Something occurred today while my cashier was ringing up my purchases I feel shouldn't. Several other cashiers gathered and a manager began (after my cashier had started ringing up my purchases) what appeared to be an impromptu meeting to discuss the day's working schedule. It seems someone wasn't going to come in and it threw the entire day's schedule off. They continued to talk, the cashier continued to scan my purchases. This sort of meeting could have waited a few moments - speak to the cashiers that weren't busy, fill in the cashier helping me later. Customers don't attend staff meetings!! read more

Rouses boiled crawfish are not good. I've tried them for the last time. The past three times I've gotten them, they are overcooked and so mushy that you just can't eat them, and they always are sandy (probably not rinsed well). They are a little cheaper than some places, but don't be fooled, they just aren't worth it. I'm done with Rouses boiled crawfish. read more

As always, they prepared the trays we needed for our first communion party, but while I was picking it up, I saw their beautiful breakfast bar for 799 per pound, never bought a breakfast prepared breakfast by weight before. But I did get their breakfast pizza and their quiche And they were both excellent. read more

It's a fine grocery store for just about everything including chicken and pork, but their beef is consistently borderline rancid. The expiration date is often the day after you buy it, but even using it 3 days before expiring it still can smell noticeably off. It's a good grocery store, but skip the beef. read more

This has to be the cleanest stores ever. Good wine selection a prices. There is a good deli and meat dept. they have a weekly add with good sales. The bathrooms are clean. I think their King Cake is the best one ever. read more

We approached the counter to make a purchase. Aaron asked for the id's. I asked if he needed all three considering two of us were buying wine. He was very nasty. When asked by the one who was not buying liquor if he needed his ID, he cut him off. We all gave ID's and we were telling him it was not necessarily mandatory. He and just telling him we were in law school. He told us we needed to retake the course. The manager,Sharon, then said "deny those niggers" transaction. I told Aaron I just want my item. I asked if i could speak to the manager. She refused. She walked passed us, called us niggers again, and slammed the door. We left. read more

I absolutely LOVE this Rouses. Not only is it super nice on the inside, but they have delicious quick grab and go meal options. They also have some of the best sushi. Rouses in general has really good sushi, but I think this one has a really great selection. It's always a very pleasant shopping experience and I have zero complaints! read more

The stores are always clean and well stocked. I have shopped the Rouses supermarkets since I lived in Thibodaux and Houma.

WOW. I can only speak to my shopping experience here today as I didn't utilize any of the deli or other services, but from the time I entered the parking lot to the time I checked out, I was super impressed. Having decided to take a break from my Rouse's location at Drusilla for a while due to poor experiences, I was hesitant to drop in here on route to a friend's BBQ today. Thankfully i didn't let my poor local store stop me. I really like the entry way into this store- a garage feeling with fresh plants and patio furniture available for purchase. The service area is huge and spacious with a large variety of goods. I found som good pastries for sharing. The wine and beer selection is huge and well laid out. The staff was helpful. The produce section was beautifully large. I grabbed a few fresh goods for the week in addition to the party needs, and enjoyed cruising the area just to take a look. While my life doesn't often bring me to the Burbank/Lee area, I'm thankful to know there is a new, clean, and fresh Rouse's to go to. Hopefully if I ever decide to try their deli services, they will not disappoint, but i'm hesitant to do so due to their poor sister stores. read more

Stopped by this Rouses as I was on this side of town and I know this one just recently opened. It's got a similar layout to most Rouses recently built. It did take a minute to get any attention at the stations where you can't grab it yourself but when I was helped the people were really nice. Would recommend for grocery shopping needs as it is very clean and organized. read more

This is my favorite Rouses Market! During COVID months, they've had handwashing stations outside, staff has been spraying off carts and they have tape on the floors inside the store to mark where you should be standing, if you're waiting for something inside at a food counter. They have fried chicken and some darn good fried chicken, too! $6 for 8 pieces was legit! I came during the day and bought two orders of fried chicken and it was so delicious. Their bakery was complete with cakes ranging from single serve to full-size. I'm so impressed with their seafood section and how robust of a selection they had. It's crawfish season and I saw bags of boiled crawfish for sale. I was craving crab and they had a pint size of crab claw meat. Need ice cream? They had plenty of it. Customer service was really good, too. This is located in a brand new shopping center on Lee Drive and Burbank (called Arlington Plaza). I will definitely be back =) read more

Wow! This is a large Rouse's. They have so much to choose from and the stores is laid out in an effective manor. They also have a large liquor area that is almost a separate store. I really like that so much is behind refrigerated doors instead of semi-out, such as lettuce or even sandwich meat. It masks so much sense. read more

This is my favorite rouses to shop at. It feels so much different than the other rouses I have been to. It is set up differently and just feels very clean and well organized. I do wish they carried more brands of cleaning products with more natural ingredients like Method or Seventh Generation. A while back they had a huge bin full of random shirts all for $1 so we stocked up on lots of long sleeve shirts. It was awesome but kind of odd, as I dont think that they even sell clothing in the store?? Oh well, I kept warm all winter so I'm not complaining! All of the meat and produce I've gotten here has been great quality and I have not had any issues with any of it. They have a nice beer and wine section and lots of in house cooked foods. The bakery is great and sometimes I have to avoid even looking so I dont leave with like 5 packs of cookies! LOL read more

As close as an HEB as we'll probably ever get here. I guess I'm making this comparison because I was just in Austin and went to the HEB. This Rouses is similar in that there is a lot of prepared stuff to buy and a great selection off the shelf too. I've been to this location a few times since they've opened. The freshness of the fruit and vegetables is a hit or miss. Although neatly placed and organized, I've found the fruit to be often bruised and old. I wouldn't pick this market over the ones right around the corner. ROUSES!!! The Louisiana superstore!! Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. In every department I went through, at least two employees asked if I needed anything. In the meat department, I was asked 4 times! The butcher block delivers on there promise of fresh cut because what I desired was just that, freshly cut to my specifications. This is the epitome of customer service. The store was really busy and the employees were still able to give excellent service. The seafood department is the same way. There were no boiled crabs available and I was informed that if I had 15 minutes to spare, they would boil some for me! Once again, the epitome of CUSTOMER SERVICE. While I waited. I visited the sushi bar for a Teriyaki bowl that I was able to partake in at the sitting area while I watched tv, all provided by Rouses. The store director/manager was walking around making sure customers were satisfied and that everything was where it needed to be. If you need anything, I'm am confident that this Rouses can provide it. From fresh flowers, fresh sushi, to boudin, Rouses can provide it! Oh did I mention, they deliver! That's right Rouses delivers! All you have to do is order at Rouses.com and they will deliver. I'm not sure the limits on the delivery service, but I applaud the fact that this service is offered. This is a great location that's convenient, but I had trouble maneuvering through the store and finding items when they first opened. I love that they have a of different food options with not only groceries, but also an m&m station, diy nut butter station, butcher, and a lot sweet treats. I found out they have a hot breakfast bar, so I decided to stop by one morning. Again super convenient, but the grits were way too salty. Still might give it another try. read more

As a former Neighborhood Walmart shopper I wish I would've gone to this Rouses sooner. Feels like a good medium between a Trader Joe's/Whole Foods and a Walmart. Always has great selection of local products (especially beer). Couldn't recommend it enough! read more

This is the worst Rouses I have ever been to and it's all due to the horrible, lazy, apathetic employees! Unfortunately it's the closest Rouses to me and I've had multiple bad experiences here. Employees avert eyes away from you when you try to order anything at the hot food area and don't want to do their basic jobs. For instance when you ask for fresh fried chicken, they'll tell you they're done frying for the day even if it's mid day. Forget any other custom requests, they don't even want to do the bare minimum let alone going above and beyond. If you ask where anything is, they just shrug and say I don't know. The cashiers also don't want to be there and just seem miserable like their jobs are the bane of their existence. It is just an overall unpleasant experience shopping here. I get better service at Walmart and local fast food chains. It's worth the drive to go to the Drusilla/Jefferson Hwy Rouses instead or better yet another grocery store all together. Never shopping here again, lost business for good. And will be sharing these bad experiences with friends and family as well. Asked for Mac n cheese day of thanksgiving and they lost my order and gave me some gross last minute pulled together pan of slop to put in my oven thanksgiving day. Maybe tones to get it right? ok. where do i start. i wanted to get a sandwich tray for tonight so i dont have to cook, so i can watch the game. i wanted to use this store as it is right by my work. have been here a lot and have to say that the people that work here are not always the friendliest. well they couldn't make my sandwich tray, they have some made up already from yesterday. they have to have 24 hour notice. i really don't want yesterdays sandwiches. we already have too many to make today. now its 9:45am and i wanted it by 3:30pm. always have some negative in this store. have had the cashier to busy with their cell phone to ring up my groceries to being completely ignored by the people behind the deli meat counter. bet i can order a sandwich tray somewhere else today. read more
