Great grocery store! People are so nice here and helpful. Last week I realized Mateo had been promoted up. He is always so helpful and friendly. I learned this evening he had been promoted up 2x. He was always such a hard worker I always hoped he would get well deserved promotions. It is always wonderful to good people do well in good companies. Just a couple of days ago, the cashier noticed that one of my eggs was cracked and she walked back to get me a new carton. I quite honestly pretty surprised that I'm reviewing a stator brothers right now when I grew up with one and shopped at it for 14 years in Santa Ana. But I'm not. Whoever reads and replies to these needs to see this, First off, one of the managers Ryan I believe, Is cool as hell, and you can tell the employee Morale is very high. Sadee & Liz (Elizabeth) I believe are hands down probably my favorite cashiers ever. Both of those 2 are always so sweet and down to Earth and always like to ask you questions about your day even through the grocery line at the registers, give them both raises! And just like any typical guy I go to the same butcher every single time and for some dumb a** reason I can't remember his name, (I'll update this review when I find out) but he makes sure I get the exact cut I want every single time and always hooks me up with the exact seasoning I want on my meats, You guys need to negotiate his contract and make sure he gets a 6 pack home with him everyday off of work because he works hard, and he's awesome. I never thought I would have such unique relationships with employees at a store I have been shopping at since I was little, but I do, And I was genuinely compelled to write this. Originally entered Staters to by a Birthday cake and spotted Tamales for purchase in the service deli. I decided to buy a green pepper with cheese as well as a chicken in chili verde tamale because I'm always on the hunt for great tamales around Xmas. Wow was I impressed. Not only were they moist and flavorful but at a good price. Good tamales are hard to find so I will Definitely be buying a few dozen for the upcoming holidays. This review is for Staters main office. I see Staters is laying off people, this is what I read from Orange County tribune "Stater Bros. Chief Executive Pete Van Helden, in a video released by the Times, said it's not a secret that in the last four years, "significant inflation" has affected the industry. A group of 63 clerks learned of their layoffs" The CEO also blamed Trumps Tariffs, well the tariffs just started a week ago, let's be honest, Staters is no longer the low price leader like they used to be years ago under Jack Brown, Staters used to be no frills, just low prices, now they're just like Vons, Albertsons, and Ralph's. I no longer seek out Staters to shop at like I used to, now I can actually get cheaper food items from their competitors. The reason for slow sale in my opinion, is the new regime ruining Staters low prices. Let's not blame slow sales on anything except the upper management's incompetence. Super long lines with slow cashiers. At 4 pm on weekday, every single lane had a line of people. And they weren't moving. It took us almost 15 minutes just to buy 20 grocery items in the cart bec cashier had to fix something. read more

I purchased a watermelon, and it was awful. I took the watermelon with recent to the store. The clerk weighed the watermelon and reduced my refund by 70 cents for the piece that had been removed but no refund for the bag that I paid 10 cents for. Looks like Albertsons is my new go to. read more

Watch the meat you get from the butcher they keep their finger on the scale. Sent my wife in to get some London broil for beef Jerky and they refused to pull a chunk from the back saying it could be cut from what they had in the display case. So she said ok, she said he weighed it then cut it. When he gave it to her she said that's not 5lb he told her yes it is, she didn't want to argue so she just brought it home. When I saw it and picked it up I told her it felt off, so out came the scale I put a plate on it and zeroed it then put the meat on the plate weighing at 4.3, I told her let's just make sure so I got another plate and zeroed the scale again it came out at 4,3lb so I called the store the Manager to me to come over and he would make it right. So I did and he was right there as I walked in. Took me right to the butcher counter and he'd them give me one pound of meat that I was shorted. Boddy wanted to argue that there was no way it was shortened. I told him this isn't the first time I was shortened from here and I would not be buying my meat from them again. He then told me I needed to come in the morning in order to get what I wanted. At 6.99 a pound don't be whipping people off. Made me wonder who else they are screwing. A friend that works there let me know they are continually getting complaints about the evening crew. So make sure you have them weigh it and put there hand away. read more

Staff are always kind here no matter what you look like. I pay attention to how they treated people to the left and right of me as well or in front of me. I was pleasantly surprised with how staff were from the front when you walk in to the butcher. It was clean and check out was pretty fast for a Saturday when everyone was out shopping. I actually live in Banning near the stater brothers on Highland Springs and 6th Street. I will not approach that store after having an experience of employees that are not knowledgeable, bathrooms are disgusting and when you want to talk to the manager, all he does is make excuses for the employees that are not knowledgeable. The one in Beaumont on Beaumont and Oak Valley Parkway is so much nicer. The manager is nice. The employees are knowledgeable, go out of their way to provide good service and the bathrooms are clean. The produce department is immaculate. read more

Nice store layout. Love that they have vegan food grouped together in two separate area (refrigerator case and frozen area.) I do wish that there was better signage highlighting these sections but I know that's my own personal preference. Checkout lines can be long at times, but friendly staff help the process move quickly. read more

The fujisan sushi employee that works the day time with glasses is super rude. I always ask him if he has and sushi rolls or veggie rolls and he will refuse to make them and is super rude about it. WHERE NOT TO PARK AT THE 1430 Beaumont Ave store: My shopping cart security wheel locked up about 20 feet before I got to my car. The cart wouldn't budge. I was parked in a Stater Brother's parking stall. I was in the last row on the south end of the parking lot. The back end of my vehicle faced the back wall of Walgreens. I showed the manager where I parked. That entire row is off limits then. The cart locked up behind another car. If I had a full shopping cart that I couldn't move when blocking another car, I could have inconvenienced another shopper. What if I was shopping on a busy holiday and the only space available was off limits to the shopping cart? What if this happened to an elderly woman with a full cart? What if customers just start leaving carts exactly where they locked up and the next customer has to deal with it? The sign that warns customers not to go beyond a certain point or your cart will lock up is mounted very high and I didn't see it. I was looking straight ahead watching out for traffic in the parking lot. If I had seen the sign, I'd see it only after I was pushing my cart to my car. Too late. Suggestions: No Stater Brother's parking spot should be off limits to Stater's shopping carts. Maybe the locking parameters could be adjusted to include that south row. EVERY stall that is off limits to the security locks should have a sign IN THAT STALL that warns the customer not to park there because your cart will lock before you get to that spot. Or else if a single parking spot or entire row is off limits, then rope it off, and just go ahead and have a smaller parking lot. read more

I don't live in this area so I have never been to a Stater Bros. I was visiting friends and decided to stop by this market to pick up a few items. I must have had a "lost look" on my face since I didn't know where anything was because I was approached by Jesus C. He was very patient and helpful. He literally walked with me to the aisles where my items were located. I work retail and he made my trip worth it driving out this far. I had a very great experience and will definitely be back when visiting again. If you haven't met Jesus at this location, please do. He made shopping a joy again. read more

I usually don't write reviews, and I wish it was a positive one... I moved to California recently, I've been to 3 different Stater Bros, in my area, not by choice. They are the closest grocery stores around. They all seem to be the same quality, NOT good! Overpriced! Horrible stale, overpriced bakery products, and everything else is pricey. I purchased some bakery items for Thanksgiving , very familiar with the products purchased cause I used to order the same at Smith's, Ralph's and Von's but for much better price and actually fresh. Signed up for the loyalty card, tried using it at the checkout but it didn't work, so I asked the cashier if I could possibly get the discount anyway since I had the loyalty card number. The answer was , " CAN'T DO IT". any other business that cares about having you as a customer would gladly offer the discount, but NOT THIS PLACE! I work in customer service industry, and this place doesn't offer much of it, nor does it try. I had the same experience in all locations. Very disappointing, cause I heard good this about this store from people in the area but I guess when you have nothing else to compare to, youd' think this is the standard. I use to go to this location 10 years ago when I lived out in Yucaipa, visiting friends then. It was different and ofcourse less crowded. Beaumont has grown dramatically ever since & it's probably one out of two Stater Bros. out here. The fact that it's more crowded now was not the real issue. We were staying in Cherry Valley this past weekend and it was the closest market. Must have gone there the whole time we were out there. And every single time, the store employees were quite rude to us - also every time we went, there was always someone sweeping down the aisles. I get that, keeping it clean, but not once did either of them say excuse me, (different employees) & one of them seemed to enjoy sweeping right thru as as if we were invisible-at least three times, twice in the same aisle we were on & had attitude as if we were in his way. Also, a few people stocking shelves were also grumpy & rude when we said excuse me to get thru. The lady in the bread section could at least try to smile, she looked like she hated being there. Only 1 cashier out of the days we stayed acknowledged or greeted us. I love Stater Brothers and they have the freshest & best meat/bakery/produce, but had enough of the rude treatment at this location. My husband seems to think it's because were not quite the same like the others; I beg to differ as city has grown & is more diverse. We did get treated poorly by someone like us. Honestly don't know nor care, it was just an unpleasant experience and never get that from both Yucaipa & Calimesa locations. Some of the other reviews seemed to have mentioned that too. Though I love the employees of Stater Brothers and their prices are pretty fair considering what's going on at this current time. They lie about being covid safe. They are doing the bare minimal usually not even that. They have foods that are open to anyone touching them such as the French bread and the muffins and rolls in the bakery. There are employees I know that do not have vaccines because I know them and they are not wearing masks. Almost no one wears a mask. The people that handle your fresh food in the deli don't wear masks or even wear gloves anymore. Knowing that even with the vaccine you can spread the disease. It's really disgusting. So I do not buy any deli food anymore and I do not buy any unwrapped Bakery products our products prepared in the State of Brothers Bakery. It is sad that companies lie and say they're covid safe and they're not. The disinfectant stations are usually empty if you can find them once I found one on the back end of the store. You never see them disinfecting anymore. This is the behavior that's making sure this disease will not stop anytime soon. So I don't eat any food from there that I can't wash the container it came in or cook the food to make sure it kills any virus that could be on it. I wish I had other choices Of where to buy my food but they're all the same here. It is too bad we're not holding businesses accountable for the disease they let allowed to be spread via their employees and products. Businesses should be fine and people should go to jail for making others people sick this is ridiculous. There are laws on the books about allowing your employees to spread communicable diseases. We need to start enforcing them. The end result of this is obvious. If you cannot trust their food safety during a deadly pandemic can you trust it at any other time?
