Best store ever people are so nice and caring and go out of their way to help customers the entire staff is always cheerful

Shop at this Albertson's because it is clean, neat and well stocked. It's the nicest grocery store in the area. Many prices are higher than the local Staters and WalMart, but it's normally a nicer shopping experience. Tonight was a bit different. I checked out at the express aisle because I only had a few items. The clerk, Jordyn, was clearly young, immature and unprofessional. She yelled from the checkstand over to a woman at the front of the store, seemingly management, asking if she could leave at 7:30, rather than focusing on the customer in front of her. The response wasn't totally audible, but the response from the clerk was ridiculous. With several people in line, she stamped her foot, flipped her head down so her ponytail flipped over her head, then stated "I hate my job." Seriously?!? Is this the caliber of people Albertson's is hiring?? Even the elderly woman behind me muttered, "Why can't you just pay attention to your job?" So disappointing. If she hates her job so much and finds the need to put herself on display with her outspoken temper tantrum, then perhaps she should seek employment in a workplace more suited to this type of immature behavior. read more

I recently started shopping here about 6 months ago after my neighbor kept raving to me how fresh and helpful the Produce staff was. The first things I noticed when I first started shopping was how fresh and beautiful the Produce Department was! The Produce Manager Nelson and his crew are always kind and helpful. They have the best Organic selection in town! I used to shop staters and all I have to say is staters needs to watch and learn how Albertsons Produce knocks it out of the park! read more

The nicest grocery store in Banning/Beaumont Area. Always fresh veggies and nice selection. I had them do a princess hello kitty cake, using some items I gave them, a tiered caked of cirlce on a square, and they did a fantastic job, everyone loved the flavors, i had two different cakes/filling for each layer. they have a big selection, and do a great job, without the annoying fondant used by other bake shops. gals were very nice and accomadating, and had cake ready on time, cost is very reasonable. read more

My mother went in yesterday to purchase groceries for my grandmother who is currently sick. She decided to pick up a slice of lemon cake to share with her and my stepdad when she got home. The cashier bagged her groceries, and my mom noticed he put the cake on its' side, causing the frosting to get smashed against the container and essentially messing up the cake entirely. When my mom, who is a general manager at a conpany and knows customer service, made a comment, almost jokingly, about how her cake looked sad all smashed against the container. The cashier then looked at her and said, "Next time you can bag your own groceries". What the? How in the world do you get away with saying that to a customer? My mom considered asking for the manager, but noticed the line was long and the woman behind her in line looked tired like she had just gotten off of work too, so she didn't bother with it because she is a considerate human being. If you're hoping to get $15/hr for your minimum wage job, you can thank this guy as to why people will never support passing that law. You've lost a few more customers, Albertsons. But, after reading the reviews, I'm sure this store doesn't care either way. read more

I agree with the other Yelpers who gave this grocer in Banning one star and commented about the rude service. I put some change on the little tray so that I could pick out the correct change, but the cashier grabbed the coins before I could. When I asked if I could select the coins myself, she refused to let me do that. Are you serious? There have been other times when the cashiers have been very rude, especially Jessica B. The young male cashiers are always friendly and fast, but unfortunately the women there are almost always rude. The only reason I ever went there is because the selection of items is good, but I will never be back. The management needs to remind the cashiers there that Albertsons charges premium prices and should give courteous service. From now on I will go to Stater Bros. and Walmart. read more

Up until now I had nothing bad to say about this grocery store. I am parked outside the store debating on whether I should get a cashier in trouble or not. I was paying for my groceries and was told not to place my sodas in on the conveyer belt, because "everyone has to carry them." I suppose he meant that everyone had to lift them, thus it would make their job easier. Their job is to lift and bag anything I place, does not matter if it is heavy or not. If I can lift it, so can you. As a paying customer, I expect better customer service, and not a condescending attitude from a frustrated, overweight cashier. The audacity to tell a customer how to shop, when we are paying your salary. This fat male cashier is the first rude cashier I have seen in this Albertsons. I hope the management corrects this. I do not wish to get this young man fired, but I do think he needs to be trained in customer service. read more

Customer service might be a problem. Asked cashier Silvia to stop calling me hon, dear, sweetie, to no avail. Asked manager (assistant manager?) if perhaps his employees needed training in addressing the elderly but he said he didn't care (!). Probably will use Stater Bros on the other side of I-10, in Beaumont, from now on, which is a pity because I would have liked to support Albertsons. read more

So I'm like so addicted in coming in this store!! Everyone here is so nice and so friendly!! I went to the bakery, I needed a cake for my lil brother who turned 21 today! The manager of the dept Ingrid was so nice! I told her that my brother was a DJ and was turning 21! Gave her his DJ name!! And OMG!! The cake was awesome!! My brother loved it!! I have a love/hate relationship with this store. I love their products but their customer service leaves much to be desired. Upon entering it seems I always have to hold my breath to get through the employees 2nd hand smoke since they all smoke right outside the entrance. It stinks!! The store is clean and the actual shopping is fine. Then when checking out I have to wait for the checkers to get through their own conversations and flirtation with each other. The last checker I had was yelling across to another checker 3 stands down about personal stuff. Then she proceeded to flirt with the guy in line behind me who happened to be an off duty employee. While doing all this the lady in front of me and myself both had to wait for her to ring us up and give us our receipts. She could not multi task and made me feel like it was such a bother that I was even there. Probably won't go there anymore unless there is no other alternative. read more

Reasonably short check out lines. This is a fine store. Just for example, I went in there this last Christmas Eve (2013 ) around noon. I saw something I have never seen a grocery store before. The store was packed and crowded (normal for a holiday). EVERY check-out lane was open! Even the customer service counter was helping out. The lines were a little long, but they were moving!! So Albertsons was all I had on the central coast. Most of the major supermarkets where at least 15 minutes away. My expectations for Albertsons was high, because the one I regularly shopped in was a really good one. The albertsons in Banning was a bit disappointing. I suppose that having so much competition has affected the quality of the service and the appearance of the store. This Albertsons is very small, almost feels compact. The deli department feels like an after thought, it is SO TINY. I did not find a large bakery that the Orcutt Albertsons has. I enjoyed purchasing donuts and cakes from the one in Orcutt. The liquor section is not very good. It just seems too small and not sectioned off correctly. The prices are not competitive with the walmart and the food for less, which are both in very close proximity. I think that maybe a good facelift would help the store out tremendously. Either a new design with attractive organization or just find a bigger location, maybe one in Beaumont? I hope they read this, I really would love to shop here. read more

Albertsons Bakery: Ok, so I needed a delicious and beautiful wedding cake this month that didn't break the bank. We decided to try Albertsons where Brianna, their head baker, gave my fiancé and me some delicious samples to try. Yum! Now, could we decide on the flavor to serve? He and I have different likes in that department but Brianna was ready, willing and able to come up with a creative design that would satisfy both of us. I can tell you when I saw our wedding cake at our reception I was amazed with what Brianna had done for us! That cake was beautiful and inviting. She incorporated the unusual shape we wanted along with the two flavors we loved most. What bride and groom wouldn't be happy about that? Everyone thought our cake had come from one of those high-end bakeries in Redlands but we were proud to tell them we got it from Albertsons in Banning. Way to go, Brianna! So delicious and beautiful! I have shopped here regularly since I retired in the area about 5 years ago. There are many things that make my trips here pleasant: 0 The checkers are mature enough to be friendly and helpful to the shoppers, unlike near by competition. They actually inquire if I found everything I need, and if I'd like assistance unloading my groceries into my car. 0 I like the array of products carried at this store, including common OTC drugs and beauty supplies. 0 One time when I was recovering from major surgery, I was finally up to getting some groceries, however an OTC item was out of stock and I didn't have the stamina yet to go elsewhere. A clerk overheard my dilemma and volunteered to go to the Rite Aid next door and purchase this item for me. I accepted. Wow! 0 Just this weekend, I had concluded my shopping and tried to start up my vehicle, only to discover the battery had died. Julio, the store director came over and checked on me, brought me water and with his assistant, offered tried to jump start it. They even offered to help me replace it! While I waited for AAA to arrive, Julio also offered to take in my groceries to keep them from getting overly warm. I am very pleased to live so close to this store and to experience such kind service. read more
