I found this place by serendipitous accident because I was a little lost. This place is amazing; there are all sorts of imported Eastern European "goodies". For some you'll need the translator on the iPhone. But, it's the meat case that is fascinating. There's more types of made on the premises sausages and cold cuts. The proprietors are more than happy to explain the various Kielbasa. They make their own pierogies in several different combinations. Try some of theirs, and you'll never go back to those you find frozen in a box at the supermarket. They explained that the sausages are fully cooked and smoked; so you don't need refrigeration even if you have a long trip back home. read more

I live upstate NY and I drive down to Yonkers on every Holiday to get my Kielbasy, perogies, babka, and horseradish. It's the most authentic Polish food in th area if you ask me. Reminds me very much of growing up and the food we ate! read more

The pierogies I bought 2 hours ago are of high quality. The dough is slightly thicker and it's a bit different compared to amazing pierogies i've eaten in Chicago. There's a certain tang in the filling which I loved. (Potato and Cheese) Each packet is $5.50 for a dozen. Buy 2 of them. They recommended warming it with butter and onions, which is shown in the picture. Overall, come here if you want to skip the frozen aisle. Worth a trip. read more

We come to Yonkers Miasarnia from upstate NY by West Point. The Pierogies are great and they become a different dinner for us. We always buy their Kabonosy which is very tasty and when it gets totally dried, it's addictive !!! Their Hot Mustard is great too, as is their Sauerkraut. But my absolute favorite item from Yonkers Miasarnia is their Herring in Cream Sauce. It's the BEST that I have ever had. Better than any commercially made product. WOW !!! read more

This is a fine, but modest, neighborhood establishment. It is not a true destination meat lover's paradise like Muncan Foods or Morscher's, where the meat is piled to the rafters. The smoked bacon is excellent, among the leanest and meatiest I have ever had. Their long kielbasa, still warm from the smoker, is also superb. If you're looking for some kabanosy, you've come to the right place. After coming down from White Plains, I was disappointed to learn they had no ham hocks on my last visit, as I consider those a staple of this sort of place. I am not a big fan of the smoked chicken, but others swear by it. On my last visit, I picked up some dark Lithuanian bread which was in good condition. There are also lots of mustards and other Polish packaged goods to choose from. Sometimes Iit's great to have a place like this nearby, saving a trip to Queens. read more

This place was famous For homemade Polish delicious food. The best hot dogs I've ever had and pierogies in the past. Sorry to say my last run to them the hot dogs were awful and the pierogies had no taste. This is 100% a Yonkers institution. I cant think of an Easter celebration that didn't include some treats from Yonkers Miasarnia. Having a Polish great-grandmother who lived a few short blocks from their location meant always having Paska readily available. Cannot recommend going to this little authentic gem enough. read more

Everything about this place is awesome. Prices, service, selection. The homemade perogis are fantastic, especially the prune perogis which are sweet but not too sweet. I have never seen this type of perogi anywhere else. The Kielbasa is all fantastic. And every time I go there they seem to have some new special item for sale. One time it was smoked chickens and another time they had smoked bacon that was still attached to the short rib and was unreal. And they make their own horseradish and mustard. This is my first Yelp review and it's hardly needed. Everyone else here has raved about it too. My family has been buying holiday (and everyday) food here for as long as I can remember. It wasn't for many years that I learned the name is really Yonkers Miasarnia. To my family it has always been "Billy the butcher's" after its proprietor, Billy. You can't go wrong here.
