Worst service. Price is outrageous. You'd save more money going down the street. Rip off

THE BEST burrito I've had yet. It's a small supermarket, private parking lot and plenty of spaces…read more Ambiance is that of a Bodega. As you walk in the food counter is to the left. Their menu is posted above the cashier as well as the specials being posted closer to where you stand in line. Visited during a weekday around lunchtime and there were only a few other people ordering food. Tried a chicken burrito with everything (lite rice, beans, green salsa, guacamole and chipotle). The burritos are a good size. I only ate half then saved the rest for dinner. The burrito was delish, SUPER FLAVORFUL. Each bite was so good. Wanted to return the following day but it wasn't on my route.

The woman who answered simply said, "Hello," without identifying the store or giving any kind of professional greeting. Yes, of course I know where I'm calling, but as a business, you should still state the name of the establishment when answering the phone. It's basic phone etiquette and professionalism. After I asked my question, I was placed on hold and left there for over three minutes with no update or acknowledgment. It likely would have been even longer had I not finally hung up. I attempted to call back afterward, and no one answered. The staff answering the phones could definitely benefit from proper customer service and phone etiquette training. A simple professional greeting, clear communication, and checking back with a customer who is on hold can make a huge difference. Unfortunately since the recent owner change this favorite local supermarket is not the same as it used to be.

Last minute shopping for ingredients to use for my ham!…read more Maraschino cherries, pineapple juice and pineapple slices!

Just a heads-up for anyone trying to shop at the Vons in Yucaipa: you might want to save your time…read moreand resources and just head somewhere else. On July 6th, I went in to grab their 4th of July weekly special: ribeye steak for $7.99 a pound. The store was absolutely plastered with signs advertising the sale, but when I got to the meat department? Zero ribeyes in sight. Honestly, it made me wonder if everyone in the meat department had lost their fingers and just couldn't count well enough to do a decent inventory check! Jokes aside, this isn't an isolated incident for me. I've lost count of how many times I've left this location feeling defeated because basic essentials--like heavy whipping cream or standard grocery staples--are completely missing from the shelves. If you look at other online reviews, it's clear I'm not the only miserable shopper; there are tons of other incredibly frustrated customers dealing with issues at this store, even if they are complaining about different things. We aren't in a pandemic anymore, so there's no major supply chain crisis. Modern stores use computerized POS systems that track customer habits and automatically trigger reorders. Whether the staff just doesn't know how to use the inventory system or the distribution center is treating this store unfairly, they just cannot keep things properly stocked. Frustrated, I drove over to the Albertsons in Redlands (same parent company!). They had plenty of heavy whipping cream and the $7.99/lb ribeye ready to go. I also stopped by Stater Bros., which had an incredible, robust selection of the sale ribeye and the rest of my groceries. I've officially made a note to myself to stop wasting my time at the Yucaipa Vons. Hopefully, this saves some of you from a frustrating, empty-handed trip!

I visited this country store after apple picking since my friends and I were craving apple cider…read moreand my experience here was pretty good. The apple cider was good, but I would've preferred it to be colder and not served in a Styrofoam cup. I'm assuming that's because it was the end of the day and it looked like they were running out of apple cider and other materials. I also got the apple cider popsicle for $2 which was a good deal. It was good, but I didn't like how the juice separated from the water during the freezing so it tasted like regular ice by the time I got to the core of the popsicle. For food, I tried their Strawberry Banana Sweet Bread and that was my favorite thing! It was not too sweet and moist. It was $6.50, but not too bad for a whole loaf. The interior was fun and rustic. There are several things to shop for from different baked goods to nic nacs. The service here was pretty good and the staff seemed nice and personable. There's some parking out front as well as some picnic benches and tables with nice views of the mountains and foliage while you enjoy your treats. Overall, a good stop for some casual shopping and to enjoy a sweet treat if you're ever in the Oak Glen area.

The staff was so nice and friendly made me miss home. The. Christmas jam was delicious and now my favorite. I was worried they weren't going to have winesap apples since it wasn't apple season but I was so happy they had them. I was able to bring back a bag to Hawai'i with me in my carry one. If you like varieties of apples this is the place to go to. They give you slices to try and it's so hard to pick which one because they all taste so good. Mahalo and A Hui Hou.
