So we started out great got a great deal or so I thought on a vehicle . They told me 160000 k warranty and the platinum protection package would be bonuses for all my past troubles with the expensive lemon acura I bought 7 years ago. I was thrilled . I went to pick up my vehicle and waited for 2 hours after I gave them an extra hour . I was late for an appt and once they finally were ready to finish up I signed up paper work and left in the vehicle they never even bothered to clean ughhhhhh !!! Then I looked at my paperwork 699.00 for anti theft 699. Nitrogen 2499 protection package 2300 warranty . So upon first oil change I went to talk to these meatheads . And of course an excuse for all of it . I asked service when the protection package was put on she said it hasn't but yet the shithead that charged me 2499 said yes it was lmao c'mon . I've had my oil changed here a few times and had some major maintenance done. Their prices seem reasonable however their staff are not. They've changed where you pay for service work done several times - from the parts counter to out where the advisors sit in the main oil change entrance back to the service counter and both times they've changed they've acted like I was stupid for going the location where I had had to pay on previous visits. The final time I visited this location was when I had to wait over an hour for an express oil change (after they'd already taken my car in). I noticed my vehicle had been moved outside after half an hour but ten minutes later (40 minutes in) I still had not been called, so I went to the counter to find out what was going on. They told me the paperwork was not done and they'd call me when it was ready (how long does it take to do paperwork on a simple oil change). Another 10 minutes later I went and informed them that I would be leaving because my car was clearly ready and that if they wanted to bill me they could bill me then or not at all. Suddenly the paperwork was available! I contacted a manager later to complain and they simply told me that it takes time to get paperwork together. It should not take 30 minutes after a simple (express) oil change is complete to have the paperwork done. read more

Tried to purchase a 2015 Honda Fit and gave a $500.00 deposit so we could arrange to get a certified cheque to pick up and pay for it. The salesman, Ash, called to confirm when we would be in to pick up the vehicle. I then called the finance department to get the total price of the vehicle so we could go to the bank and get a certified cheque to pay for it. Ash called back and told me we couldn't get the vehicle until Monday because they didn't have snow tires and their remote start installer was on holidays. I indicated my dissatisfaction and he and his Sales Manager, Alex, discussed what they could do to earn my trust. Alex indicated he would see if they could install the remote starter today. Ash called me back and informed me that the 2015 Honda Fit could not be fitted with a remote start as Honda hadn't released the software yet. My husband called another Honda dealership and found this to be untrue. Needless to say, I have asked for my deposit back. I would not recommend you purchase a vehicle from Alberta Honda. read more

I just recently bought a vehicle from AB Honda and it was the worst car buying experience in my life. I was there too long the first day, had to return twice to get my vehicle and the financing was sloppy. I couldn't even register initially as they had failed to give me all my documents. A month later and I was still getting the financing and other issues sorted out. The poster in the dealership says 100% satisfaction but the best the general manager would do was a weak apology over my service with a promise to do better for future customers. Honda Canada wasn't much better as they leave it to the dealership to respond to customer service complaints. Don't believe the lies that say you will get exceptional customer service. never buy a new or used car at alberta honda. bunch of crooks. bought a new honda truck supposed to be new but after taking home checked the meter was driven 2500 km. got back to them, they said that it had zero km on it end of argument. i also got life time oil change after paying $525 (including gst). after a month my navigation stopped to work, took my truck 3 times to alberta honda, they could not find the code because the tech. was not there, second time they could not contact the company and third time there said there was some problem with the navigation system and i had to leave the truck so that the could change the navigation. i was frustrated and took the truck to millwoods honda dealership, they figured out the code in 25 minutes, gave a free car wash and charged nothing as it is covered under warrenty. after few months went for free oil change, which was denied, reason being : dash board meter showed code b12, so i would have to spent $300 in a brand new truck to check the transmission (which is covered under warrenty) and then only they would do free engine oil change. i denied and took my truck to millwoods honda. they showed me that code b12 means change engine oil and rotate the tires which was not mandatory but just a reminder. alberta honda are cheaters and highly unprofessional. never go to them, i tried them thrice. they know how to fool customers and make money unethically. raj read more

Very poor customer service from this Dealership. I live in Fort Mcmurray which is 480 km from Edmonton and we do not have any local honda dealers at my town. Even though I preferred this dealership and bought new Honda CRV. My new Honda CRV battery keep getting dead/drain within 48 hours. I called dealership about the problem and told me to bring vehicle all the way to Edmonton in very poor road condition. This guys convinced customers at the time of purchase but at the time of problematic situation they are not customer friendly. My car doesn't complete a year and battery keep draining even in the temperature of -10. They are truly liars !!! read more

I made an appointment to get my rear passenger side window fixed. It took them two days to replace it. I was stuck without a vehicle for two days because they forgot to order the window. I stupidly went back another time. They called me and told me they wanted to do warranty work for free. After 5 hours in the shop, they called me and said that my car wasn't eligible for this warranty service. I couldn't believe the poor customer service. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Don't bring your car here unless you want it totally broken. The service department is full of incompetent technicians (that cause more issues than they solve, more on this below) and pushy service advisers that will try and lead you into expensive and needless servicing. After my routine "B" maintenance, they told me my tires were cupping, and that an alignment was needed. As these tires are quite new, and have only around 1000km or so on them, I was quite skeptical. Not to mention cupping tires are typically caused by suspension issues.. but I digress. That night I checked the tires myself, I braved the hoards of evil mosquitoes and jacked up my car, crawled underneath with a flashlight and a coin. I checked every single groove of each of the tires they said were cupped, and low and behold, not a single sign of wear. I checked for feathering, inconsistent wear, etc.. nothing. (I used to work in a tire shop). Chalk one up for the crooks at Honda. Go figure that they had an alignment special on at that time eh?? Less than a week later I'm driving around, and I notice something wrong suddenly as I'm driving: inconsistent power, lag when pressing on the accelerator, and unable to go above 4000RPM. At the next light, my car promptly stalled. Started up with no issues, then at the next intersection, my car stalls as I'm making a turn (subsequently the power steering goes too)and narrowly avoid a catastrophic T-Bone collision that would have surely sent both my passenger and I to the hospital, or the morgue. I arrive at my destination, and promptly investigate WTF is wrong with my car. Upon closer investigation, I find that the technician that serviced my vehicle DID NOT CLIP DOWN THE HOUSING FOR THE AIR BOX. There was a 1" gap running all the way around the perimeter of the housing. So, for the days prior, my car had been sucking raw air past the throttle body and into the intake manifold. Just GREAT. THANKS FOR THAT ALBERTA HONDA! Clipped it back down after removing the dead bugs and debris from the side of the air filter that was supposed to be CLEAN, and reset the ECU, but alas the issues still persisted. Car would consistently stall as the RPM of the engine got lower. Huge delays in throttle response, rough idle, inconsistent power. And the constant stress of what else they could have damaged as a result of their stupidity. This was frustrating to say the least. One, as my car was busted due to an incompetent tech, and two, who knows how many years of life have been knocked off my car from drawing raw air, dirt, dust, and insects into the intake. The next morning I headed to part source to grab a can of MAF cleaner, as my last ditch effort before having to bring my car back to Alberta Honda. I cleaned off the sensor, hooked everything back up, and took it for a test drive. Hooray, I don't have to take it back to Alberta Honda to have them charge me hundreds of dollars to troubleshoot! Cleaning the MAF worked like a charm. These issues were a DIRECT result of a negligent Alberta Honda service technician, and nearly cost myself and my passenger our lives from getting T-boned after we stalled. I will NEVER bring my vehicle here. I will do my best to ensure NO ONE brings their vehicle here. I regret having purchased my vehicle here, and my next vehicle will not be from here. Letters have been drafted and will be sent to Honda Canada. I encourage everyone else to do the same. Pathetic service. Oh, PS. Trying to charge me $130 dollars for a cabin air filter change?! How stupid do you think I am? Can be done for $12 in less then 2 minutes with no tools.. Don't even have to pop the hood. You should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

i have gone there and done business with them for over a decade. took my vehicle to get my tires swapped to winter. i noticed that all the people in the service department were no longer working there. then i noticed the sales people were almost all new. they brought in all new people. it seemed suspicious. while waiting for my vehicle, i watched a salesman literally screw over a customer who had just bought a new vehicle. after waiting over 2 hours (a long time to change tires since i had an appointment) the service guy comes over and says that they inspected my vehicle and found that the ball joints needed to be replaced and that it was so bad that it was dangerous to drive. they also said the suspension bushings, the belts and other items needed to be replaced and an alignment was needed. the bill for parts and labour would be almost $2500! what this dumb-xxx did not know was that i had just recently swapped out the drive-train with a new one with all new belts so i was on to him. i declined the service, he goes away and comes back in a few minutes and says that a second mechanic looked at the ball-joints and thought they were in even worse condition than the first mechanic and really pushed for me to get it done on the spot. the bill for just one ball-joint and necessary alignment after would be only $600. i declined again and said to just give me back my vehicle. they gave me the bill for the tire swap and included statements of having advised the other service was necessary but refused by the customer, to absolve them of liability if something happened as an additional scare tactic. unbeknownst to them, i used to work as a mechanic at a dealership long ago. i took my vehicle to another mechanic who is a friend, we went through the entire suspension and found that all the ball-joints were in perfect condition. the bushings were perfect as well with no play (looseness) but were in need of a greasing. none of the work that they were insisting to be done was required! they were attempting to commit criminal fraud. this dealership got rid of the regular staff, brought in all new people and they are using high pressure tactics on their customers and lie to them to perpetrate fraud and theft for sales, parts and service. i feel bad for the customers who rely on them to be honest because they don't have the expertise to know better. i encourage anyone who has gone there and advised that work is needed to go somewhere else for a second opinion first. do not go to alberta honda. you cannot trust them. i had done business there for over a decade. after this, i will never do business with them or go back to them again. it takes a lifetime to build a reputation, but only one stupid act to destroy it. read more

I just hated the experience. I went there to just check out the real deal in showroom after my online search. i just meet a random sales person and let me through routine stuffs. Then came the pricing stuff and he said around 44k for a crv touring model. i was a little skeptical and searched online again on my phone and said that see the retail price is quite less. He got confused and went inside to see the manager. The manager came and said that yes we are having the price over the retail bcos the car is in huge demand and we have only 2-3 left in stock. They really thought i was a fool must have bcos i know where they keep all of their stock. Anyways ii just said thats absurd. Its against the company rules specially when you are caught red handed by a customer. And it didnt sopped there when we were leaving the sales agent said that (with an attitude) its our wish if we want to sell car or not and to whom. My god those lines said by this sales person named TONY will ever be in my head. And whatever happens i will never recommend Alberta Honda to anyone ever. I had gone to get my CR-V some new tires at costco and apparently I was missing a wheel lock for my tires. And when the staff tried to look for it they couldn't find it and told me I had to go to Honda to get a replacement. Which was ridiculous considering that my car should have come with it. When I went to Honda I had to buy a new one which I was not happy about considering my car should have come with one, which I confirmed with the service staff. And when I had asked them for my money back because my car should have had this piece, they told me that perhaps I had lost the piece because my car was 4 years old. The only problem with that is that my car has only been serviced by Alberta Honda and I have never touched my tires, neither has anyone else since it was the first time I was getting my tires changed. And the service person I was talking to said that they couldn't because they didn't really know what happened to the piece. But I assured them no one has ever touched it. I would know since I am the ONLY ONE who drives my vehicle. When I asked to speak to her manager he told me that the staff from costco were basically the staff that serve you hot dogs. That they probably lost the piece. The only problem with that is that there was NO PIECE to begin with. So how could they possibly remove my tires with a piece that was never in my car. I told him I wanted my money back because again I should not have to pay for a piece that should have been with my car. He furthermore told me that I should bring it in and they can look for it. And if he found it I would just say "oh" and then drive off the lot without apologizing for my attitude and behavior. And also that I would be giving him a part that he could no longer sell which I highly doubt. So I asked him to tell me where to look since there are only 3 places it could be in my car. I looked. And I found nothing. He also said that maybe the piece fell out or something. Well the only problem with that statement is that It can't fall out of a zippered bag which is where is it supposed to be. In conclusion, I spoke to the general manager, who was very understanding and helpful and he also gave me my money back the next day. I WOULD NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. drove up in an old chevy, salesman saw that,I asked receptionist to test drive the new cars that had arrived. she pointed to a saleswoman, but the goon who saw me drive up waved her away and said hes got this one. yup, he did. we go for a test drive and I keep asking is this the new car? during the test drive he showed me where the key goes and left his arm to completely cover dash. It was a standard and when it was in third gear he wanted me to turn back! two more gears to go buddy, so I did some 360s at high speed and put in 5th gear. I am an ex race driver and ambulance driver, the goon was holding the panic bar but still would not give me the answer. they were holding a checkered flag sale yet the bottom price [for he had sales bill rolled up] and saw no sale price. I go with old but good car to park at friends house nearby. he drove the "new car" off the lot. my friends plate was on my "new" car which wasn't even registered to me. drove illegally home to find it was a used car that smelled like a barn. owner and his nephew refuse to fix this. no reply, no sorry, so I give to them for xmas my bloody HUBCAPS. read more
