First time here as we're staying at a cottage on the Ile d'Orleans right outside Quebec City. Fantastic food. Fantastic ambience and service. They've done a great job with a building that's been there for over 100 years right on the shores of the Saint Lawrence Lake. We ordered the fish and chips as well as the creamy mussels. The latter were absolutely phenomenal. If you're in the area drive over to the island and come here. You won't regret it.

Service is friendly. Nice views! We ordered the Tours De La Plage and the Classic Poutine, and they were both delicious. The Tours De La Plage is perfect for two (although we couldn't finish it with the poutine) and is a wonderful sampler of all their appetizers! So good! We went for a lunch and it was perfect for us.

The food at this place was so good and it had a beautiful river view from the outdoor balcony. They could speak enough English to ensure we got the food we wanted.

***** Resto de la Plage Resto de la Plage on Île d'Orléans is a great place for a casual lunch or dinner. It has superb views and excellent cuisine as well as 100 indoor seats, 150 seats on the terrace and 50 seats in the park. I ordered an aperol spritz, the seasoned fries; snails with cream, pastis and garlic au gratin; the local platter (tome and Crotin Ferme Audet, La Conquete cheddar cheese, cured meats and confit rillette from Bangard, mustard caviar, jellies and marine legumes. Everything was delicious - and yes, unlike the United States, there was a real basket of good bread.

Appetizer of fresh veg and soft cheese

Great location right on the water. Pretty and modern interior. Interesting menu with something for everyone from three kinds of poutine to pizza to fish tacos, also mussels, and fresh oysters. Attentive service. We enjoyed the smoked fish appetizer and the fresh veg appetizer served with fresh soft cheese. The glass of local white wine was crisp and not too sweet. Only off note was that the bread was cold as if it was kept in the fridge and the butter was rock hard lumps. When i mentioned to the server that cold, hard butter was not appealing and could not be spread on the bread, she responded with some nonsense about the butter needing to be cold because of the flavoring added to it ?!?! Such a shame that there was no chance to spread the butter onto the bread.

A local cheese maker recommend this place and it did not disappoint. Located right on the shore with beautiful views of the St. Lawrence River, the ambience is clean crisp coastal cool. That's all well and good, but the food is the star! We shared a cup of clam chowder that was insanely good and then I got the lobster poutine, because, when in Rome. It was amazing. Huge portion of lobster over hot fries, plenty of cheese curds and a delicious gravy. Absolutely delicious!

This restaurant was a spontaneous stop, as we didn't initially plan on visiting l'Île d'Orléans. Spontaneous but SO worth it. My family and I- after working up quite the appetite from exploring the island- stopped here just hoping to grab something to simply overcome our hunger. However, the food well exceeded our expectations, as did the view that accompanied our outdoor seating experience. The calamari was 6/5 stars, coming from my father and I (calamari connoisseurs). The menu had numerous options to satisfy any sort of craving! The service was relatively quick and the staff was welcoming, kind, and informative regarding the area and source of the food. If you're looking for a memorable meal and a magnificent view, this is the place for you!

Turkey leg with mashed potatoes and veggies. Very tender and delicious!!

My hubby and I stopped here as it was on the water and the parking lot was full. We noticed the bad reviews after we were fully invested in getting our lunch there. Honestly the food we had was delicious!! We have no complaints. My hubby had the clam chowder which he proclaimed as excellent as well and shrimp penne which I tried and thought was really good as well. I had the turkey leg with mashed potatoes and veggies. All very tasty! The view of the water was also a bonus. They gave us a menu in English and so it was easy to figure out what we wanted. The only downfalls are they aren't super prompt in filling your glasses and they're pricey for what you get. We had 2 lunch entrees and a soup and only drank water and it was $60 total. All in all not a bad place for lunch.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews. My husband and I stopped here and had a lovely lunch. Granted, the view while sitting on the patio definitely adds to the experience. We both loved the crab cake app, which had think pieces of crab. I can only complain that it was too small. The lobster roll was fine, with celery mixed in and a giant heap of fries. My husband loved his shrimp dish. My only real complaint is that the women's bathroom was gross. One stall out of order and another had a soaking wet floor.

This was the best place that my family ate in the Quebec area!!! We ordered the calamari (which was the best I've ever eaten), a lobster roll(also fantastic), the clam chowder (also the best I've ever had) and the snails which i couldn't bring myself to try. We sat outside on the patio and it was a beautiful day so it was a lovely experience. We also had an amazing server and there was just an overall nice ambiance and service. Would highly recommend if you're on or not on Ile d'Orleans!!

All crepes are freshly cooked on traditional billig iron griddles, available in both savory and sweet flavors. I tried the duck confit with goat cheese, and it was incredible. The duck meat is tender and juicy, paired perfectly with crispy yet soft buckwheat crepe crust. Caramelized onions blend smoothly with rich cheese, bringing out such a savory and satisfying taste. Pair it with local cider or fresh Guinness draft beer, and your taste buds will be totally satisfied. A well-loved spot on Rue Saint-Jean in Old Quebec. Expect a short wait on weekends. After your brunch, you can easily wander around nearby bookstores and vintage shops for a nice stroll. Rating: 5/5

The meal was mostly a hit with the shredded duck savory crepes a big hit. The French Onion soup was also very delicious! I did debate whether to try the dessert versions but ultimately stuck with the savory. The only miss was the La Cannoise, with ricotta, spinach, olives, tomato sauce, egg and pesto which was not a hit. Just a weird combination of flavors that I guess I don't find mesh well, this dish was mostly left behind. Service was really friendly and helpful.

That sauce was the real star--don't shy away from the raw beef! It was a must-try for sure, earning a solid 9/10. Next up were the TEMPURA SHRIMPS (3 pcs): krupuk chips, Québec seaweed emulsion, and wakame salad. While these were a bit more batter than shrimp, I think that's the point! The sauce balanced it out nicely. I'd give these a 7/10. The SALMON SASHIMI was one of the best dishes of the night. The sauce added an amazing flavor that really elevated the fresh raw salmon dish. Easily a 9/10 for this one! For dumplings, we got the BEEF GYOZA: wagyu, ginger, cabbage, green onions, and soy sauce. I prefer my gyozas crispier, but the flavors were spot on. A tasty 7/10. For the main dishes, we had the TERIYAKI SCALLOPS: maple-glazed, crispy rice, fried seaweed, spicy cream sauce, and red caviar. These were incredible--so fresh and perfectly balanced. I loved everything about them, and they deserved a 9/10. The highlight of the night was definitely the GENERAL TAO CHICKEN: fried grain-fed chicken breast, marinated with sesame and topped with Tao sauce, pan-fried veggies, and Québec organic camelina seeds. This dish was perfection and an absolute must-order, a well-deserving 10/10! For dessert, we had the MANGO CARAMEL & CHOCOLATE BAO: fried bao with chocolate-caramel ganache and mango kombucha sorbet. If you've never had a dessert bao, now's your chance! It was a warm, chocolaty pillow of love that paired so well with the mango. A delicious 9/10 to wrap up the meal! Overall: 9/10 for the food, 5/10 for affordability (not very budget-friendly but the quality is there), and 9/10 for ambiance. I loved the chic blue velvet vibes here!
