It was a generous portion. I didn't get a photo because it disappeared quickly. I got the Chicken Barg Sultani, which was tasty and an extremely generous portion. I ended up bringing half of it home. I wouldn't call the Persian Room a romantic restaurant, as it was quite noisy when we were there. It is more of an old school, upscale decor with a casual feel. Most people were in shorts and t shirts. It was the dinner hour, so perhaps it would be more quiet earlier or later. There are a lot of choices on the menu, a full bar and an eclectic wine list. We have tried a lot of restaurants in the four years we've lived in Tucson. Most of the time I think it would have been better if I'd cooked it myself. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal without ever being intrusive. We started with the Mezze Platter, and it was a great choice. The hummus and babaganush were especially delicious, fresh, flavorful, and a perfect way to begin the meal. For our entrees, we ordered the Beyti Sarma and the Chicken Sis. Both dishes were very tasty and well prepared. The only surprise was that the Chicken Sis appeared to be made entirely with dark meat. We don't mind dark meat, but it would be helpful if the menu mentioned that so guests know what to expect. To finish the meal, we shared the baklava and a Turkish coffee. The baklava was delicious, and the Turkish coffee was an excellent way to end the evening. The only other observation is that the prices are a bit on the high side, but that's becoming fairly common with many quality restaurants today. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a very enjoyable dining experience, and we'd happily return.

They use the machine and then cut the pieces in squares. No technique. That said, it's still manageable. However, not this time. The pieces were supposed to be small for stew/curry. The butcher (a kid this time) did such a sloppy job of it! The pieces were cut as if to throw in a grinder. Some were as big as 5-6 ounce by itself. See the pics for yourself. If you go there, ensure you check the pieces after they cut it.
