They do things differently there…read more If you happen to be in this very busy part of central Albany, perhaps getting an amazing Gyro from My Gyro Station, or a Falafel/Shawarma Pita sandwich from Mamoun's, you will instantly notice the massive, dominant, haunting, imposing structure across the street, just the way you see it in the rainy picture I posted. The Armory, for me, is the most spectacular sight in Albany. Partly because of the way it looks and dominates the area with its sheer size, but partly because it's in an area full of shops and people and traffic, and really stands out from all the typical downtown hustle and bustle, rather than being tucked away somewhere. It's right on a major intersection. It give Albany a lot of character and is well worth checking out. Definitely a 5-star attraction. And if you fall in love with a French girl here (probably from Montreal), then that's very Amoury.

The Summit comprised two conference halls -- one for doing work and conversing and the other for the panel discussions. There is a second floor that is a much larger conference hall with high ceilings and cool blue lighting. We had lunch on the one full day of the conference. Parking if you are driving is available across the street and can be accessed either from the street or through a skyway that is connected with the Capital Center.

I've done business in Southern PA, Maryland, California, New Jersey, Rhode Island, East Durham, etc. They intentionally gave us reassurances about costs and requirements which tripled and quadrupled while cutting off our access. If this place doesn't want you, they are not subtle about it. Your local Burger King may have a kid's playground. May I suggest having your event there rather than trying to deal with the intentionally l-evasive staff, who will work hard to make it impossible for you to even know your requirements, will change them months after and essentially destroy most of your work. i have worked with or tried to work with as many local venues as possible. The last time I had an experience like this, the Meadowlands guy, who had a thick ruby ring and did not know the event business, said, "Good price, eh? You gotta double it for all our workers. We didn't want to mention it until you looked hook." If these are good, honest people, they've decided to save all of that for someone else, We keep quoting direct documentary evidence and the town keeps just ignoring it - why not? They have all the power, none of the honest.

Parking: They've charged anywhere from $5-10 for parking for women's basketball games, which in my opinion is way too steep, especially given that the lot is quite far away from the entrance. Concession Stand: I'm assuming the variety offered depends on the event, but I've noticed a decline in options over the past few years, which is a bummer. They do usually have nachos, candy, and a few other staples. Seating: Most of the seats here are super uncomfortable bleachers. Be sure you get one of the seats with the backs if you don't want to be totally miserable. Most annoyingly though, this place always seems to be experiencing some sort of technical issue. While hosting the America East Championship Game a few years ago, they didn't even have a working scoreboard for the game... they literally made an announcement in front of thousands of fans asking folks to "download the Great Danes app." What about older fans who don't have a smartphone? They also didn't have working shot clocks... again, this was for the Conference Championship game. They literally had to set up shot clocks in the bleachers. I honestly have never seen anything quite like it for such a high-profile game. Not sure if the blame for this sits with the venue, the conference, or what, but it was all pretty embarrassing and unacceptable. To be fair, they do now have a nice new video scoreboard that hopefully will be more reliable. Also, the SEFCU staff are generally pretty friendly. Overall, SEFCU is definitely not the best basketball venue in the America East, but it's not the worst so... I suppose that counts for something?

(Take Beaver Street) and follow it to the end to enter the garage. (You'll pass other garages that aren't affiliated with the arena and they charge $40+. Avoid them if you wanna save some money. The MVP arena garage is easy. As with every stadium the drinks and snacks are expensive but to be expected. Only con I had was the cleanliness of the actual seat isles. My feet were sticking to the floor. And bathrooms are on a lower level. So stairs are involved.
