Located in a small plaza and can be confusing with the Illinois Nut and Candy sign but when you walk in the sweet smell of chocolate fills the air. There are glass closures of bon bons/ truffles that I've learned are hand painted, chocolate covered everything, gelato and more. They also have taffy apples, some with just the caramel, some with nuts, some with chocolate chips. You can never go wrong! Their chocolate is kosher friendly and I'm obsessed with the cookie bark, I could eat that all day. Highly recommend going on one of their chocolate tours too that's available on sundays. Make sure you book first as I found out they do sell out. You get to learn the history of chocolate and make your own taffy apples and chocolate dipped goodies. So this is for their factory store where they sell all kinds of products at a discount with everything from Carmel apples to chocolate covered you name it all for an incredible value! We totally grabbed a few things and brought them home with us some of which didn't even make it through the flight! Of the things we got it was all about these chocolate Carmel pecan circles those were soo darn good like you can't go wrong! It is disappointing though to read a lot of the recent reviews about apples being purchased that have gone bad. On my last visit here a few years back I will say that there was no longer a savings in purchasing directly from them, and or purchasing a case, as opposed to purchasing the packs of three from the grocery stores. I still gave them the five stars because I absolutely respect and love the company and what they do. Their product is still incredible and unique. When I lived out of state, it was so easy to order an entire case from here and ship it all the way to Honolulu and it did arrive in perfect intact condition.

Candy Squared is a boutique selling upscale candy with fine presentation, and it tastes at least as good as it looks, so in my opinion, the prices are very reasonable for what you're getting. In addition to everything else, Candy Squared is a woman-owned, local, independent business that's well worth supporting.
