No explanation of what the purpose of the speaker was so we just synced it with our iphone and played music (which the car behind us did the same so it was dueling music). Maybe that was the purpose??? I think the concept of Colorado Railbike Adventures has so much potential and they could do so much more to make the experience unforgettable but unfortunately, there's was nothing that made me want to come back or spread the word to try this experience. The staff was nice and the manager was great at sharing some history of the RR tracks, coal mining town, and history of Erie.

Our day with the owner/guide Yorke (pronounced "York") Fearon far exceeded our expectations. We…read moreonly had one day in Fort Collins, Colorado (USA) and Majestic Mountains Scenic Rides was just the ticket to maximize our time there. Yorke picked us up at our hotel for an 8-hour tour. He drives a clean, comfortable passenger van stocked with water, snacks, hand-sanitizer, tissues, and a picnic lunch. I don't know much about commercial vehicles, but this is one where you can stand up -- which helped our middle aged bodies navigate in and out. Yorke is an educated historian and has an amazing knowledge of the area, including anecdotes about founding families, homesteaders, and how the landscape has changed/stayed the same since the Ute tribes dominated the area. He has memorized tons of fun facts and is obviously doing what he loves every single day. We told Yorke we really hoped to see a moose. Although wildlife does not give command performances, he knew exactly where to look and persisted until we saw a huge bull moose grazing not far from the road. Beautiful! Halfway through the 8-hour tour, we stopped at a Visitors Center where we enjoyed an outdoor picnic Yorke prepared with ingredients from his own garden. Fresh tomatoes and beets along with a yummy salad, chips, and a selection of ingredients to make our own sandwich on bread or large-leaf lettuce. (Worth Noting: The Visitor's Center had the only flush toilets of the day, so ... if you're not a fan of outhouses or doing your business outdoors, you'll want to regulate your fluid intake accordingly). At $90 per person for an 8-hour experience, you are certainly not guaranteed a private tour; we lucked out! But, we would have paid more for the privilege had we known how great it was to have the time and Yorke's expertise all to ourselves. We got out when we wanted to, explored, and took pictures to our heart's content. Yorke mentioned that some of his customers are elderly folks who just want to get up in the mountains for a half- or full-day and need a driver as well as someone to assist them in and out of the vehicle. He also takes small tour groups, and has even contracted with a few customers to do overnight camping trips where he drives, brings the food, sets up the tents, and basically does all the work for you so you can enjoy the mountains at any age or fitness level. His personality seems well-suited to go-with-the-flow for whoever he may have on his tour. If you want personalized service from a smart, kind, outdoorsy "former hippie" (his words), then Yorke at Majestic Mountains Scenic Rides is your guy.

Yorke went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable: clean and spacious vehicle, snacks and drinks, adjusting the temperature in the car, photo opportunities and bathroom stops. You can feel how passionate he is about the area and enjoys sharing his love with his guests. I would highly recommend his tours and hope to take additional tours in the future.

The white water rafting and our guide Caleb was fantastic and so much fun. The 30 min ride to…read morerafting was squished and hot but I get it we were there on the busiest week of the year. Also the process to buy pictures was absolutely ridiculous. There was no organization in it at all. We had to sit and watch slideshows to find what number pic ours was to buy. Seems like there is a way to make that an easier process for your customers. Would most definitely do again from this company but I do believe they could make some improvements on the photography and the way pictures are sold.

He talked us into doing a tad more vigorous rapid, (he wasn't trying to upsell us, but we were the only two that selected the lesser rapids and he was just letting us know that we would be getting off the river and rejoining. It was easier for everyone if we just stayed on the entire time.) We both enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide, (his name escapes me, sorry! I know he is from Salida), was unbelievable and so accommodating of my daughter the entire time, making sure she was okay. He was SO nice and friendly and really funny. He also pointed out local points of interest that was pretty interesting. This is a great place and is the only place that I would go through for rafting in Fort Collins.

She was pretty clueless in the whole fly fishing guide experience but Adam was very quick to put her at ease with all the arrangements. Adam arrived early with a big smile on his face and off we went. We fished the tail water of the Big Thompson and the best part of it all was that we caught fish! It was a great day and I know Adam went out of his way to make sure I had an awesome time. One thing I have to mention is that Adam even went out of his way and picked me up from our rental cabin so my wife wouldn't be without a car while we were out fishing...Who does that??? Thanks to paddle-board adventure, we were able to rent the board right at the lake and were able to enjoy our day to fullest. The employees were super-helpful and the guy at the tiki was extra vigilant to ensure the safety of his customers. The renting and returning was breeze because the employee were transporting the rental to and from the shore to their tiki. Overall, I would highly recommend going to pearl lake state park and give these guys a try :)

Take the shuttle up there - it was a piece of cake getting picked up from our resort. You do need goggles but they have extras available to borrow. Our guide Dylan was AWESOME! We made a few stops along the trail including in the middle of a gorgeous forest and a lookout of the mountains and continental divide. You do not need any prior snowmobile experience. I haven't driven a jet ski in twenty years and this was not difficult. We brought our kids who could sit on the back easily and had a great time. Super fun family activity and absolutely worth the cost. We had nice weather but bundle up if it's snowing - I can see how this would be super chilly.
