Came in for an early dinner and was surprised to see their kababs are fresh to order and in a refrigerated case for all to view. Restaurant is small but with plenty of indoor with some outdoor seating, too. Service was very friendly and hospitable. I had to bump this 3-star review up to a 4 on account of their hospitality. The owner was very attentive and friendly. The only thing keeping me from returning was their hummus. It lacked flavor and smoothness. We had to add in our own salt to "doctor" it up. The beef and lemon garlic chicken kababs were very tasty and adequately seasoned. The chicken saffron wasn't as tasty, unfortunately. Rice was fluffy and tasty, too! We didn't see any sumac to add to our dishes. The other thing this restaurant needs is a soda fountain with ice. They don't have ice for drinks and that really brings the dining experience down a bit. They do have homemade desserts and baklava. I ordered the baklava and it was good. This place also has take home and ready to eat meals in refrigerated cases for the quick pick up, which was super convenient and smart.

So delicious! Generous portions and so so so yummy! This is an order at the counter place. They also have several fridges/freezers with prepared meals to take home if you like. I've never tried any of those meals though. I've tried the beef shish, the chicken saffron, and the shrimp. All so good! The meat comes with a large serving of rice, a grilled tomato, and some pickled vegetables. Everything has been so delicious. They have tables for dining in, but the atmosphere is a little lacking--I've always done take out. It does seem like it takes longer than it should, and they also always seem to be playing michale buble (I'm not a fan lol), so maybe that's why the wait seems longer haha. I will also say that it is on the pricier end and they do charge 3% if you use a credit card, so bring cash to save yourself that extra fee. Overall, I can't speak highly enough about the food itself! Top notch. I look forward to my next meal from here!

Used the search tool on Yelp to find this hole in the wall treasure! All I can say is I wish it was closer to my side of town. Very clean and comfortable inside to dine in. Very casual place and very easy to order. You place your order and they will bring to your table. I originally phoned in my order to take out but my drive was too long so I decided to eat in. The serving size is nice size, I could not eat all my rice but it was amazing! So fresh, light and delightful! My yogurt chicken was moist and flavorful. First time trying it! The veggie kebab was great to go with my chicken. The extra veggies were marinated and tangy. I also ordered tabbouleh! It was so fresh!!! It had a nice citrus note, I really enjoyed it! I will be back in the fall after my next Dr appointment!

The tofu is delicious! Such a good lemon herb flavor. Many vegan options. And they are very knowledgeable and so so nice.

I heard about Taste of Passion in an online article that mentioned their frozen to-go meals, so I decided to check it out. I had a little trouble finding the sign, so I called, and it turns out they're located inside Just Kebab. I picked up several different options, and my favorite so far is the shrimp kebab. All of the dishes come with a lot of rice--I do wish they would replace half of it with veggies instead. The restaurant was clean, and all of the workers were really friendly. Overall, it's a great option for easy, convenient meals.

Oh for yum! I've been craving this restaurant's saffron rice and this time decided to bring my family. We got the family chicken combo with tabulah and hummus. Everything was sooo flavorful. I love the spicy pickled veggies, the somehow magically cooked tomatoes, and the meat was perfectly cooked and delicious. The family meal for 4 fed my family of 5 with leftovers (mostly rice). It was very quiet in the restaurant aside from the refrigerator noise. We were the only ones there for a while. Service was great and the man behind the grill was nice and chatted with us. We will definitely be back!

Not enough stars. This place is for meat lovers and vegetarians. The proteins are packed with such amazing spices. The falafel and chicken wraps are about a foot long and amazingly delicious. The Humble fries are so deliciously spicy. The beef filet entree was spectacular with the delicious basmati rice. Need I say more? Yes, the customer service is on point and the chef even came out to ask how everything was. Small space but ginormous in flavors. Can't wait to come back

What are the gluten-free options? The V on the menu is marked but not GF or the word "gluten." I could make assumptions (no Tabouleh) but I'd like to be sure.

I would suggest calling the restaurant and ask someone (the chef) your question!!! The staff is good there, I'm sure someone can answer that question!!!…

Can you bring your own beer and wine?

No! Not when they sell it in the restaurant!!!!!

Having not had Persian food before, we were grateful for our friendly and knowledgeable waiter. He even brought my husband the can for the beer he ordered so he could see what he was drinking, which was a Persian lager. I had a sip and it was really good. He also showed me how to find what art was hanging if I was curious. Definitely went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. We ended up getting the eggplant and hummus dip with levash and the Persian room special player which included saffron rice, chicken, filet mignon, and koobideh, who was like a meatball that was cooked on a skewer. Everything was so good, the chicken was actually my favorite it was so juicy. Took a baklava home and it was so good! It tasted a little lighter than others I've tried, like phyllo dough was a little different but I loved it. Recommend checking out this place at least once!

My husband asked about the bread and we were told that it is not gluten free. It was busy, with several families with young children. Someone came right over and gave us water and bread with onions, herbs and butter. My husband said the bread was good. Our server arrived shortly and told our drink order. When she returned with our wine, we ordered the Dolmas appetizer. It didn't take long for the appetizer to arrive and we both enjoyed. We hadn't eaten for many hours so we were quite hungry and ready to enjoy eating. Our entree's took a bit longer to arrive. My husband got the Lamb Loin and said it was quite good. It was a generous portion. I didn't get a photo because it disappeared quickly. I got the Chicken Barg Sultani, which was tasty and an extremely generous portion. I ended up bringing half of it home. I wouldn't call the Persian Room a romantic restaurant, as it was quite noisy when we were there. It is more of an old school, upscale decor with a casual feel. Most people were in shorts and t shirts. It was the dinner hour, so perhaps it would be more quiet earlier or later. There are a lot of choices on the menu, a full bar and an eclectic wine list. We have tried a lot of restaurants in the four years we've lived in Tucson. Most of the time I think it would have been better if I'd cooked it myself. Sometimes it's just nice to not have to shop for a variety of ingredients. This was one of those times. We wanted something different, and the experience was enjoyable.

I was so excited because every restaurant I've tried through his recommendations has been fantastic. We were invited to enjoy a complimentary buffet they were hosting, which was such an unexpected treat. The first thing we noticed was the beautiful outdoor patio--perfect if you want to enjoy your meal in the fresh air. Inside, the restaurant felt welcoming, and the staff immediately made us feel at home. The owner, Ray, was there greeting guests and genuinely seemed excited to have everyone visiting. Once we got the go-ahead to check out the buffet, our eyes lit up. Everything looked incredible! Since this was our first visit, we weren't sure what to expect, but the presentation alone had us excited to dig in. (Just a note: this buffet was for a special event, so I'm not sure if it's offered during normal business hours.) We started with a fresh Mediterranean salad tossed in a bright lemon dressing that was absolutely delicious--although I may be a little biased because I can never resist a great salad! We also tried the hummus and baba ghanoush with crispy fried pita chips. Both dips were smooth, creamy, and packed with flavor. Next came the beef, lamb, and chicken shawarma. Each one had perfectly crisp edges while staying incredibly juicy and flavorful inside. We paired them with the tahini sauce, which added the perfect fresh finish. My absolute favorite parts of the meal were the pickled vegetables and the falafel. I already love pickled foods, but these were exceptional--not overly vinegary, just perfectly balanced with a fresh, tangy crunch. The real star of the meal, though, was the falafel. Honestly, I'm usually not the biggest falafel fan, but Med Cuisine completely changed my mind. We dipped it in their incredible garlic sauce (I believe it's called toum), and it was the perfect combination. The falafel was crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside, and bursting with flavor. I completely understand why it disappeared so quickly--I only wish I'd gone back for seconds before it was gone! We had such a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back. Next time, we're definitely saving room for dessert. Do yourself a favor and stop by Med Cuisine. Support this wonderful local business, enjoy some incredible Mediterranean food, and if you're lucky, you'll get the chance to meet Ray, whose hospitality makes the experience even more memorable. P.S. Please don't judge my plate in the photos--I served it myself! I'm sure the staff would have plated it much more beautifully than I did.

I got my usual vegetarian mezza so I can try it all. Ambiance: okay, a bit outdated. We were the only customers. I was thrown off getting water in plastic cups- instead of a glass. Service- okay. Minimal contact. Food: the bread threw me off as it was served in a plastic bag. It was odd. The dolmas has no flavor except for the grape leaf. The rice appeared to be only white rice and no spices? The lettuce/small salad was not edible. Not dressed and old lettuce. I got 2 cucumber slices to eat two dips- not enough. And used to getting a more tomato. The falafel was okay. The bread tasted old. I'm used to good Lebanese food and this missed the mark. I'm surprised by the reviews. The hummus and baba ganoush was 3/5. My husband had a spicy Lebanese sandwich, he said it was good. And the fries were soggy and greasy. With so many levant places, I won't be going here again. I guess I prefer the Iraqi, Syrian, and Turkish places in Tucson.

During those two visits we tried: (May 2025) -Pani Puri: Fresh and delicious and I recommend ordering it spicy if you eat spicy. -Samosa Chaat : This was a 5 star dish for me! It was the best samosa I have ever had with the most delicious toppings and condiments. We asked for yogurt on the side, I'd totally get that again. My second favorite dish here! -Dabeli: This was a 5 star dish for me! It was a perfectly balanced work of art with the delicious filling and bun and the pomegranate and peanuts on top. Super fresh and so so delicious. I would absolutely return just for that- my favorite dish here!! (Feb, 2026) -Sev Puri: This was good. the fried potato on the cracker was fresh and I really liked the sauce mix on it with tamarind. It reminded me a little bit of the filling in Trinidadian doubles. We asked for yogurt on the side. -Pav Bhaaji: This was good but my least favorite dish here. I think probably just because of how amazing the others are though. This one also contains clarified butter which I don't typically eat. I liked it with the lime and raw onions added to the curry. -Vada Pav : This was my favorite from today's dishes! I loved the perfectly fried spicy green chili pepper in it. I wish I didn't eat that whole chilli pepper in one bite because I wanted more when it was gone. My husband experienced it the same way. He also noted how fluffy the potato was inside like mashed potato. This was perfect for sharing since there were two. This dish is native to Maharashtra. - Aloo tiki chaat : This was good. the fried potato patty reminded me a tad of a potato latke. Toppings were good and included mint. We asked for yogurt on the side Both times we sat on the patio and enjoyed a relaxed dinner. When we came in May they were very nice to check if we were happy with spice level or wanted more spice and talked to us about the food. They seemed passionate about it and It made for a really fun and interesting experience. When we came in February, we had less engagement with staff. A couple things I would like to note: 1. They add a service fee of 10% on bills without notifying the costumer. The first time I went, since they didn't notify me of that before I paid or gave me a detailed bill, I left a tip over that total amount that already included 10%. I do think it should be communicated to customers in advance. When I realized this and pointed it out to them they did refund it. The second time I remembered there was a fee but I noticed it was still not communicated to me a head of ordering. I don't appreciate that business practice of hidden fees and that is the reason I lowered to 4 stars. The food itself is 5 stars for me. 2. I would not recommend their pop ups for people with severe allergies. I was hoping and still hope they eventually transition the restaurant to Indian or add a regular Indian menu. Especially since there is only one restaurant in the Tucson area that serve south indian food (Spice Garden Indian Cuisine in Marana) . I have yet to try the mediterranean food here aside from a complimentary baklava in May which was not my favorite. Sounds like the two current owners bought the business sometimes around January 2025 and I am curious (and really hope ) to see the Indian dishes become a more regular part of the menu on a daily basis. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Margaritas and sangria were both under $5 during happy hour. The server offered separate checks which was magical. We had excellent service throughout. Our server kept our orders straight, came by with tea and water refills. I was offered a ice tea to go at the end. Most people ordered 1 tapa. Several people had whole entrees. I ordered 3 tapas. (There were too many of us who got a $3 tapa and water. Sorry about that!) I had falafel. It was very tasty but a little overcooked. I would get it again, but not in the tapas size. I also had garlic-lemon chicken. That was fantastic. The chicken was well seasoned, tender, and in bite-size pieces. I also had hummus. They have plain, roasted red pepper, and jalapeño cilantro. I had plain (silky, not too salty) and the green jalapeño-cilantro. The green hummus had been recommended. I loved it. Just the right amount of kick to it and with a fresh taste. I would love to eat here again. The food was wonderful. The guava lemonade looked great. My iced tea was "tropical black tea" and it was just different enough to be noticeable. Would definitely order again. It is kind of industrial inside. It would not be a "romantic date place" but the food is great. It would be well-suited to colleagues going out to lunch.

Indoor and outdoor seating . They do get busy on holidays so reservations are welcomed . Service is always wonderful . This visit I went with the vegan tofu tiki masala, wood fired cauliflower with tahini , garlic potatoes & hibiscus iced tea . I would visit just for the tea concoctions alone . Please please pleaseeeeeeee open more locations ! The only con about this place is they don't take Apple Pay ! Huge fail - it's 2026 . No one wants to carry their actual card or cash . Tap to pay is so much easier . Please update your systems guys .
