Met Albert (the owner) at the door front of his business in Los Angeles downtown. Was there with my daughter to pick up a box of chocolates that she had ordered. He came and delivered the order plus some cookies as gifts. Things got really interesting when he started giving instructions on how to enjoy his cookies the most. I offered him some more business and he offered us a tour inside his live/ work/ create - all in one space. I was impressed with three things- the way the place was set up was perfect for all three purposes. Secondly, the quality, the taste and the varieties of chocolates that Albert created were amazing. Third and the most important, his willingness to fight the odds of life and do something very creative and interesting to him where he can devote his 100%. I listened to his story of last 5-6 years and got mesmerized what a human can do with hard work, dedication and positive attitude. His chocolates, other confectionery are high in taste, finesse, packaging and presentation. His awards and videos all speak about it. My purchase earned accolades from someone that loves great chocolates. Wish you great success and a great life, Albert. I stopped in and picked up a big box of assorted chocolates to share with my office staff on Valentine's Day and they were all so impressed with the taste and perfection of every piece. Each piece feels like it was customized just for you. One person told me it's better than See's candies. Another said it was the best chocolate they ever had. That they are beautifully created. I feel the same way. The store for pickup is so easy to find and street parking was easy to find, even on a weekend. Albert is so creative with the different blends of chocolate. I've made multiple purchases from Albert's Petite Sweets but I'm really impressed with my most recent Christmas purchases. The craft that goes into each one is impressive, as is the flavor. The cocoa bombs were a huge hit with kids. I'm not a fruit candy person but his Pâte de Fruit sampler is a favorite. In the past he provided personalized items with my employer's logo - he nailed it.
