We purchased a few chocolates to try and we were not impressed. The items did not seem fresh. They seemed like they were made long ago. The chocolates seem a little old, as if they were sitting out for a while, you know how milk chocolate usually gets that white coating when it's super old. The chocolates were way too expensive personally I think it's a little tourist trap being on the boardwalk in downtown Long beach. The woman behind the counter didn't seem enthusiastic about being there which sort of added to the negative experience. I give them two stars just because it was not a good experience and overpriced for what we got. read more

Great service! They have a great variety of chocolates, truffles and candies. We got a bunch of different ones to try in our group and my personal favorites were the raspberry milk chocolate and the almond bear! Great texture and great flavor!!! read more

We were having dinner nearby and walked around Shoreline Village to kill some time before our reservation. While walking along the boardwalk, we stopped by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Parking for all of the shops and restaurants is in a pay lot with optional valet. I used the valet since the lot was full. On a Sunday afternoon, they were fairly busy. They have a great selection of fudge, chocolates, candies, and specialty apples. We couldn't resist getting something so we decided to get an apple to take home. Unfortunately, they were out of a lot of flavors including the smores which is my favorite. We decided to get the last Caramel Apple Snickers apple which is a caramel covered granny smith apple dipped in tiger butter and rolled in bits of Snickers bar. It's nice that they offer to slice it up for you which we opted for. We enjoyed it later that evening, and it was very good. The apple itself was big and very crisp. The toppings were great and it was definitely peanut butter forward with the tiger butter dip and Snickers bits. Unfortunately, it was definitely on the expensive side as the cost was a bit over $15 including tax for the one apple. read more

This Rocky Mountain location is situated at the Shoreline Village of Long Beach. On a late Monday afternoon, it was pretty empty and the staff were friendly and attentive to us. They have a large selection of apples and chocolates. I ordered a sliced dark chocolate caramel apple. It tasted just as good as hoped but I was honestly disappointed for it to turn out to be $13.95. I'm not sure if I will be back anytime soon due to the pricing but Rocky Mountain is definitely worth a try if you're ever in the area and find yourself craving a caramel apple! read more

I love getting caramel apples from Rocky Mountain whenever I come across one. Normally they are near tourist attractions/area. This Long Beach one has been around for many years at the Shoreline Village. This location is pricier than others. The cheesecake caramel apple I purchased was $12.95 That's insane. The Factory was very organized when I walked in and smelled great from Apples to Chocolates of course. But I just can't afford another cavity so didn't end up buying anything. Great place to browse around though. Super cute and organized Factory though, so I'm not sure they were rated so low on Yelp as 2.5 stars. We always stop in here for a caramel apple and it's nice they slice it for us so it's easier to share and eat. We also bought some other treats to try and they were all delicious. I've always been a fan of RMCF, the apples are amazing. I went during the winter of 2023and found out they didn't have my favorite apple, the Avalanche I was so disappointed. It was the best! I was told my an employee that they were bringing it back during the summer that I should try back around summer. So I did. Went the beginning of June, walked in and they were packed, people everywhere. I made my way to the counter to check.out the specialty apples and there it was, the Avalanche is back! Without hesitation, I got in line just to get 1 apple. My wife wanted to try the Strawberry Cheesecake. Well mine I knew was good, OMG if you've never tried it, ya gotta! They also have Avalanche Bark which is also good just alot sweeter. The Cheesecake apple was good but I'm just partial to the Avalanche lol. I do recommend if you ever want to make sure something in is stock call! Hello it is 7:46pm on Sunday 5/25/25 and I walked into your Long Beach store as always however this time I was met by Spencer. Spencer was very aggressive and rude. I asked for a snickers apple and he said "we're out" I asked how long it would take for one to be made he immediately got upset and created a scene in front of the entire store. I asked for a supervisor and he said one isn't here. He told me in front of all the customers "don't expect to get service with a stank face" lots of customers walked out and two customers walked up to me to ensure I was ok. Elizabeth was working with him and you could clearly tell she was embarrassed. I felt racially profiled because I am black. I felt singled out, disrespected and embarrassed. The customers that checked on me and saw the whole thing gave me their number and names so that they could be a witness. They too have experienced the same treatment from the same person. I asked him for his name and let him know I was going to write a complaint. He told me that he is refusing my service and I need to leave. He then called security on me and after he saw how concerned other people were and how I was serious about the complaint he had security ask me if I still want the apple and that they would make it, then he abandoned his post to come out and tried to apologize to me and was STILL aggressive so I refused to speak to him. read more

Was craving a delicious caramel apple and decided to brave the Sunday crowds to get myself one. Upon getting home and digging into my chocolate covered treat I got a very strong chemical taste--dare I say windex (?). It was enough to make me unable to take another bite. I don't know if it was the apple or the fact that it was sliced but I threw away the second apple I had purchased as a gift as well. So disappointed. Based on what I experienced, I am certainly hesitant, if not fearful to return. $30 down the drain A quick edit: I gave the location a call and they were very nonchalant, borderline indifferent to the concern. The staff was kind and helpful but my bf and I bought truffles and a rice krispy treat coated in white chocolate and a marshmallow stick. The truffles tasted bad, like candies left in your Gma's purse, the chocolate had oxidized a lot and tasted bad. The rice krispy treat tasted old and stale and instead of a crunch it fell apart due to being out so long. Made us wonder how long there items are left out there for sale. The marshmallow stick was the only thing that tasted decent. Would not recommend, wish I had read the other reviews. read more

Decent selection/ clean shop but the other Yelpers are correct in that service was extra, rude in here! One lady working, kind of hiding, lurking behind counter. I did not see her at first and she did not greet me. I asked her about some rum truffle balls, got a weird response so I just grabbed 2 chocolate bars as gifts and scrammed. There has been a shortage of a particular Rocky Mountain item and this was the closest location that had it in stock. This location gets two stars - even though they are the only location that had our item in stock due to - a lack of attention and seeing an insect in the display case. I saw a small fly that was alive in a chocolate display case as I browsed. I bought $60 worth of items and the employee verified a discount of mine but failed to include the 10% discount. When I verified that the discount had not been applied the young lady said "it would have been a 2-3 dollar discount." Ten percent off of $60 would have been $6. She didn't even offer to give me the difference in a item for her mistake. Pay extra attention during the checkout process and for insects. read more

Worst Rocky Mountain Chocolate I ever had, no customer services at all. There will no customer during weekday, the lady in the store just busy with her stuff and by the time we ordered, it seems that we were bothering her. There is no customization like adding choco/ nuts on top of the caramel apple like it does in other outlet. During the pandemic, there is no box or bag for the sliced apple we bought. It did offer in other outlet, too. We had to carry it exposing to everyone around when we walked back to our car. I will never come back to this store again. And strongly recommended you to go to other stores for a better and happier experience for an $10 bucks apple. read more
