The Safari was good but the workers kept driving the animals away. The enclosures were... SMALL to say the least. The poor monkeys, no enrichment, small enclosures, the one had a wound on its tail. It took us probably 25 mins to get through the walking part. The little pigs had no water and when I asked the lady, she said they probably drank it all from this morning, well then give them more. Very disappointed.

Got to scope out who was selling and who was only cooking before it got crowded. I spent some time taking to the competitors on how they prepare for an event like this, and even got to see part of the competition process. Some even broke off ribs and let me try them mid cook. Tell you what - I do it just as good if not better than some of these folks. Saw one team using refined sugar in a sauce for competition ribs. I cringed of course. :-) I'm quite sure I could do well in this competition if I tried it. Overall, this is lots of fun and I recommend everybody try it at least once!

Definitely not reflective of the price, which was more indicative of a larger size. I was disappointed, but the snippy service we had received prior to actually getting the ice cream left a yucky taste anyway. We will not be going back, and will instead continue to drive to an alternative. Maybe Guptil's, which is also nearby. These days, with so many other options, service and being polite to people is key. An older couple arrived shortly after us and he was equally rude to them.
