I've heard that Dr. Alawode is great, but I've been going to his practice for two years and still haven't met him. For annual check-ups, you see the nurse practitioner, who is efficient and seems fine (wasn't told in advance, or I probably would have rescheduled with another OB-GYN though). Dr Alawode's time is dedicated to his obstetrics practice. On the upside, time in the waiting room is usually less than 15 minutes, and his office staff is fairly efficient, although I often have to call back multiple times for a prescription refill or questions to be answered) Again, I have heard that Dr. Alawode's attentive and very personable, but not sure that the minor issues with the office staff and exclusively seeing the nurse practitioner are enough to justify going. read more

Love this doctor! Great for high risk pregnancies or just a routine pap. . I had 3 children (all high risk) and he will not hesitate to put you on bed rest to protect us. He does all that he can to make you comfortable and informed. No other ob/gyn in this area can compare! Love him! read more

oh man i dont even know where to start with this office. first off, if you are lucky to get called back before your actual appointment time, you lucked out. normally, the wait is about an hour or so before you are even brought back into your room....in which you wait ANOTHER 20-30 min or so. the front office staff ( aside from a select few ) appear to all hate their jobs. they are rude, degrading, and show no kindness towards patients. try not to ask them a question...they will make you feel like you asked them to walk a mile across burning coals. it got to the point where i was just gunna do their jobs for them because they made me feel so horrible for asking them to do something. dr alawode is not that bad of a doctor. hes a very nice man, but does not really take the time to explain anything. hes got a very heavy accent so you may have to ask him to repeat things a few times...sometimes to the point of just giving up and looking things up online yourself to understand what he was talking about. he did a pelvic lap. on me and 2 days later i was rushed to the hospital with bronchitis ( they told me it was probably from germs in the operating room ). he didnt take the time to explain my results to me. he just told me that i have endometrosis and adnomyosis ( sorry for the spelling ). back in april, i got pregnant. i found out accidentally through a blood test. i was really early in ( only about 2 weeks and it was too early for anything to even come up on a pregnancy test ). a day or so after finding out, i started to miscarry. i was taken into the office, only to find out that dr alawode wasnt there, and i would be seeing his associate, dr bosco. first time i meet this man, he walks in wearing a jersey, a pair of jeans and sneakers. he goes on to tell me im either having a miscarriage, or i have a uti. he also tells me that if i get bad enough pains, to rush myself to the er because it could be an ectopic pregnancy and if i dont get there in 15 min i could bleed to death. he was so rude and unprofessional and he made me a nervous wreck. i told him i have severe anxiety issues, and he more or less told me it sucks that i have anxiety but hes a very blunt person. i had my miscarriage, and went for a follow up with alawode, who wasnt even made aware that i had one. he went on to push his religious beliefs on me telling me that it was gods will to make me have one and when god was ready for me to have one i would. he was always telling my husband and i that next time he saw us he wanted us to be pregnant ( im only 26 and my husband is 27 ) and he kept telling us we were waiting too long and making it more dangerous to have a baby if we waited any longer. dont get me wrong, i respect everyones religion and what they wanna believe in is their choice, but please dont push it on me. i just wanted to know what was wrong with me and why i had the mc, not have my doc try to push god on me. his office staff also walks around wearing abstinence tees because dr alawode teaches abstinence classes. the nursing staff in the office seems more concerned and know more about the patients than the doctors themselves. i finally had enough when something came up about my adnomyosis on a ct scan. dt alawode, again, wasnt in the office, and i was told i had to wait 2 weeks to see him, or see dr bosco ( NO WAY ). I asked if i could see a nurse because it was just a quick simple question. i was told if i wanted medical advice, or wanted to ask a question, i had to pay a co pay even if i was just talking to a nurse and not being taken into a room. they are obviously more concerned with money and fitting as many patients into their office as they can, than they are about their patients. its sad. i switched obgyns, and after only one apt. with my new doctor, i am more comfortable with them, than i ever was the year or so i was at alawodes. if u wanna be just another number at a doctors office, this is the doctors office for you. dr alawode is an alright doctor, i gave the office 2 stars....and thats stretching it read more
