They transformed my tiny galley kitchen-- with no dishwasher, almost no counter space, and cramped cabinets-- into a big, beautiful kitchen with a huge island, dishwasher, range hood, cabinets, and drawers galore, an inviting space to which guests are drawn to gather. I look forward to cooking and baking more than ever because everything is easier-- even cleaning up, because there is a place for everything, even the trash, all hidden from sight. It feels like they added an extra room without taking up any space-- the place looks and feels bigger. Charlie got the ball rolling, coming over to give me what a I considered a very fair estimate, measure the space, and discuss with me at length what I hoped to achieve. He recommended Marc with AMC Granite & Cabinetry to help me nail down the layout and provide the beautiful maple cabinets and granite countertops. The tile work was exceptional. My concept for the backsplash was not exactly conventional, but tile master Mike was willing to help me figure out how to pull it off. Mike is also a master plumber, and Joe a master electrician, so it's one stop shopping: They take care of everything. The work area was neatly sectioned off with plastic, so no dust got into the rest of my living space. Pro Bros broke all the stereotypes of contractors who don't communicate, don't show up, etc. The lines of communication were always open, they showed up when promised, cleaned up after themselves, and got the job done in the agreed-upon time frame. The workmanship was top notch, the cost fair and reasonable. Brothers Mike, Joe and Charlie, and their entire crew, were all professional, personable, and considerate of my time and space. It was a pleasure having them around and I absolutely love the results. I'd give them 11 out of 10 stars if I could. And I can't wait until they redo my bathroom!

The entire process became frustrating, time-consuming, and stressful. Although Paul did make an effort to resolve the issues, by that point the lack of communication and trust had already caused too many problems. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting kitchen renovation turned into a very negative experience. I hope the company improves its customer service and follows through more carefully on what is promised to clients.

My carpenter was busy over several months, almost ten, so I brought his measurements to Exclusive Marble & Granite Design, accompanied by my husband. Asking for marble I was shown a remnant that was a good size. I instructed that the marble be cut with a bullnose edge and specified that I wanted a centered sink. My husband and I repeated the instructions in the showroom and were told there would be no problem. Due to coming down with Covid, my husband, aunt and I delayed finishing up the order. When we felt better, we made an appointment for the technicians to come to measure the countertop themselves. An older man, the congenial owner, arrived with an aide but he forgot his measuring tape. His aide went to the van for it. The owner measured and they left. I was told a few days later by the saleswoman that he had forgotten to measure for the faucet that was only a year old and that I had to do so. I said I preferred that he return and do it properly but she said he would not return. If I had not given a large deposit I would have cancelled the order.I had to take photos of the faucet and send it to them. I also ordered a vanity from the son with the measurements from my carpenter. Well, the marble top came nicely trimmed but with an off-center hole for the sink. Moreover, the measurements for the faucet were predictably wrong so I had to buy a new one, and the vanity was three inches short. My husband refused to accept the delivery of the vanity without a call to the office. The truck driver left while he was calling. Valdo refused to take it back or to deliver it. We had to hire another carpenter to pick it up in the showroom at the extra expense of three hundred dollars. It doesn't fit properly so the carpenter had to insert a border of wood. It took over a month to get the wood from the showroom. The sink is off-center and the vanity has a gap between the wall now on one side because the technicians did not center the vanity properly. I have spoken to the owner, his son, and the saleswoman several times and they were absolutely terrible to deal with. I read so many good reviews before hiring them. This has been the worst and most stressful and expensive experience I have ever had with sales people and owners.

After reading the reviews, I figured this would be a good place to comparison shop. Best decision I could have made!!! From the moment I walked in, I knew this was an amazing business. Everyone was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Another very important point for me was that there was absolutely no sales pressure. That's a HUGE plus! Long story short, I had received a quote for over $46,000.00 for the cabinets I wanted. This quote did not include any extras like pull out tray/drawers, lazy susans, utensil cabinets next to stove, etc. The price I ended up paying for all of the same cabinets from the original quote from the other guy plus additional cabinets, special pieces, drawer pulls, lazy susan/utensil drawer/pull out trays/drawers, etc. was just under $21,000.00!!! This price was for the exact same manufacturer (Fabuwood) and same exact color as quoted by the other guy...That's a $25,000.00 difference! (If my actual cost seems like a lot please note I got an insane amount of cabinets/pantries, etc.) Also, I don't know how I was so fortunate as to work extensively with Furkhan, but he was incredible throughout the entire renovation process! Despite the fact that I knew what I wanted for our renovations, I knew nothing about the actual process/details. Furkhan was pretty much available 24/7 and spent an endless amount of time with me going over every detail, making sure I didn't miss anything I might need, and answering my never ending questions. He took the time to learn exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to ensure the desired results! He also came up with ideas that seemed minor but ultimately made the difference between me really liking my kitchen to absolutely loving it!!! (I still just look at the kitchen when I walk in and smile at the results). Another huge plus was that he worked seamlessly with my contractor and everyone else involved in the project (plumber, appliance place, etc.) to ensure the smooth flow of every aspect of the project. Even when I had a small problem with an outside vendor, he took care of it for me and made sure it was resolved immediately. He kept on top of everything going on and kept me updated accordingly. I cannot possibly thank Art of Kitchen Tile & Bath enough for all their hard work. Everyone who has walked into our house cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is and about the quality of the work! And I can never thank Furkhan enough for his insights and suggestions and handling the project with such professionalism as well as following up on every detail to ensure the incredible results we achieved! Overall, it took me 2 weeks from start to finish - from picking the stone to installation. I had the BEST experience here and I was feeling wary at first because of the previous reviews. However, I decided to go with GKB and am so glad I did. In detail, here's why I highly recommend GKB for your counters: 1) Yoselin was so attentive. I would email and call her with a million questions and she always took the time to carefully answer each one. I had her on the phone for 45 min at times and she was never impatient. I felt secure in my transaction because I had Yoselin on my side and I knew she was 100% dedicated to making sure I was happy. 2) Javek is the most knowledgeable template maker you will ever meet. He came and spent 2 hours making a custom template for wood boards. Other companies bring pieces of cardboard and guesstimate. Not Javek. This guy is responsible and exact. 3) Installation team came and had all the pieces installed in 1.5 hours. They were on time and very respectful. 4) The quotes were spot on. No hidden fees, no surprises. You can pay deposits with personal checks. Final payment needs to be in cash. 5) I had the opportunity to go in store and pick out the exact cut of the stone after my template was done. This is great - such flexibility! I literally had the opportunity to tell them which corner of the slab I wanted them to cut from and specify all the details. This process was also easy and pain free. 6) GKB has the largest selection of QUALITY slabs at the best price. I looked at 3-4 different slab vendors. Either the vendors were over pricing their stock or their slabs were uninspiring. The quartzite I ultimately chose was something I found ONLY at GKB. It was the "yes" moment I was waiting for. 7) I felt valued as a customer. They respected me and my time. At the end, I got the exact counters I wanted and they are beautiful. What more could you want?
