of the place alone, but as for the yogurt, its always watery and melts too quickly. I also noticed how the toppings always seem to be dried out or just.. dirty. Kindof makes me think twice before i add something into my yogurt. I am hoping for improvement because I definitely love the flavors they have here. read more
