I found Patrick through his rave reviews on Yelp, and after a quick call discussing the size of my apartment and its condition, Patrick was able to book me the next day on a busy Saturday. Patrick and Alex spent 7 hours without break deep cleaning every inch of my home, including shelving, cabinets, vents, electric outlets, walls, ceilings, baseboards, and those cleaned-once-in-a-lifetime nooks and crannies. It was the kind of superb detailing work that truly takes 2 professionals the whole day, and I could have never done it on my own in even a week because I would just give up. They brought new cleaning supplies, fresh smelling non-toxic detergent, a powerful vaccum cleaner, and all the equipment needed to reach all those nooks and crannies. I called him while the work was being done. He told me to let him know as soon as the work was completed, and he'd be happy to do a walkthrough for me and squeeze me in so I could get home ASAP. He went to my apartment with his assistant and filmed the walkthrough and sent me the videos. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, but it was still a job that would be too much for me to handle on my own. I knew if I hired Patrick, I could just walk back into my apartment as though nothing had happened. And that is EXACTLY what happened! He spent 1 full day and a morning cleaning the place from top to bottom. Everything was put back precisely according to pictures. I had done a lot of covering of closets, etc., because I was scared my building wouldn't do an adequate job. We had left it that he would check whether or not the inside of closets or cabinets needed to be done once he started the job. After one of the crew had worked on the room where I'd dropped all of my jewelry there in plain sight were several pieces I missed. From the very first contact (Carlos responded in less than a half of an hour. He was very thorough in explaining what was included and exactly what was extra. He and his crew didn't waste a second's time. Each of them immediately began cleaning as soon as Carlos gave them an assignment. Not for a second did any of the 3 take a break from their right on time arrival for our noon appointment. I believe it took them 3.5 hours. May be more. When Carlos says they clean inside and outside kitchen/ bathroom cabinets and drawers, window and door frames, light fixtures, wood molding, steam mop, vacuum, dust he wasn't kidding. Those are things included. They also bring their own eco-friendly cleaning supplies, mops, steamer, broom, and even garbage bags. If I hadn't just spent 8k to flee the disaster called NYC to another state, I would have absolutely tipped each of them far more. Payment is not expected until they are done. I'm bummed they don't live close to me anymore because I would hire them for twice monthly cleaning in my new place. The pricing is very competitive and every last penny was worth far more. Generally, I call for cleaning when the home gets messy and chaotic which, according to a cleaner friend, is way harder to deal with than filthy. So whenever I'm showing a new cleaner around, i always catch a glimpse of the silent judgement and slight annoyance with the chaos. After some juggling around the time, the two women from Hylton showed up and cheerfully told me they would bring the house back to Order. I looked at their eyes and for the first time ever, I saw determination not judgement. Together they scrubbed, rubbed and wiped the home down. They moved, organized and wrangled my home into submission. I signed up for a deep cleaning and I received a Deep Cleaning. A cleaner windowsill where once I thought the windowsill was already clean. There was a crevice between the washer and dryer and they figured out what to use to reach there. I expressed my concern that most cleaners miss corners and behind furniture and they alleviated those concerns by removing every speck of dust from every single crease and crevice. This is a company that takes great pride in the work that they do. However, when they were finished and called me to do the walk through, they proved that differently from any place I've used in the past. I didn't just walk and nod. She was right behind me and actually asked questions about each area then asked if I needed them to improve anything. I said yes in one instance, and they immediately put me out the room and remade the area. I was blown away by the professionalism, kindness and peace they brought to my space. Usually I find issues in the hours or days after the cleaning but not this time because they were so thorough, both with the work and because of the questions they ask at the end. No one responded to my email that was sent the day before my service asking what time I could expect someone. I had to book a two-hour window (8-10am) and I asked if I needed to wait the entire time for someone. Someone replied and said that I would receive a 30 minute notice before the cleaner arrive (so I still would have had to wait two hours either way?) I replied to that email and asked about a specific time frame and received no response. The next day, the day of my service, I did not receive a 30 minute advanced notice, she just showed up at my door at 8:30am. She did not come with any supplies as the website stated. She only dusted the tops of furniture and did not wipe anything down. She didn't put anything back in its place and I had to go through my apartment and put things away where they belonged after she left. Even organizing things would have been helpful. I specifically asked that she lift the rug in my bedroom to mop the floor underneath and she said she would. When I got home, I checked and this wasn't done. She furiously grabbed the mop and did it quickly in a hurry, while speaking on the phone. A few days later, I received a text message to my personal phone saying that I had a balance due but with no instructions on how to pay it until I asked. Not a single email communication with them stated how I pay for the service. I asked how to pay it was and I was sent a Venmo image and that's it. I replied TWICE to the text message requesting the information over email and have yet to receive a response from anyone. I don't know what experience everyone else had, but mine was terrible and I will never use this service again.

I was using the service for about 2 years and it was good until the person that usually came left the service and said it's because they don't pay them well. The most recent person (i) broke my oven door (she literally unscrewed it for no reason and didn't tell me she did and then couldn't get it back on so now I have to call someone to fix it and potentially buy a new door, (ii) went into my medicine cabinet to "organize" (there's nothing important in there thankfully but I never asked her to do it and no one has ever tried to do that), (iii) moved a dirty wet mop from under the sink (where she got it) into my clothing closet, and (iv) didn't actually clean the bathroom mirror, toilet, sweep the bathroom floor or vacuum the rug (yet had time to go into personal cabinets and drawers). After she broke the oven door I reached out to the Maid First and they didn't offer to help with anything. They only responded to me after I said they should still charge me the amount because I didn't want them to not pay her (given I've heard from other people who they have sent that they aren't being paid that well). I would suggest using another service that pays people well and provides more consistency.

i'm writing this review to warn current and/or future customers about this company. proceed with…read morecaution. company has poorly run management/customer service. they ignores customer calls/emails regarding legitimate matters. here's what happened: i had almost all makeup that i've purchased over the years in a shopping bag underneath our beverage cabinet to organize it (thousands of dollars worth). the cleaner mistook my bag of makeup, that clearly was not trash, for trash. she threw it all out. i called maidfirst. the manager or owner was dismissive of my concern. later, the cleaner messaged me and my husband, and did admit to accidentally throwing out the bag. in her message, she said that she shouldn't be held responsible since it looked like trash. (it did not look like trash - it was a bag full of makeup...) in my experience, cleaners are typically very conservative about the trash, and don't throw out items that are not in the trash bin or specifically noted... i called maidfirst to inquire about next steps, and no response. called again days later, and they either immediately declined my calls, or blocked my number. i proceeded to email them, and all emails were ignored. screenshots attached.
