Love this lady. Debbie is the best! She made me a pink stone with a gray granite heart in the middle for my mother. Beautiful.

My mother wished to be cremated and so our family turned to Bastian and Perrott because of their…read moregood reviews. But, they let us down. Before a body can be cremated, the cause of death needs to be reported by the doctor and it needs to be registered with the county. My mother died on a Friday afternoon at a board and care facility where she had just entered hospice. I was at the facility along with the hospice nurse during my call to Bastian and Perrott. The hospice nurse and I provided all the information Bastian and Perrott required, including the name of the hospice doctor and his phone number. The hospice nurse assured me the hospice doctor was very responsive and would be available the following Monday (day #3). That Wednesday (day #5), I met with Bob to pick out an urn, get an update and pay. My mother had not been cremated and was told they were still working through the paperwork. I was reassured there was still time for my mother to be cremated--I could pick up her ashes on Saturday for her Sunday (day #9) offsite funeral. Bob said he would call me the next day. I was busy with the funeral arrangements Thursday morning and forgot about Bob until he called that afternoon (day #6). He still did not have the cause of death report, the key factor for cremation to proceed, and was waiting for my mother's regular doctor to respond. I asked why the hospice doctor wasn't involved and why did Bastian and Perrott wait so long to notify me of the delay. Bob explained that they didn't want to bother the family during this stressful time. I told him that I was much more upset now--because it was too late and now impossible to get my mother's ashes to her funeral--than I would have been if he let me know Tuesday or when we met the day before when there was still time. After I got off the phone with Bob, I immediately called the hospice agency. They took care of the cause of death report with the hospice doctor in 1 1/2 hours. They also told me that no one at Bastian and Perrott had ever faxed them the form that the hospice doctor needed to complete. When I called Bastian and Perrott the next day, Friday (day #7), they said they had the doctor's information and now needed to register with LA County. Basically, as soon as the hospice doctor, who they were originally directed to, got involved, the cremation process moved forward very quickly. To further emphasize this, my mother's ashes were ready for pick-up on Tuesday (day #10), three days after the hospice got involved. If Bastian and Perrott had contacted the hospice doctor as they had been directed, or even by day #4/5, my mother's ashes could have been ready for her funeral service. I was extremely disappointed with Bastian and Perrott. They dropped the ball, dithered for over 3 1/2 days, thereby making it impossible for my mother's ashes to be present at her funeral. Instead of responding with sensitivity and real help during an especially sad time, Bastian and Perrott contributed further to our family's distress and pain.

We had contracted another funeral home that had gone out of business and Bob made arrangements last minute for my mother without any hesitation or hassle. I highly recommend.

My parents have purchased their resting place and services here at San Fernando Mission Cemetery more than two decades ago. My beloved mom was diagnosed with cancer and within 6 months she passed. Estela Sanchez, one of the funeral directors that took care of all our family's needs were excellent from beginning to end. She took care of everything for my dad and our family. At the time of passing, the mortuary came to the house and collected my mom's body within two hours of her passing. They gave full care and consideration for other family members that arrived late early morning to say their proper farewell. Following the days before the services, mass and funeral we were contacted several times to inform us and remind us of the schedule. We had the pleasure of working with Deacon Johnson assisting the mass and taking care of the services for my beloved mom. Deacon Johnson from San Fernando Mission Cemetery also coordinated with our parish priest Father Lawerence to have the funeral mass for our beloved mom. We had the proper Catholic funeral mass. San Fernando Mission Cemetery even had the plaque ready for my beloved mom's resting place when they said it would be. Thankful for the care, consideration and kindness San Fernando Mission Cemetery provided my dad and our family during services, funeral and mass for our beloved mom. We know her remains lay safe in her resting spot at San Fernando Mission Cemetery. She is in eternal rest in the loving arms of God in Heaven. We love and miss you so much mom. +++

I am beyond disappointed with the way I was treated at San Fernando Mission mortuary. During one of…read morethe most painful moments of my life, Supervisor Michelle showed absolutely no compassion or professionalism toward me. Because I had previously left a review about their services, I truly felt targeted and treated unfairly. I was denied the opportunity to properly say my final goodbye to my grandmother, something no grieving family member should ever experience. Instead of handling the situation with empathy, Michelle was rude, dismissive, and confrontational. She even made a comment implying that "if she wasn't in uniform, things would be different," which felt completely inappropriate and intimidating coming from someone in a supervisory position. No family should have to deal with hostility, personal retaliation, or disrespect while mourning a loved one. I expected dignity and compassion from a place meant to honor people's final resting place, and sadly that is not what I experienced.
