I saw numerous other doctors (Dr Navon stopped working with my insurance so I had no choice) and I went back to Dr Navon as a cash pay client as he is the best!! Worth every dollar!! Before proceeding with surgery, he conducted thorough pre-operative evaluations and discovered a prostate tumor. He then ordered further tests, patiently explained the situation, and gave me clear and honest advice. He also referred me to an appropriate specialist, which made me feel well cared for and confident in my treatment plan. In mid-December this year, I was diagnosed with kidney stones. Despite a very busy schedule, he responsibly arranged my procedure before Christmas and coordinated all necessary pre-operative tests with my primary care physician. So the dr himself here is great , the receptionist is useless , I tried to get a appt to refill my prescription that he prescribed, and with no warning I need a appt for a refill but next appt available is in two and a half months . So now I'm left with no medication and no warning. To top it off the receptionist is just rude , rude tone and could not wait to get off the phone offering no solutions. Doctor Navon is so compassionate and so ahead of our time in medicine. He has a complete understanding of the mind body connection. Go with the greater frequency of positive reviews. There's no way a doctor and his staff can make everybody happy. Many people fail to blame themselves for the way they make others behave. With that being said, I like everything about Dr. Navon and his staff. The receptionists are pleasant and knowledgeable, the nurses are very professional and have the same great bedside manners as Dr. Navon himself. Dr. Navon dropped my husband as a patient after he couldn't make one appointment. His office then called to confirm the second appointment after he said he would no longer see him! We never received a bill from him, then got a threatening letter that we would be sent to collections over a bill that was "seriously" overdue. On top of this, his bedside manner could use some "serious" improvement. Two words: god complex. You can definitely find a better doc who will treat you with some care and respect. Dr. Navon made time for me--a new patient-- at the end of his very long day and packed schedule. He was kind and immediately put my mind at ease even though I was in terrible pain from what I had thought was a UTI gone awry. CT scan showed seriously bad infected lodged kidney stone blocking the plumbing. No wonder I wanted to jump off a bridge all week! Dr. Navon I had a serious problem with my prostate and urinating for many years. I saw many doctors, but the issue was never fixed. From the time I entered his office, I was treated very well by his staff which made me feel very comfortable. Dr Navon met with me and conducted some tests and then he explained in detail (using diagrams) what was wrong and how he could fix the problem. He made me feel so at ease about the whole thing and was very confident he could resolve my issue. He perfomed the surgery and the results are AMAZING!!!!! After so many years of diffulty with painful urination, weak to very little stream and many bladder infections, I have been finally healed by him. I even had a whole different issue that he diagnosed as well and I am being treated for that as by a different specialist. Dr Navon is AWESOME!!! It's too bad you can't give zero stars because I would. This guy is bar none the worst Doctor I've ever been to! Not only was his diagnosis wrong, he was rude and condescending about it. I came to him in severe, chronic pain which at that point I'd been suffering every day for four years, and he dismissively rolled his eyes at me and told me "It's all in your head". I'm actually glad he was such an asshole to me that day, because if he'd been nice, I might've listened to him and then I wouldn't have gotten the help I needed. Lucky for me though, he pissed me off so much that I sought a second opinion. Thank God I did because it turned out I had a couple of pretty big hernias, and needed surgery! So it wasn't so "in my head" after all was it? He comes across as the kind of guy who got his ass kicked every day in high school, and is now taking his nerd revenge out on his patients. I'm hoping he was just having a bad day, but if he's that incompetent and cruel on a regular basis, he deserves to lose his medical license and I don't say that lightly. read more
