    Quaint little restaurant in Quebec City. This was my first time in QC, and was walking distance from our hotel. The ambience was great, and the staff super attentive and welcoming. The food was ok, and it's really the only reason I would knock 1 star off. The dashi & dumplings were average, but nothing I got too excited about. The halibut for 2 was definitely a portion for 2, but I found the halibut a bit dry and rough. However, my wife found it to be perfect, so YMMV. Pricing was reasonable, and the vibe was right. There was adequate spacing between us and other patrons as well so it felt intimate, but not claustrophobic. It's a cute spot for a date night if you're craving seafood.

    Menu is different than online. I suspect because of what fish is available. Everything we ordered was awesome. Shrimp roll, tomahawk pork and shrimp, halibut platter for two. The sever was wonderful!! We had reservations at 5 and the place filled up fast.

    Very good food. I had the swordfish it was amazing. I also had the sangria with peach and that was wonderful as well. The service was great. They needed another person on staff, but the two who were running tables did fine. Ambiance - just okay. I would like it better if it was on a quieter street. Maybe someday they'll move the restaurant. Don't miss out on the food though, you won't regret it.

    Top 5 meal I have ever had. Probably the best seafood restaurant I have eaten at. We had an Indian style salmon, seared tuna, mushroom pasta and a bomb of chocolate for dessert. It was creative and delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough. My kids loved it too. Not cheap but worth every penny

    A hip, cozy place perfect for those with refined palettes! If you want fresh, great quality, and carefully designed plats AND avoid the tourist trap that's Old Quebec, this is the place to go. It has a clean, open kitchen where the smell of fish seeps through the air. Lighting is warm and comfy. Wait staff is very professional and friendly. I ordered the pan seared salmon. The fish was perfectly cooked--it fell apart on my fork but the skin is savory and crispy. The fish sits atop green pea purée which gives you a smooth and light texture and really brings out the sweetness of the salmon. The marinated mussels and pickled Tabasco peppers give you that kick at the end of a bite. My mother got the marlin steak--again cooked perfectly with a rare, melt-in-your-mouth middle. The fennels paired with the Granny Smith apples made the fish extremely aromatic, quite an unexpected but tasty complement. Well thought-out. Well put-together. Creative. Delicious. Hope I can come back here again.

    Extraordinary dishes, clever and adventurous. Each one delicious! The duck was perfect. Swordfish a bit hit a la sriracha, again wonderful. Highly recommended!

Shout-out to Nathan our waiter who spoke in EN for half the table and FR for the other half haha. He was so fun! The first time I came here was with my husband and we had a lovely dinner - the salmon blinis were our fave so I knew when I was here the second time, they were a must! The second time, there were six of us so we ordered quite a bit - we had the salmon blinis with caviar, a few oysters, the cod fritters, the prawn cocktail, the mushroom tortellini, flounder crudo, and whole fried fish - for dessert we did a cheese plate with some delicious local cheese. Everything was delicious - the whole fish is a must - the skin is so crispy and tasty - has a lot of Vietnamese flavours. The cocktails are also fabulous here - I had the Mexican Firing Squad and the Jungle Bird - both delicious and easy to drink! The room itself reminds me of a cool speakeasy bar/resto you'd find in the streets of New York City. It's hidden in an alleyway behind a very unassuming door. It's all part of the magic of the restaurant. If there is one place to go for dinner in QC, go here. We booked a reso in advance and I recommend you do this to secure your spot!

We were a bit disappointed in the Crab Rotolo ($36) as we didn't enjoy the combination of the sauce and crab. The scallops were cooked very well and we loved the sauce for the Tataki. The Vitello Tonnato ($22) and Cod Fritters ($15) were decent but not as good in comparison to our favorites. We throughly enjoyed our dinner here as we had a good time trying all the food and mocktails they offered.

I would not have known that it was carrot, except that she had told us. We ordered two other starters : I ordered the foie gras pate and my boyfriend ordered the fried oysters. The pate was served on a small layer of sunflower butter, which was unnecessary. The pate itself was surprisingly flavorless. Homemade bread and blueberry jam served alongside was quite good. The fried oysters were completely drowned in buffalo sauce, another green sauce and "blue cheese foam". I would not have even known they were oysters. They were served underneath some cucumbers and peppers and lettuce. For our main course, we shared the blood pudding, which, despite the crazy number of ingredients actually was delicious. It was the best thing we ate. It was served with homemade bacon, a roasted artichoke heart, and some mussels croquettes. Seriously a lot going on. For dessert we ordered the spiced orchard dacquoise. For dessert we had the lavender, Chantilly, biscuit thing. It was eh. I wish they had a chocolate dish in the menu.

The Buvette, Tartare, and Escargot were all also very delicious. The Buvette was tender and beefy on top of a bed of cream of corn, roasted corn and tomato caramel for a slight sweetness. The Tartare was a classic rendition, beefy and mustardy, and one of the few times I've had tartare that was filling. After our meal I was snapping a photo of the restaurant and the owner Louis saw me and took a few photos for me. He's an excellent photographer as well!
