Located in the C terminal of the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport, it was a welcome oasis. I sat down at a table with the requisite charging stations and with the phone scan ordering available, placed an order and it arrived surprisingly quickly. I did not expect to find a very healthy Arugula salad that was chocked full of walnuts! It's tough to have any kind of ambience when you have a very busy stream of travelers passing by, but the chairs were low and the half wall made it feel somewhat protected. My experience here was just what I needed while waiting for my next plane departure. I even liked the music! read more

Really nice waitress at Alchemy in Houston Airport. The food was fine - not really anything special. Order two meals of the SAME THING. while Sadly, one meal was served on a nice clean plate, the other meal served on a burned blackened metal tray. When you're eating runny eggs on a blackened metal try for a meal bill of $75, you expect more. read more

Scam warning. Ordered by QR code at the table. Food never came, no server in sight. Cocktail was terrible, no olive in martini. Requested immediate help on the app. Nobody came. This place is a scam. The airport should give the concession to a more worthy restaurant. I requested a refund online. The message said I could expect an answer in 7 business days. I stopped by this lounge in the Houston airport after being delayed a few times on Monday heading home to Seattle. It's pretty easy to walk up, place your order & they'll deliver it to your bar seat. It was a slight wait but the cocktail was made pretty good. The bartender did spill some when he set it down & there weren't any napkins to clean up the area so I had to grab the attention of staff to get a wet wipe. Altogether, it was an ok in/out experience but as always you pay inflated prices $20. read more

He instead throws the food or drink on the table and walks away. Overpriced for the level of service you get. The menu/ordering app has you tipping upfront; this is not right. The seating area by the windows caught my eye so decided to try Alchemy out. Saw the title Alchemy Cocktail Lounge so already had my tempered view on libations and not food. Ordered an Old Fashion forgetting what bourbon I used (sorry). The drink was a bit strong but palatable, the bartender was very enthusiastic and attentive. If you want a place to lounge out between flights with minimal airport traffic then you might want to find this small gem. read more

I walk up and take an empty seat at the bar. The waitress asks "what are you having?" I point at a giant beer my neighbor is drinking and say I'll have one of those. The waitress says I can order it through the QR code menu. I say "oh man, at the last place none of these worked & ten people complained about it." She responds "I don't see what that has to do with me" Try to open the QR Code menu. It doesn't work. I show it to her. She says "are you on Airport Wifi?" I open the Wi-Fi networks and there is no Airport Wi-Fi listed & I show it to her. She laughs in my face. I shrug and leave ‍ Look up the reviews and it's actually laughable. How stupid are the people that run this business that put put a QR ONLY MENU in a Wi-Fi and coverage -dead zone- EDIT: heard a manager taking to a bartender about why sales were down... it's because you have a QR Menu ONLY in a wifi and coverage dead zone, pay attention. Also, bartenders can actually work instead of being rude and standing around doing nothing. read more

I am continually surprised that reflecting a Gen Z face somehow makes stupid things right. This is the case with Alchemy. It is tucked at a busy throughway T IAH Terminal C. Menu wasn't great, but a bottle of peloton and some chicken tenders can't be that big a deal. I was wrong! They won't take your order...they want you to use the short address app from a WR at the table. Like most fly by night companies, they get their site paid for via a "Contact" app, which is just workbook to adds. You think that you are starting to order but now you're trapped by the acceptor. Many of us are family hideous contact app and avoid it, but there in lies the issue: Alchemy is only their partner in crime, but flimsy web hook loses memory quickly or never gets enough leaving you with a few memo item but no way to order them. Ok! Used the tech as far as they supported, so went up to the counter told the attempts to order. Their answer was we do not take order, you need to do it on the app! If you are going to tech-arrogant you better be tech-good! read more

I had an hour to wait before boarding my flight. I sat down and ordered a cocktail, hummus appetizer, and fries. It took 30 mins before I got the cocktail and water and another 10 before I got the hummus and fries...and this was after inquiring about my order. I had to immediately get a box for the hummus, carrots, and celery to take on the flight, which added more to carry on and made a little mess in my bag. I did like the aviation ($18) as it was made correctly. The fries were just ok. Maybe sit at the bar instead of the tables if you have a shorter connection. read more

Very mediocre. I got the chicken pimento sandwich. There was no pimento cheese. The chicken patty was just that, a chicken patty. Not a big succulent piece of fried chicken like you would picture in your head. Definitely reheated and not made to order, yet I waited over 20 minutes for my sandwich. The sauce on the sandwich is also quite forgettable, no flavor or taste whatsoever. The server was really nice and she is the only spectacular thing about this establishment. At the end of the day, I wouldn't be upset if this was a $6 meal, but it was $23 meal. It's not terrible but definitely not anything great. Nice ambiance though read more

The young man server explained they were out of celery after questioning him and left our table promptly. We waited for him to return with the rest of our order and upon return he had still forgotten my set of silverware and requested water. I had to go to the bar from my table to get water from him and asked for lime wedges for the cocktail, he said they were out.. I asked for lemon wedges instead and he reached into the jar of lemon wedges with his hand and tried to hand them to me with his bare hands. I took a plastic lid off the counter for him to put the lemon wedges on as he just wanted to drop them in my bare hands. Bottom line; overpriced, understaffed, untrained hospitality staff lacking basic principles of service and cleanliness. This computer menu geared to smart phone ordering detaches the staff from attending to patient needs and desires. The billing sets the patron up to automatically pay 18% service fee and if not paying attention , then you are paying even more for a sub standard service. Grossly overpriced for mediocre food. $18 for a chicken sandwich and $15 for a tiny martini (not in a martini glass). The atmosphere is nice but that's about it. If you want food and drink I strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more
