Also, by neglecting to realize medications I was being prescribed by a psychiatrist, he created an immediate, life-threatening risk to my safety. Amlodiprim, Hydrochlorothiazide, and Metoprolol, constitute an aggressive triple-antihypertensive regime. Prescribing Hydrocodone alongside these three agents is a direct prescribing error. Hydrocodone causes peripheral vasodilation and suppresses the central nervous system. By introducing this opioid, even though asked for, Dr. Sheybani directly blocked the body's natural compensatory reflexes. This error forced a profound, addictive spike in blood pressure. Placing me at immediate risk for severe hypertension, orthostatic syncope, and cardiovascular shock. Furthermore, Dr. Sheybani failed to account for severe addictive central nervous system and respiratory depression. Hydrocodone directly suppresses the brains respiratory center. The doctor's incorrect combination of three blood pressure medications induced cerebral hypoperfusion. This lack of blood flow to the brain severely compounds opioid sedation. This specific oversight and extreme neglect on Dr. Sheybani's part evaluates the risk of acute respiratory depression, profound somnolence, hypoxia, and fatal overdose. This prescription regime presents a clear deviation from standard medical care. The physician failed to cross reference known drug interactions.
