11/6/2025 @ 1:30p.m. I bought 2 flans for my co-worker's birthday. . . We got severely ill. Co-worker took 2 bites and remarked "this doesn't taste right". I was like hmmm. I ate more than she and as a consequence was sicker. I called the bakery this morning to inform them in the hopes of preventing others from being affected the same way. Terrible! Horrendous service and poor quality food. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had called early on and placed an order for a tres leche cake with whip cream, strawberries & peaches, thin layer of dulce de leche with almonds on the side along with it saying happy birthday mom on the cake. The lady had repeated my order exactly as what I said and told me it would cost around $50 or so because of the additions, no problem. I live in Long Island and told the lady taking my order that I would like to pick it up early because I live 2 hours away which she was accommodating and said okay to 9AM. On February 11, when I went to pick up the cake it did not have the writing on top and the nuts were very scarce. I had asked the young lady to please put more nuts since there was barely any. Once I paid I just received back the receipt and said if I can have a bag. She stated they charge $1.50 for the bag and I said okay I will pay but then told me there is a $7 min since I was paying with a card. So, I just carried the box. Finally, when it came to opening the cake for everyone and cutting a slice I realized this was the completely wrong order. I had given my mom the first slice hoping it would still be good just different but she couldn't finish it. Just like that the whole cake was thrown out. I was so upset and embarrassed that I had brought this cake for my Mother's birthday. It was such a terrible feeling of disappointment. The mousse was so thick and the whipped cream was overwhelmingly thick. The next day (Feb 12) I had called early in the morning and told the bakery my situation that I got the wrong order and could even send them photos. I spoke with a lady named Miriam who really made my experience even more unpleasant. What had happen was that the young lady from the day I picked up the cake did not give me a yellow copy of the order I only got the payment receipt. On that order someone had crossed out the strawberry and peaches and wrote caramel mousse. I told Miriam this is incorrect I never stated that. To make it more unpleasant this lady was inconsiderate and rude towards the end. Because I didn't get that order receipt I couldn't fight my case. Stating that they can give me a $5 store credit. But can't reimburse me. I stated I would like to talk to the boss and she said she would leave a message and the boss would get back to me but because the boss doesn't come everyday just here and there that she can't give me a definite period as to when the boss will contact me. So, I waited the whole day on February 13 and got no call. I called again on February 14 and finally spoke to a lady who was much more pleasant and helpful. I told her I was expecting a call and just wanted to see if the boss was available. The lady said she will see if there was any message left and as to my surprise the lady informs me that no message was left. Miriam had told me she left a message for their boss. I do not appreciate being lied to which made me even more upset. However, the lady was much more understanding of my situation and gave me a number to reach out to so I can send photos of what I received. Which, is what I wanted to do early on but Miriam was not at all helpful. I sent the pictures to the number and Miriam calls me back which I really wasn't too happy about. Stating she spoke with the boss and can only give me $22 store credit for their bakery, when I physically go they can service it. Which I had repeatedly said I live in Long Island. Tolls are not cheap. I have never experienced this before and never wrote such a detailed review like this for a bakery. What upsets me is how inconsiderate and unprofessional this bakery has been. I would stick to much better places& with better customer services such as Martha's country bakery. But I wanted to support this bakery because it's wasn't just me but my whole family that has been coming here for 10+ years. However, most definitely we agreed to never go back to this bakery. Horrendous experience!! Please don't waste your time and money. read more

a very good spanish theme bakery in yonkers that has a abundant amount of cookies , pastries , pies , cakes , etc , with theme cakes as the anchor. came by with a friend to pick up a birthday cake and while she was doing her biz , i notice a decent selection of italian pastries including cannolis and napoleons and i will never say no to a custard filled eclairs . they do a very good job of displaying all the sweets in plain view and i better not look to much as i feel my waist line getting bigger. after finishing both the chocolate shell cannolli and most of the eclair ,i can honestly say that this bakery in yonkers will see me again to get more goodies . 4.5 stars on my yelp meter and my work staff really enjoyed the assorted 2 pounds of mini cookies so much that they didnt leave one crumb left in the box read more

They did amazing with decorating my daughters first birthday cake, flavors were delicious and moist, but failed to listen to the main ingredient where each type of cake was suppose to go. The cakes here were good a couple of months ago and the prices were fair but all of the sudden quality decreased and the prices went up. The other day went to pick up a custom order we made over the phone and we asked for the cake to be for 8-10 people. When we went to pick it up the cake was smaller than what we asked for AND we had to buy another cake(the cake show in the pictures below). This cake mas more filling than actual cake and it seemed like the filling was old because after an hour or so the cake became inedible and we had to throw it out. We are extremely disappointed. The manager Roberto was very nice and tried to fix the issue by charging me 1/2 price, but the girl at the counter was completely useless and had a bad attitude as if I was wrong for expecting my cake to look like the picture. This bakery USED to have good quality years ago when they were a small but ever since their renovations. It seems that quantity has overtaken QUALITY. They do want to charge the big bucks for a cake but it's always a disappointment at pick up because quality is not delivered. Resenlly I order a cheese cake for a birthday of my nice. My surprise was cake was not cheese it only had a thin layer of cheese . They are super sloppy with their work & don't care about the customer one bit. You don't get what you pay for. I had the best experience at this bakery. A couple of my coworkers had recommended it to me so I decided to get a cake for my boyfriends birthday. I had asked for the cake to be ready the day of which was Memorial Day. After I had picked up the cake I was walking into my building and I tripped. I obviously knew instantly I ruined the cake. I was devastated. I called La Piñata, explained what happened and they told me to come right back. I rushed back over and they fixed the cake completely within 15 minutes. I have been going to this bakery for years for their Strawberry cheesecake. The glazed strawberries on top make this cheesecake my absolute favorite. A must try! Ordered a cake for my partner and his mothers birthday. The cakes were okay but not what was expected with the money I paid. The cakes in total came out to about $250 and mind you they only were for 10 people each. I expected much more out of the cakes. They used only butter cream instead of fondant - with the exception of the decorations. The decorations were cracking and the fondant designs fell off of my partners moms cake. While the staff was very helpful because I was originally had alot of questions, I was not satisfied with the final product. An extra star for detail on his crown but that's about it. read more

They took the order and was very helpful with the whole process . With going over email pics of what they recommend to the time of the cake being ready they delivered 100% . I have dealt with bakery's ie cassones , neri , And cerbones and this place is on a top tier that sets the standards of how a bakery should produce products . The cake was exactly like the picture and the flavor was one of the best I have had . The strawberries are fresh the cake was light and fluffy and a party of 40 had everyone wanting more . I wanted to surprise my significant other with her two favorite cakes for her birthday. So I got one cake from the Cheesecake Factory and the second was going to be from La Piñata. I had a very busy schedule and a short window to make the surprise happen. So I called ahead and asked specifically, If am purchasing a cake from you, would you be able to write on a cake I received from another location, I explained where I got it from and that they couldn't write on it (it's prepackaged and frozen). The young lady said sure come in I can do that for you. I arrived and ordered the cake and made the request again. And the young lady serving me seemed confused, so I told her someone confirmed they could do it and and she left to ask a manager. There was no manager available so another young lady decided to decline writing on the cake because of liability reasons. Made no sense but I was short on time and out of options because I had no time to figure out a plan B. She didn't seem to care and wasn't bothered that she was going to lose a sale in the moment and a customer for life simply because she wouldn't honor what their staff said. I drove out of my way to them and they refused. I offered to put it in writing that I wouldn't pursue them, if they could please help out. For something as simple as writing on a prepackaged cake. I offered to pay for the service and they still declined. The lack of flexibility just shows they didn't value my business. I wasn't irate or disrespectful but I felt disrespected that I wasted my time after they confirmed a service. I called the local Shoprite and asked the bakery if they could help and the gentleman without hesitation said yes, you don't even have to buy anything. ShopRite is a larger corporation that this bakery and didn't fear "risk". I am not one to signal a personal bias based on appearance or race because I would hope that wouldn't play a part in them assisting me, but I couldn't make sense of why they would give me such a hard time when I was spending money to just write on a cake. They actually write on these cardboard things that they place on top of the cake. They could have written it on one and handed it to me to apply myself without coming in contact with the cake I brought. I will not return and I will be sure to share my experiences. read more
