This is the biggest Sprouts I've ever been in. It is quite large and has large sections for food. In fact, based upon the food I'd give this Sprouts Five stars. But at 8:00 am they had one open register with about five people in line and no end in sight. Finally, a woman clogged things up so much that another woman came to help. They had mostly stocked shelves (there were some gaps). Overall it was a good shopping experience. read more

What a delight to have a Sprouts in Baton Rouge! First, before I give my input, if you have Facebook, be sure to find the Sprouts Coupons / Deals page - people from across the country post what deals are out there. It was great when i got a notification that all frozen items were on sale, saved me a ton of money and stocked up my supply! The store is very well laid out and clean. They had a lot more "regular" items than i expected them to, a nice surprise. My most recent visit brought me to the amazing veggie selection, stocking my cart up with all sorts of seasonal items at really good prices. They have a decent wine selection and good enough prices on beer, especially local brews. Their prepared food selection was fresh and very diverse, and I grabbed a little something from there for dinner. I have not yet tried the meats, but others I know have echoed what was said about the toughness of the beef. They always have fresh, seasonal flowers to grab on your way out as well. And the candy and nuts you can bag yourself are a fun way to mix up your own snacks. Staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the store, and I watched as one employee was about to leave help a sweet older neighbor to her car with her buggy. Wish I could give this stars - this place is AMAZING- I just overly excited that I no longer have to drive to Texas & full up a cooler full of groceries I can now just drive about 30 mins to a store here in my area- AGAIN THIS PLACE IS AWESOME they have everything you need from kitchen supplies (soaps, napkins & etc. To the freshest fruits & veggies. They have a deli where you can get meats & cheese & order food. A good selection of alcoholic beverages. A huge section of frozen foods to choose from. And did I mention everything is labeled for those of us that are vegan or looking for gluten free items just look for the labels. The prices are reasonable and I found them to be lower then the other grocery stores in Baton Rouge & surrounding areas. New organic grocery store in B.R. It was nice and clean!! A lady by the name of the Denise assisted us. She was nice and sweet, and very knowledgeable. I told her it was our first time visiting the store. Buy that being said she offered us some free samples of our choice of candy. There's everything from vitamins, candy, vegetables, you name it. I was at Sprouts this afternoon. It's just not the same since Mr. Gerald left the store. He was the store manager and the store was beautiful and always stocked well. The bread i like wasn't even there. There were also NO paper towels in the ladies' room. I used to buy the large bags of Collard Greens there. They no longer get them. I'm so disappointed that I haven't stopped by sooner! Sprouts has the best produce, cheeses, and meats. It also has a huge selection of take and bake at home dinners. It always has a fresh and clean smell unlock the different whiffs you get at other grocery stores. The sushi looks good though I haven't tried any- my daughter has and says that it is good. I started to go to Sprouts more than the local chain store because of the better quality, there are never any long lines, the workers seem happy to be there and go out of their way to help. It has become part of our weekend routine. There is a huge variety of products that you don't see in other stores and so it is always interesting to try something new. read more

Well, thank you Sprouts for opening up less than 1-minute from where I live. This store pretty much everything I need for my weekly needs: organic green veggies, fruits, cooked chicken, eggs, oat milk, flax seed, probiotics, make-up, wine for events and healthy snacks. I like that the store is not overly big and I can get in and out of there fairly quick. The checkout lines have always been quick and customer services has been pretty decent. For all the times I have been, it's been pretty well stocked and organized. If you like organic products, they have plenty and in the produce section, the green plastic bags are for organic produce. I especially like that they have vegan desserts and gluten-free desserts. If you like sushi, they are always making fresh sushi and octopus salads. The deli... grab your sandwich on-the-go. If you don't have much time to cook, they have plenty of ready-made meals on-hand, too. Some of my favorite things to get at this store: organic kale & other veggies, giant pieces of ginger root, rotisserie chicken, desserts and their make-up (they have all of the mineral make-up items that I love). I feel so fortunate to have this store so close to me. They are all over (back home) in California, so super excited that it's made it here to Louisiana! read more

I have shopped here about 5 times already since they opened. The prices are good and the produce is so fresh and the prices are pretty good. The yellow and red bell peppers were the cheapest and freshest I've saw anywhere in a while so I decided to get some today and make Hungarian stuffed bell peppers for supper tonight. Sprouts had everything I needed, the grass fed ground beef was $5.99 a pound and they had so many choices of onions to choose from I got green onion for .79 cents a bunch and a sweet onion as well. Fresh vine tomatoes were under $1 per pound. I am so impressed with just how fresh and pretty the produce is. The artichokes were huge, fresh and gorgeous and the avocados were also nice. The fruit is priced great as well and so many choices so I got 2 packs of fresh strawberries and some fresh rhubarb and made a strawberry rhubarb pie for supper. I can't wait to go see catches my eye to cook for supper tomorrow besides the butternut squash I saw today. Oh the chicken prices are fantastic as well. They do have sodas made with cane syrup which I've been missing every time I've been but I guess I just hadn't noticed them until today. Ok I wish there was a way to rate this grocery market between vegetables and meats! The fruits and veggies I'd give 5 stars every time. But today I spent $33.00 on 2 ribeyes they were $19 something per pound so you'd think super tender but nope!!!! TOUGH AS HELL !!!! This is a really cool shop that is like a cousin to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.... Their Double Crust Apple Pie is delicious. I brought one back to New Orleans and ate it the next day and it still tasted fresh. I usually pick around the filling but the apples in there were perfectly sweet and the spices were not too overpowering. I would drive back there just to buy the Apple Pie TBH. They have a nice selection of Specialty items, fresh produce and bakery items. I wish they had one back in NOLA. read more

I love Sprouts. I was so happy to see one here, I risked Killer Mosquitoes, Extreme Sauna like weather, and HOT rain... just to be able to forage through all the fresh vegetables, delectable vegan alternative foods, and Cashew milk.... I could practically hear the Angels' harps playing as I was surrounded by so many beloved animal free products... it was practically magical. And the employees there were so friendly and helpful. So much variety! All the employees seem so nice and helpful. Even though it was packed I was able to grab a buffalo chicken wrap and baked potato soup from the deli in no time. Just took a couple of minutes and both are yummy. The parking lot is a mess. They could use a few more stop signs to indicate right of way and some of the turns are tight. The sneeze guard on the soup seemed too low, I kept smacking the ladle into it trying to dish my soup. Great opening day. read more

Very disappointed with my experience here. Was expecting to find great prices on fresh product but that was not the case. Prices were comparable to Whole Foods, with less selection and quality. The strawberries I looked through were molded and leaking, see the picture below to peek the raspberries! I asked a staff member what type of apples one was and he replied "a green one". I love shopping at Sprouts! I really love that place. However!! The last several times I've gone there, the deli has been terribly understaffed. I don't think this is the fault of anyone in the deli, but whoever has power over the schedule should set more people working there! A green-haired deli worker was there alone last time I was there. It's a multi-person operation that was left to this single worker: unacceptable. They had to drop whatever they were doing to help me which was nice but should've been entirely unnecessary. I hope the management gets their act together to support the workers at this fine grocery store. read more

I have to give credit where it is due here and thank sprouts for my obsession with naan and hummus (I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse - only time will tell). Sprouts is very similar to Whole Foods, in my opinion but a bit pricier. Definitely take advantage of their sales so you can enjoy their amazing quality foods, on a budget. The produce section is awesome and you can find amazing deals on seasonal fruits and veggies. They have a meat counter but also a section of prepackaged in house meats, so if you go there late when they're already closing down the meat counter, you still have access to the meat. They have a nice beer and wine selection. My biggest complaint is lack of options in the dairy section. They do offer alot of dairy substitutes but alot of items, they seem to only carry 1 brand, so if you dont like that brand, you'll have to shop elsewhere. The baked goods area is not bad. A little of this a little of that but nothing absolutely outstanding. They have a pretty good selection of vitamins and supplements if that's your thing!! Generally, I dont shop at sprouts for all of my groceries. I take advantage of sales and then grab the rest at whole foods. read more

I appreciate the health-centric store environment and caring employees, which enhance the experience. Though expensive, this store is worth a visit. I am so excited that there's a Sprouts in town! We loved shopping there when we lived in Texas, and this one in Baton Rouge is just as good. Sure, it's a bit of a drive for me, since I live on the Westside, but it's worth it. The bulk section is amazing. The produce selection is wonderful, and it all looks fresh and delicious. And you can score great deals on meats if you shop the sales. Pork loin for 99 cents a pound? Yes, please!
