It took the better part of a day to deliver everything from storage to my suite. At the end of the day I was pressured to sign documents indicating everything had been delivered. I was told that if anything was missing the company would put a trace on it and I shouldn't worry about signing the documents. After everything was unpacked, I noticed a small set of teak nesting tables was missing. When I brought it to Stallion's attention they said they would look around the warehouse and get back to me. I completed their claims/damage report as required. I received a response stating that since I signed documents stating everything had been delivered there was nothing left to do from their end. NEVER SIGN DOCUMENTS AT TIME OF DELIVERY REGARDLESS OF PRESSURE TO DO SO. STALLION MOVING & STORAGE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

Never the slightest problem. By reading reviews today, I see things are still as professional as back then. I am not aware of any other movers with those kinds of reviews. If you get the short end of the stick with any company, hopefully you picked one that had a customer service department or was a member of the BBB. That way there's a good chance that your issue will get resolved. Here's why I give Western Moving 5-stars: When you request a quote they'll come on-site to see exactly what needs to be packed, moved, etc and provide a written quote with a max-price guarantee. That way there are no surprises when it comes time to pay your bill. Don't ever book a move without having the mover come on-site to see your stuff. Western has clean trucks and respectable "uniformed" staff. Their movers are friendly, groomed, and trustworthy. Remember that movers enter your home and handle boxes full of your belongings... trust is everything. 1) They're a family owned and operated business 2) They're one of the best-managed companies in Canada 3) They have an A+ BBB rating 4) They are COR certified (COR is a hard to get safety certification) 5) They're a member of United Van Lines You'll also earn AirMiles with Western, which is a bonus :)

Goods were to…read morebe held for two weeks (in their storage facility about 15 minutes from my new home) until move-in day. A team of 4 showed up on moving day about 15 minutes earlier than our booked time slot - we were WOWED. The team was great and took exceptional care in moving my belongings. They disassembled beds, office furniture etc..... and assured me they would re-assemble at new home. A week out from move-in day, I asked the sales rep if I could have same crew move me in to new home - but they could not accommodate. Moving day arrives.... I had 7 people (family and friends) arrive at 8:00am to help with the move......I was told (via email almost one week prior) that crew would arrive between 8:30 and 9:30am. That time frame came and went. I called Western Moving at 9:40am looking for answers and their voicemail states they are closed..... so I left 3 messages on different department voicemails about the "no-show" in our time slot. At 10:30am I receive a phone call from someone who works for the company - not my sales person - stating that the drivers have been delayed. Delayed how??? I'm the first move of the day!!! This person stated that I should have received a call earlier from my sales rep to let me know they would be delayed. Any phone call would have been great...... the day before - or even the morning of delivery... LONG before my drop-off time. Instead I have 7 people (2 of which took the day off of work) waiting when they could have stayed home with their families. The crew of 3 showed up shortly after 11:00am. No apologies made. Unload time was 4 hours. The crew was surprised about having to put together the beds, office furniture etc....... All those details were part of the contract we signed. Whatever they took apart at one end was to be put back together at the other end. They put together everything we asked - but were not aware that was the case prior to arriving. There is ZERO communication within the company. I was the one who reached out to them to find out about timing of delivery drop off. I reached out to them for answers on their no-show. ZERO communication from the driver(s). They were apologetic after the fact ..... that doesn't do anything for those 7 people who stood around waiting for a truck that was 2 1/2 hours late. Western was not the lowest quote I received - nor was it the highest - but on the recommendation of others who have used them in the past, I went with them. My advice........Insist you have contact information (cell #'s) in the days prior to your move in. You should have sales reps, dispatch and delivery driver contact information in the event something goes sideways..... There should also be an after-hours # on their voicemail for instances such as this.

Yesterday, my elderly grandmother experienced the most stressful, chaotic and abusive move in her…read moreentire life. It's important to set the stage here and share some pertinent information: - She was moving from an independent living facility to an assisted living facility. Now, yes, that kind of transition can be difficult for older folks, but the relevance comes in with 3.2 km the amount of stuff that required moving. For month's prior, the great purge occurred, where anything that would not be needed in the new facility was sorted and donated. This left two dressers, a loveseat, a chair, a clock, one end table, small kitchen table with chairs, and a wall unit and 20-25 totes. Everything was packed, all that the movers were contracted to do was wrap and move furniture. - The move was booked with Jason C, on July 12th, with a quote of 3-5 hours (at $159.00 per hour) plus a truck, travel, equipment and basic coverage charge of $159.00. Also a fuel surcharge of 5%. This meant, if it took the full 5 hours it would be $795.00 + 159.00 = $954.00. A $100 deposit was paid in order to book, which would be deducted from the final bill. This quote also specifically says that the rate includes 2 professional movers. (Remember this, it's important!) - The plan, which had been communicated at the time of booking was that there would be two unloading sites, 1 being 3.2 km (7 minutes' drive) from the pick-up site, and 2 being the final destination and 4.9 km (13 minutes) from site 1. The truck, driven by Tom (who was not in uniform) arrived at 9:33 AM (booked to arrive between 9 and 10 AM). Immediately, the swamper/other mover (Jesse) gets right to work, moving the smaller stuff to the truck. He certainly was driven, which was incredibly helpful, because all Tom did was sit on his cell phone and argue with the person on the other end, after he wrapped a dresser and the clock. Frustrated in watching Jesse working his butt off solo, (and knowing that Tom's screw-around time on the phone was just doubling the cost of the move) my dad steps in to move to small items (a grocery cart and a walker) to the truck. Tom tells my mom to tell my dad to stop. Was it for liability purposes? Oh no, he said my dad that him helping was SLOWING HIM DOWN. Slowing him down from what? His uber-important phone conversations?? Finally, the first load is finished in TWO HOURS. Two hours to load 20ish easily stackable totes and 10 pieces of furniture. But of course, it takes that long when only one of the movers is doing their job. They then went to site 1 to unload some of the furniture, which took 25 minutes longer than it should have. It took them 40 minutes to travel 3.2 kilometres on what is typically a 7 minute drive. Upon arrival, Jesse gets out of the vehicle and begins moving the end tables and tried to move the wall unit on his own. Tom has yet to exit the vehicle, instead choosing to perform his very important phone calls, and have a social hour with a neighbour. This frustrated my aunt who was at site 1 to receive the large furniture, because the other mover Jesse, couldn't do it alone, so she told Tom that he needed to start helping Jesse to get it done. That she wasn't paying him to sit on the phone. His response? He was ONLY a driver and couldn't assist. Of course, she gets angry - she paid for TWO movers. She gets in touch with Randy, who is eager to get off the phone with my aunt, to speak to his driver. He wouldn't let her express her concerns whatsoever. Now don't get me wrong, I've worked many, many years in customer service, and I understand the annoyance of Karen's. But my aunt was not one of those, and if Randy had taken the time to at least HEAR the issues, things would have likely been resolved quickly. It's concerning that only the employees word goes. I'm sure he told them he was taking a quick 10-minute break and didn't disclose that he had been on the phone all morning, not doing his job. And I'm sure he didn't tell his boss he informed the customer he was only a driver. She asks to be escalated to Andy who also doesn't provide any customer service or resolution, but it does get Tom out of the vehicle to assist with moving the wall unit to the top of the stairs. Finally, what needed to be unloaded here is done, and the driver and the mover set off to site 2. This should have taken MAYBE 20 minutes, so why did it take them 45 minutes?? Keep in mind, that now, since we are past the 3-hour mark, time is charged in 15-minute increments, so that extra 25 minutes sure counted. They finally arrive at site 2, and shockingly, Tom carries in two things (one in each hand). When he sees my grandmother and mother in the suite the first thing Tom does is approach my mother and grandmother and with a cocky sneer says, "This move is going to take SOOOOOO long now". Dearest gentle reader, I'm sure you can put two and two together and can clearly understand that out of spite, Tom was now informing them that it was going to take eve

When I contacted them to arrange the pick up I explained that the stove was fragile and due to COVID almost impossible to get replacement parts. I told them I did not mind paying extra $$ for the job to be done slowly and carefully. On moving day they moved it so fast and rough that it caused $2500 dollars in damages (see photos) that I am still waiting for the parts to come in 9 months later with no response from the manufacturer. Also the driver was extremely rude to my father and his neighbour when they arrived. Their claims department said they were not responsible for the damage as they did not look inside the container before the move and therefore could not confirm that is was not broken when they started?! 1.Tell me this to me BEFORE you move that this would void your insurance THIS IS WHY I HIRED YOU! 2. Why would I hire a company to move something that is broken?! I can confirm with another witness that this stove was not broken when I opened up the crate when if first arrived, before Matco touched it. After all of this they still proceeded to charged me $500 for their "services" Needless to say...I will be taking them to small claims court. Great slogan Matco... "A Mover You Can Trust"

Because it was paid for by someone else I can't comment on the price. I should also note that this was my first time dealing directly with movers instead of moving myself. So, we have now unpacked everything and can say that nothing was damaged from the move. They have a really slick system to make sure nothing gets lost either: they have a list of all your items and have stickers on everything so that you can check off each item on the list as it's brought into your new home. They also place runners throughout your home so they don't dirty or damage your floors. They even re-assemble everything they had to take apart for ease of moving/loading after they've moved everything into your new home (such as beds or bookcases). Despite the less-than-ideal conditions the men had to work in (on one end, my unprofessional condo board had neglected to clear the loading area all winter so the guys had to park the truck on the street which is quite a bit further from my unit than the loading area and the walkways and sidewalks are usually icy this time of year, despite me trying to spread ice melt beforehand, and on the arrival end, it was very cold with an icy wind that day) they were always friendly and good-natured. I mean, they move people everyday so for them to stop and say on the departure end "good luck with your move" and then on the arrival end to comment that we have a very nice home felt really special. I was so impressed by the men's professionalism and friendliness and overall just want to say that our move was easy and painless for us because of them.
