UPDATE: As of 7/18/2026, there still has been no resolution even after multiple calls with Customer Support, the last agent I spoke with on 7/14/2026 let me know that this would be escalated, only to later receive another email saying that my request was DENIED, and that the denial is coming from the store itself. Got home, saw that app prices/coupons not applied, contacted store, told I should have noticed and brought it to their attention before I left the store. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL BAKERY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. We ordered a cake, not complicated and received the cake with all the writing off centered sloppy and crooked, the border of icing was the thickness of a pencil eraser not the beautiful flower dollop icing like displayed on the website. Asked politely and respectfully for them to write us a new cake and atleast center the "Happy Birthday" and was told "I mean it's a cake, we don't have a thing to stay in the lines, we only have one decorator here today and you don't like her work so you'll just have to make due, it's just a cake" Absolutely appalled at this. They were so rude and dismissive and did not care to please the customer at alllll! It's a damn bakery that promotes and shows beautiful cakes on the app and website and my 10 year old could have decorated this cake better. read more

While it seems a lot of folks are sore at this Albertsons, I can safely say I appreciate it. Like many grocery stores in Baton Rouge, it's a dated chain with a big parking lot and not enough people working there. However, the deals that can be found here are fairly good and the selection of seafood here is good enough to where I don't have to consider shopping elsewhere. Now that other mega grocery spots have entered the BR-sphere, Albertson's seems somewhat pedestrian in size. The aisles are a bit more narrow and the checkered floor has a classic look to it. There is almost always parking available and no one has to fight over the grocery carts; which are stacked neatly for people coming in. I don't care much about ice cream, but I'm pleased to report this Albertson's has a nice inventory of Blue Bell ice cream, the finest in the South. As mentioned already, the seafood selection is outstanding. I've purchased everything from salmon fillets, lobsters, crab legs, mussels, scallops, and shrimp. The staff there will skin, sauté, peel, filet, etc. to one's liking. Talk about super convenient. Not going to harp on some of the miscues here, which include a semi-lackluster produce section and some incredibly slow service. It's like some of the register folks can't push buttons fast enough to keep people from groaning out of frustration. The prices here are an attraction enough to where everything else (and self-checkout) is merely a distraction. read more

Horrible. I had completed getting all items on my list and the groceries in my basket. I get to the front of the store and there are not any open lanes with a cashier. A female employee was standing by the registers, and I asked which lane to go to. She told me we only have self check out. I told her I need a cashier to check out. She told me no, and also had a horrible attitude. She told me I had to self checkout. I told her no and left my basket full of groceries and left. I do not go to stores to shop and check myself out. read more

Biggest complaint is the parking lot. One whole side of it is so torn up with big craters in it. They put buggies in the holes as a solution. The store itself is usually always pretty clean and well stocked. I wish all the cold stuff was together, but it's not a huge deal. The staff is usually pretty friendly. Albertson's is not on my top list of grocery stores I go to, but when I need the following items: Community Coffee bags, Lays potato chips, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Chobani (flip yogurt), I usually go there. The store has always been pretty organized and I know where everything is at this store, so I can usually go in to shop in under 15 minutes. During the summer, they have a large array of freshly cut fruit packs. If you want ice cream cakes, they have them! When they have sales on Community Coffee bags, they are pretty good sales. My family and I love Lays potato chips and they always have a variety of flavors there. This is one of the few stores in town that I can find Ben & Jerry's "Tonight Dough" (with Jimmy Fallon on the front) ice cream. I love that ice cream... my favorite. This is your run-of-the-mill grocery store though. A lot of everyday things, they have there. I buy a lot of organic produce and they don't have a lot there (I shop elsewhere for it). Also, in the past year, customer service has gotten better at this Albertsons. I'm just sad that they no longer have the Chase Bank in there. It was so convenient. Lastly, they do have a pharmacy that has been super helpful to us in the past. read more

Some of the employees are great and some of them not so much. The stockers were super nice. The cashier was barely polite. The lady at the meat department was nice. The store was stocked. I only speak of my experience with the cashiers and store in this review, not the bakery, deli, or liquor store as I did not go into those areas. I ran in for just a few items, but there was a lot of disheveled items around every corner. I wanted to grab some ground beef, but the packages were all leaking grease and blood, so i skipped them. I grabbed a few items and headed to check out. There was only one cashier there (this was at about 6pm in the evening, but they were opening another one.) However, there was no interaction between me, the customer, and the clerk. She was having a conversation with another clerk about their work schedule and how someone was asking off again the next day so everyone else was having to cover for that person. When she handed me my receipt, out of habit, I said "thank you," to which she replied the ever so hated, "no problem." Gee, I'm glad my purchasing from this store was not a problem for you at your job..... The plus I give this is that the location is convenient. I can't avoid it, but I can limit my visits here. I will say, I have had a positive, swift, and pleasant experience grabbing a quick bottle of wine for a dinner event, but the main store.... Let's just say i will be happy to go a little out of my way to find another place to shop. read more

I'm about ready to divorce you! What on earth is going on TEssn and Perkins? First you completely destroy the floor plan, making it inconvenient to shop. Then you normally don't have a casier after 9 (whyy don't you just close at 9, then????) Tonight, I rush together there and do my shopping, checking out at 815. No registers are open. Charisma the self checkout person rudely tells me that that is my only option. Guys, I don't work for you, and it is ridiculous to think I a going to check myself out. She was rude, ad when I commented, she stated:you don't wanna be rude with me todY!: is this a threat to me? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? If high prices, scrappy, rude, threatening service, Inconvenient floor plans are part of your future business model, let me know. I m happy to drive the other direction to your competitor. I guarantee, if I am being treated this way by Carissa, then your other customers are too. Seems like somewhere you need to start looking in the mirror, and identify how, and why your store management s allowing this to happen. It is disgusting! read more

This is a review of the pharmacy. I came from the urgent care next door. I was a problem all around. Out of town...new insurance, with just a temp card. What a disaster for me, but the folks behind the counter were nothing but patient and friendly and helpful. In the end, we just used some discount card that they have at the desk and the prices were better than good rx. The pharmacist explained all of the meds for my sinus infection thoroughly and wished me a good trip. Thank you so much! read more

Looking for boiled/steamed seafood, Albertsons does it for you. I always order crabs or shrimp steamed here and you can get them mild or spicy. Just bought some steamed snow crabs yesterday and they were delicious! Can't remember the name of the individual that was working but she steamed them just right. Juicy and seasoned to perfection. Kudos to Mr. Jordan Savoy. Today, I went to Albertsons' thinking leg quarters were on sale; they were not. My story started when my boss went to Sam's in Denham Springs, LA this morning for one of her clients who had called her earlier because she needed food. My boss brought the staples by the office prior to delivery, however, there was no meat. I misread Albertsons' weekly flyer and went to get her some leg quarters. Needless to say, they weren't on sale, however, I spoke with the manager, Mr. Savoy, who pleasantly greeted me and assisted. I purchased leg quarters and a small package of meat for the client for $9.95. Thanks to Albertsons for helping me pull this off. The clerk that paged the manager was NOT pleasant at all. There's a scripture in Proverbs 19:17 that says, "He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he has given." After a long night of work all I wanted to do was stop in and get some beer, as I approached the counter the girl screams card only. I walk up check out there is always a problem when I come here, tonight was no different I have been having cars problems for sometime after my chip stopped malfunctioning I have checked out at this location several times. Tonight I guess it wasn't worth trying as after a few tries she hands me my card back and says I can't get it to work next please. Shame I shouldn't have to suffer because you can't get the machine to work the same machine I have checked out at several times. I guess I'll have to go to Walmart down the road a few miles away, way to drop the ball. read more

So yes it is Christmas and yes I'm very happy they were open but when I walk in and the manager says sorry were closed and I look at my phone and it's 358 and they close at 4 and there are several people shopping I'm not feeling welcome to spend my money so I tell her (Nadine) yes you are open and she tells me to hurry up I have a problem then I walk up to a line and the girl with multicolor hair says I'm not open and laughs at me I'm pretty upset please if you own this Albertsons please fire 90% of your employees I'm a regular customer (everyday for something) and I always go to the same cashiers bc usually their the only ones who are nice to me terrible location and terrible rude employees read more

I come here quite a bit because it is just so convenient to stop by on my way home from work to grab a few things quickly. If this wasn't the case I would probably never shop here! Hypothetically, if this place swapped locations with Costco or Trader Joe's, I may forget Albertsons exists. They do have a lot of potential to become better, but unfortunately their short fall appears to be in the lack of pride and customer service you notice from their employees. It is practically depressing and you can see that reflection in the store, such as the cleanliness (especially the restrooms), the floors, shopping carts, some of the produce and overall quasi-dungeon appearance of the store. But like I said before, because of my personal circumstances I am only a customer because of the convenience of the location! read more

I do enjoy seeing what other state's food stores are like and heading down to Louisiana, I was most definitely going into one of the local food stores. Albertsons is large and it's pretty easy to find things but the set-up is different than mine (for obvious reasons as it's not an Albertsons). I asked a worker where an item was and he quickly found it for me. The brands here aren't the ones at my store but it's because I was 1,350 miles away, it's to be expected. Overall; nice store, decent prices (one of my items was way pricey which was a shock to me) and they sell Saints and LSU stuff here, such a huge market for it I guess. read more

Albertsons is growing on me even though I prefer a local or family owned establishment in general. This place has 2 packs of 4 Atkins shakes for $9. So that is 8 shakes at basically a dollar a piece. Um yea, that's a cheap breakfast in my book. Anyway, I mainly come here when I need fresh seafood and meats and also dog food. When I need veggies I'm at Southside produce and when I need anything other than dog food and meats I'm at Mathernes. But like I said before this place is growing on me...I really like a brand of ice cream they carry. I think it is called ridgewood farms. Its in a yellow and red container and it is really cheap. Very soft. Oh, and they have a good beer and liquor section. read more

It is 3/13/16. At 6:15 pm I walked in to this store to purchase some things from the customer service counter. When I walked up, no employee was working behind the counter. I stood there for 10 minutes before a cashier yelled to me, "she done went somewheres, what you need?" I said I wanted to buy some cigarettes. She replied, "oh yeah you'll have to wait on her to get back. I don't know where she done went." Another 15 minutes passed before "Keery/keely" (couldn't understand her name when another cashier asked where she had went) finally walked behind the CUSTOMER SERVICE counter, where she asked, "what you need?" with a horrible attitude as if the line that had now formed was inconveniencing her. My question is.... what is Albertson's definition of customer service? If that employee is your answer, then I will never be shopping in any of your locations ever again. read more

I can't find a thing any more in this store since the 'remodel '. Things were obviously arranged by men at corporate who never grocery shop. They think they are tricking stupid shoppers into buying more by making us hunt for our groceries. They are losing customers. No help and not enough checkers working the registers. They are walking around more confused than the shoppers. They can't figure it out either. The two positive things I can add are my bank is located there and they just got new carts. Too bad the carts came to late for me I'm done shopping at that sorry excuse for a grocery. They should have left good enough alone. read more

I usually shop here if I need to grab something really quick. They are a little more pricey than the other grocery stores, but they have deals all of the time. The buy 1 get 2 free steaks and pork chops are always the first thing I grab when it's tailgate season. The employees are always nice and offering a helping hand. The bakery has improved. They have more cakes and cupcakes now :) I'm happy about that since this is where I come to buy all the birthday celebration things for my coworkers. read more

Good selection, good prices, helpful employees while I was shopping. My only disappointment was the extremely poor bagging--had someone just to bag and she was just tossing things in. I shop with reusable bags which can hold a lot when bagged with a little thought. I had to rearrange to get cold and fragile items out from under heavier items. read more

The employees are always SOOO NICE, always asking if they can find something for you! They are always having sales, and their produce section is ok. There is an adjoining liquor store that will get you in and out the store quick. If the lines every start to get long , the manager quickly opens up more lanes! read more

This location of Albertsons has removed many of their product choices simplifying their line up greatly but removing many of the selections we enjoyed. Will explore other supermarkets in the area to find one that has a proper product variety. read more
