Truth be told, if you live nearby or just happened to be in the area like I was, Bread & C. should be at the top of your list to visit. Not because the owner will gladly give you something on the house because you only carry your card and don't have enough cash on you to pay for your entire order. But because that's how she is. And, it happened to me. You can tell right of the bat, Laurie has a passion for offering pastries and pleasing their customers. Regardless, Bread & C. has probably gained a lot of attention for the Croissants, Macarons, Cookies, etc. I seriously think though it's because of her Parisian-inspired Hot Chocolate. You're in for a treat. If you know me on Yelp, then you know I haven't had coffee in like umpteen years and when I go for Hot Chocolate or Hot Cocoa, it better be orgasmic. This was it. Top-quality chocolate is used because after all, this is Larchmont. The end result was the perfect balance of rich flavors and silky texture. It's a treat that was both comforting and luxurious.
