I purchased my car a year ago and began having problems starting my car and told my friend about it and as soon as she saw my key she told me i needed a new one. I went online and searched for the nearest locksmith shop and came across Alcatraz, i decided to give them a shot after reading their great reviews. As soon as i walked in i was greeted with a beautiful smile by Ruth and was so patient and kind in explaining the process. I had no idea how poorly the condition of my key was in and if i would have waited any longer it could have damaged the lock of my car door and engine(as you can see in the picture above). Extremely ignorant and unhelpful business. Ignored everything I said, including detailed messages with links and pictures, and replied to everything with the same automated, pre-defined message, no matter what I said. Essentially, refused to even listen/read or understand what kind of project I have. This review edit is a response to the business owner's reply to my review. I've provided thorough, detailed description in my message what I want to do. I've provided multiple web links, pictures and even lock schematics references in my very detailed message, and I put a great deal of thought and time into writing it in advance. So, what I WOULD LOVE to know from this guy is two things: 1. Which specific information did he think was missing? 2. Based on the time stamps in the chat, he replied to me with "it's best to call us" literally 2 minutes after I sent him long, detailed message with the aforementioned multiple links, pictures and lock schematics. There is no way anyone would have been able to review my entire message with all the links, pictures and schematics in just 2 minutes, which makes it abundantly clear beyond any reasonable doubt the guy did NOT read my message at all. So, given the fact he did not read anything I said before telling me to call, in an arrogant way, too - how did he determine that what was provided was "not enough information"?? read more
