Reilly did a great job of staying in touch and answering my bazillion questions before the move. Markus and his team were hard-working, professional, skillful, and FAST. Their teamwork and communication were a pleasure to watch. They asked lots of questions, rather than guessing or assuming. They arranged all my furniture and boxes, exactly where and how I I wanted. Also: it's 2020 but this is Alberta, so I feel it's worth mentioning that we are a same-sex couple, and they were not the least bit weird about it. That felt good . Something else I really appreciated was that they maintained a positive attitude, even when things didn't go quite as planned. A couple stories to illustrate: #1: I had put out signs in front of the new place, asking the neighbors to please leave room on the street for the truck to park - but I underestimated the length of the truck. I was in awe at their finesse as they maneuvered that big truck in such close quarters to get it as near the curb as possible. Example #2: My big, comfy sofa looked like it might not fit in the elevator at the new place - rather than try to force it, they carried it up the stairs. Without complaint. And then did some combination of n-dimensional wizardry, wrestling, and ballet, to get it in the door of my suite without scratching anything. I very highly recommend Eager Beaver Movers! I requested information from this company from the Better Business Bureau's website regarding moving my daughter from an apartment in Edmonton to Red Deer. The owner John responded promptly with a quote after I had given him my information. I was a little leery about hiring a mover because of horror stories that I had heard about items being lost or damaged and I just wasn't sure about the industry as a whole. John patiently answered my questions about his company and I decided to hire him, partly because he seemed so professional, partly because his business is family owned and partly because his quote was $500-600 cheaper than 2 corporate competitors. On moving day Adrian and Ben showed up exactly on time. They were 2 neat and pleasant young men. They set to working hard and efficiently. I was very impressed by their professionalism. They did not goof around and they pretty much wrapped every piece of my daughter's expensive furniture and you could see how much care they were taking. They arrived in Red Deer promptly and unloaded just as carefully and professionally. The move went so smoothly. In the end they final price was even $150 less than what I had been quoted. I had a look at the invoice and they had not padded the number of hours worked or inflated the time to drive to Red Deer and back. My only difficulty in the process was that after I confirmed the details, the office had written my last name and email down incorrectly so I didn't receive a quote. When I called back to inquire, and found the problem, they again wrote it down wrong so I did not receive an email quote (but this time I got a link to an online quote via text showing the wrong info). After a third call I assumed it was corrected but on moving day the movers' invoice still had the wrong name and email address. I was a bit concerned at the time about how this would reflect on the quality of the move. However, Christian and Ryan were courteous, fast, and thorough. They kept all of our things safe and worked very hard/fast throughout our move. They were really adaptable in changes to the plan, from adding a few more items than originally expected to their truck to making a second stop to collect another piece of furniture. After experiencing a professional move for the first time, I don't think I could ever go back to moving myself. Would 100% recommend Eager Beaver Moving and especially Christian and Ryan. My regular moving company was booked until end of July but recommended Eager Beaver. I had 2 moves as I needed to move my Mother within a week to a lodge from her current apartment then a follow-up move for the rest of her stuff to storage. Both teams showed up wearing masks and called 15 minutes before they arrived. Ryan and Ricky did the fist move and they were very considerate, respectful, careful, quick and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything was carefully rapped and when arrived at the new place, set up as requested. My Mom was very pleased with her new apartment. The second team was also good but John on the team really stood out. His knowledge of how to properly wrap and handle antiques was excellent, and his organizational skills for packing the truck to preserve delicate items was appreciated. John was very careful, respectful, professional and considerate. The storage unit to store the remainder furniture didn't have much room left, yet John was able to carefully put all of the remaining furniture in it without any issue. If you need a moving company, your search has ended. SERIOUSLY, IT HAS! The "self- proclaimed A-Team" (Jeremiah, Ben, and Brandon) are the guys you definitely want. Book early and book fast!!!! I'm sure that customers specifically request for them ALL THE TIME!!! They are extremely quick. They had everything out of my 2200 square foot home in about two hours. No "cutting corners" with the "A-Team." Anything that is "delicate" or "expensive" (for example, furniture,) they wrap it up in blankets and tape (without even being asked.) Move from Edmonton to Calgary and couldn't have been easier. My movers, Cody and Jared, were fantastic. The move was from one downtown condo to another, and due to construction in Edmonton, the loading bay at my building was blocked. However, Cody and Jared were able to park out front and use another door instead, and made it a non-issue. They were quick, and even my building's moving coordinator was impressed at how fast and professional they were. On the Calgary side, they were just as good, and got me moved in ahead of schedule (even with stampede traffic and 30 degree + heat). After they left, I realized I left a keycard with them accidentally, and texted them saying it was a spare and to just mail it back later. This is the second time I have used Eager Beaver and it was an even better experience (can I give 6 stars?). Jeremiah and his A team were simply a delight to work with. They arrived on time and were SO quick - although always slow and careful when passing through doorways or setting items down. They had to move an ancient, extremely heavy hospital bed and it was amazing to watch them calculate and control to get that thing carefully through a tight hallway. Impressive. But, we are getting older and are not as limber or ambitious as we once were. To be honest, we should have used movers for all our moves. We had a three man crew to load a 20 foot c-can, which we are shipping at a later date. Our crew of Richard, Trey and Kostyantyn were cheerful and very hard working. It took about six hours to load the c-can; we really didn't think they would get all the furniture in it, let alone so many boxes. The c-can was packed tight and efficiently and along the way they asked for items that they could load, which we had set aside for later. We have room to spare! Such care was taken with our prized possessions; a Dutch trunk over 300 years old which we decided on the spot after watching them pack things that we trusted them to wrap it. Exceptional company. Every step of the way they made this move seamless: from the initial emails of planning and organinizing the move, to the actual move itself, and also accomodating an extra stop to empty our storage unit. Dan, Christian and Nolan were pleasant, polite, efficient and very hard workers. The price was reasonable and as quoted. The only issue that we had, was they showed up with out the 1/2 hour warning phone call so our elevator person was not quite ready- and they apologized for that when they arrived. They were on time, quick, efficient and careful with all my items. They also happily agreed to add another stop on the day of the service to move a fridge and were helpful when the garage didn't open.
