I've been wanting to do Brazilian Laser Hair Removal for a while due to excessive ingrown situation from waxing (sorry if that's TMI) but I have been hesitant due to numerous people saying it hurt. But then I talked to a friend who did I at Bald and suggested them as they offer laughing gas to take the edge off! Brilliant I thought, and finally made my appointment. So the day finally arrived and I was nervous as heck, I sometimes give myself like anxious nerves, but I wasn't going to back down because gosh darn it I just want to be done with shaving lol. Anyways my nurse Lauren was AWESOME, she had such a great energy and was so patient with me; making me feel calm and ready to go. She did a test at a lower level which is recommended for your first time, and continuously checked in with me to make sure I was good, and would have me take deep breaths in areas she knew would be a bit more "spicy" honestly I couldn't have asked for a better nurse! And guys I know it was just my first session but I am telling you I can't believe I was freaking out about this. It was nothing, like a tiny prick. I'm sure down the road when I get closer to being done with appointments (it usually takes anywhere from 6-12 sessions) it might have a bit more discomfort but you work your way up to that and honestly the results are worth it. I am honestly just mad at myself that I didn't start this process sooner!! If you do Brazilian waxes you can do this easy! Also they do a cool promo for your first time getting a discount. It was such an easy process I ended up adding arm pits too because why the heck not!!! And for the next time they offer like bundle deals too. Oh and don't forget to take advantage of the laughing gas! I have been coming here for laser hair removal for several months now. I do feel the laser is less painful than waxing your most private parts, plus there are zero irritation to your skin or ingrown hairs. The laughing gas definitely helps you relax, and as soon as you start inhaling it you're back to a clear head and okay to drive. The prices are the same as other places, so having the gas is an added bonus. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes, but wouldn't even mind it because the waiting area is this charming little bookstore with fun chairs. The staff is very friendly. Amber was absolutely fantastic! She instantly made me feel comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable about the services offered. I waited 30 mins for my appointment and wasn't help so decided to leave. Only thing that kind of redeemed it was they called me and said I could come back whenever for a free service but I doubt I will. The book store in the front is very weird and slightly off putting. BEST SPA EXPERIENCE EVA!! You guys... I have experienced waxing services around the WORLD and I can confirm that there is NO place that I have found to be better than BALD. I came in for waxing services and their knowledgeable staff informed me about their laser hair removal service. I was nervous at first but felt super welcomed and comfortable in the spa so I decided to give it a try. I used laughing gas as an anesthetic and the procedure was PAINLESS. Two words: LIFE-CHANGING. I can't conceptualize how I ever did waxing services on my body without laughing gas. I was actually giggly while Kate performed the procedure on my ENTIRE body. She knew all the right things to say to keep me relaxed and checked on me continuously throughout the experience. Between the cleanliness of the facility, the relaxing vibe of the spa, and the professionalism and excellent customer service from the staff at BALD... I hands down will return every month and I wholeheartedly encourage you to give them a try. I went here about 7 times after dozens of hours of electrolysis elsewhere. I had never met the owner who never seemed to be there when I was. I had two challenges with the service in those 7 visits. During an early session, a client came in and spelled out the "N-word" to explain that they received a stimulus check and wanted to buy services. I was shocked and made it known at the end of my appointment - but the front desk staff was unphased, then acknowledged that the client was "always difficult" and ignored the racism. Next, Bald has a "strict cancellation policy" (which I completely relate with). My appointment was cancelled by them on 90 minutes notice. I emailed to let them know the cancellation caused me additional cost with my daycare provider, and asked that they provide equal forgiveness should I need to miss a future appointment on short notice, or offer a discounted future service because of the 90minutes I was left with to find childcare for the day. The owner emailed me in a rage & to denying my request on the cancellation. I responded relating that I was disappointed. This was my first opportunity to speak to her directly, so I also told her about the racism I heard there a few weeks before. Her esthetician lied about hearing the racist incident or my complaint at the time, and without any critical thought or introspection the owner accused me of inventing the racist story and lying "to be compensated for the cancelled appointment." Rather then take a look at how I was affected by both the racism that they allowed, or by their extremely late cancellation of my appointment, the proclaimed they were "highly woke" and I should never to come back. I believe the electrologist manipulated the story to avoid trouble for ignoring the racist situation and the owner believed her uncritically. I would avoid the services of Danielle for electrolysis, as she seems unstable and willing to lie and manipulate ownership. Ownership was biased and defensive and uninterested in deescalation nor providing a customer solution to either the causal racism of another client nor the challenges they induced with a cancellation on 90minutes notice. read more

This place is a gem! The location is beautiful, as you walk into, what seems like, a gorgeous book store. All of the staff that I interacted with were so pleasant and professional. They thought of everything! I came in for a Brazilian laser treatment. They offered me some Advil before, asked if I needed to use the restroom, and then walked me back to the very clean room. They even offer laughing gas which I have never been offered before for a service like this! The NP was so professional and nice while she explained everything and answered my questions. Then Veronica came back. She is amazing! She once again explained what she would be doing, and even put on my favorite music as a distraction. She was gentle and communicative about what was going on. The whole thing was super quick and totally bearable. When I was finished, they met me back at the front with some sparkling water. DO NOT GET BOTOX HERE! I came in with a girlfriend about two weeks ago to get botox, we were offered their deal of buy 30 units get 10 free. It seemed like a really good deal. 2 weeks later, my left eye is still drooping and my friends eyebrow is arched so high she looks like she has upside down "V" for an eyebrow! The owner did nothing to fix our issues, instead just told us that it's "all in our head." No offer to try and fix it or anything! I couldn't believe how unwilling she was to help us. I had such amazing experiences at Bald! Lynnae gives incredible laser hair removal treatments and waxing. She is efficient and thorough in getting all the hair! I get a Brazilian and my underarms done and she makes me feel so comfortable during the process. Its painless with the laughing gas so I'll be doing my entire body lol. I had an outstanding experience here at Bald. I walked in wanting to know information about fillers for my under eyes to look more rejuvenated. Karen introduced me to PRP injections and told me the benefits of this along with my other options. They scheduled an appointment for me the following day. I also had minimal Botox to prevent wrinkles and help with headaches! I felt extremely taken care of because Karen has been in the field for a long time and is very experienced. The staff is very professional and they also connected with me on a personal level which is important to me! The spa is beautiful laid out, clean, and has a modern touches to it! I've been here twice now for brazilian. The first time, there was only 1 employee there and she was new. There apparently was supposed to be a CNP or PA onsite, but nobody had shown up. She was freaking out but then she called someone who told her to skype them to cover the disclosures (strange)--I was nervous but it went OK. 2nd time was this weekend. She missed a portion of hair on each side. The worst part though, she did not get all the wax off and my butt cheeks stuck together all day long. Like REALLY stuck together and I had a bunch of errands to run. It drove me nuts. I so wanted to make this my new "place" and I'm really disappointed. There will be no strike three for me. Had the best experience there Thursday with a dermaplane facial from Lynnae that left my skin looking so bright and feeling the smoothest it probably ever has, she was so knowledgeable and friendly that I felt comfortable also starting lazerhair removal treatments on my Brazilian area and my underarms. No tears! Got my first manzillian mainly for mountaineering. (Who wants to wonder if there are pieces of toilet paper stuck somewhere in your crack when you are out mountaineering without access to showers for many days/weeks and in cold weather where your want your pants down for as short of time as possible?) I suppose there are many other reasons for a manzillian but let's keep this G rated. Nitrous oxide basically made me feel intoxicated and couldn't care less about the waxing procedure. Why would you want to get waxing done any other way then with tear free waxing from Bald? Is there such thing as recreational waxing? Great job Bald! read more
