Loooooove this place! The drinks are so so good! What a unique menu they have put together! Beautiful interior decorating which I failed to snap a pic of. And a nice little patio in the back to sit outside - we had the most lovely night sitting out on the patio sipping on the most delicious drinks I've had in a long time! The service was great, they are super friendly. Can't wait to come back here! Get the Strawberry Rhubarb Refresher

I adore the wine selection here. The bartenders are always wonderful. I love to sit at the bar or in the cute outdoor area.

Stopped in to try the most recent chef pop ups. Both I attended were incredible! Chef Darian and Chef Yurt's food was spot on. The pasta came out so quick and had the perfect amount of spice! I had mine with shrimp. We were glad we got there early because it was packed! Chef Yurr's chicken sandwich was HUGE; large pieces of chicken hanging off both sides of the roll. I had the Yurr sauce and it had a bit of a kick which I loved. It was served with potato chips which I thought were a bit too salty. We also tried the chorizo Mac and cheese. I loved it, my fiancee is not a huge chorizo fan, but he also enjoyed it. I hope they keep these pop ups happening!

Small menu but great drinks and atmosphere. Good for large or small groups and nicely decorated for the holidays. We stayed on the beer train that night and didn't get to experience their wine but I will definitely be back to try some of the wine offered! The beer list was limited but would apply to any beer drinker whether they like hoppy or light beer.

Had a bridal shower here today and everything was great. Food was delicious and the service was on point. Emily was very pleasant and easy to work with. I would highly recommend having any function here.

My friend and I enjoying a beer and gummy bears sitting by the fire in the back patio sitting on the cool ski lounge chairs!

Great place to go and relax after a long week of work with one of my friends. We tried a new fruity beer and a side of gummy bears (fun treat) while we sat outside next to a fire. Had lots of laughs and would definitely go back to try more variety of beers or wines.

This is not easy to find. Great spot. Cool atmosphere and vibe. The bartender completely BLEW IT major league. My girlfriend got a cider, I ordered a nitro cold brew, and he said it's a coffee. Ohhhhh, um, I guess I'll have same as well. I wanted a beer. She ordered chips and onion dip. They were really tasty and way too Greasy. We didn't even eat them. She was checking out their Instagram page, and told me they had a beer cooler. We saw it on our way out. What a elementary mistake, by the bartender. This place needs to EDUCATE it's staff. Buffalo is a blue collar town, people drink beer at. A wine bar, and just snacks is a formula for certain death. Their chances are shit as they are now. It definitely has potential but I can't see how they're going to survive without adaptation. ADAPTATION and this could be really great

Beignets !!! This place is such a cute wine and beer bar with excellent food, too!!!

We absolutely loved our first experience at Alchemy last night. After searching for a spot for dinner, we found Alchemy and decided to give it a try. I was nervous about trying to go out on a Friday night without reservations, but when I called, the gal said they had plenty of room, so we headed over. We ordered a glass of wine, a beer, some fingerling potatoes, pasta, and beignets. (For those wondering - About $100 total, including tip.) Everything was out of this world. The sauce that came on the delicately decorated potatoes was so interesting - creamy/sour/floral. The pasta noodles were so delicious - and the peas/pine nuts/grated cheese made it such a simple, fresh dish. And I had been craving beignets! These did not disappoint!! These little heavenly pillows of love paired nicely with the raspberry sauce they came with. Unfortunately, as vegans, we needed to cheat a little bit, but it was completely worth it for a night out to celebrate a new job offer. We can't wait to go back.

I think I have found my new favorite wine. I ordered the Pinot Nero and it was the perfect red wine for a summer night. It was light but not sweet, I am obsessed! I also Love the environment here. It's open and welcoming and they have a great patio with a fireplace for cooler evenings. Would definitely recommend to come here for a drink or to host a party. I have not eaten off the food menu but everything looks delicious and I can't wait to come back to try!

So I'm always excited to try a wine bar as we don't have an abundance of good spots in the South Towns. Alchemy has a good location and it's super cute with a good outdoor patio. I love that they also offer music and other events on occasion. We went for brunch which is limited to a couple days and had the avocado toast with egg and chicken with waffle with apple slaw. The avocado toast was pretty to look at and enjoyable. I'm a picky eater and would have preferred the egg to be warm, not cold. ‍ unfortunately, the waffle was underwhelming - a bit soggy, the chicken was dry and bland, and the apple slaw lacked the acidity necessary to balance the dish, but the service was warm and pleasant so maybe it was an off day? Now to the mimosa. This is a wine bar and I wasn't expecting it to be more like orange juice. Would be nice if the Orange juice was served with a separate small bottle of Prosecco so we can mix to our own liking. Otherwise it was a lovely experience and I'd love to return for cocktails & music.

Today was their soft opening for Burgerfest and they'll have a grand opening in August. My husband and I met the owner and she's very nice and personable. We joined their Stem Club for $150/person, which gets us our own numbered wine glass on display, discounted glasses of wine, and 20% off our first bottle each visit. The atmosphere seems pretty cool, with a wide open bar area and outdoor patio. We're excited to support a new local business with local owners!

I tried out this new place in the heart of Hamburg for restaurant week with a group of friends and overall it was a pleasant experience. You can tell they only use the finest ingredients (the majority of the food menu is small plates or desserts) . My restaurant week offer was 2 glasses of wine (usually $8 a glass) and a charcuterie tray for $30.18. Another lady in the group got the deal with those 2 glasses of wine and two small plates (a grilled cheese with a side of soup for dipping and strawberry Brie baguette were her choices). The only thing I was disappointed in was that it was more of a counter service /grab your drink at the bar and they would bus your food to the table , I was expecting to be waited on by a server for that level of cuisine/beverage choices.

As I don't consume cheese, the wine connoisseur took it upon himself to find an appropriate non-dairy match for me, and did a phenomenal job with it. From the grilled portabella mushroom caponata with a Canadian Pinot Noir, to the sweet maple syrup drizzled figs with a little lemon with a local blackberry wine, or the channa masala to compliment the sweet Californian Riesling, every bite and sip was a harmonious marriage. ‍‍ The service was phenomenal and that alone makes visiting this winery worth it, a long with the educational value offered. The staff is very knowledgeable on different wines and also has that skill of disseminating the information effectively to better educate its customers. Even though we have visited a few wineries and vineyards in the US and abroad, I would take this one to be in my top 3 experiences. The tasting room is also clean and well set up. I would highly recommend visiting Ten Thousand Vines if you are from the area or visiting to try some of the phenomenal wines from WNY.

We eventually found it. Upon arrival, the door swung open and struck a seated guest -- a sign of just how small the space is. The restaurant was full except for one four-top (clearly ours), and we stood awkwardly in the entrance -- which is essentially inside the dining room -- waiting to be acknowledged. When greeted, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said yes. "Table for eight?" we were asked, which felt impossible given the size of the room. We clarified four, and were pointed to the only open table. No name was requested; we realistically could have just walked in and taken it. The space is starkly lit with aggressive bright white lighting that feels more clinical than cozy. The artwork is interesting and gives a gallery-like feel -- it seems the restaurant is aiming for a downtown Toronto wine bar aesthetic, but it doesn't quite land. Our table was missing water glasses, and the stemware was mismatched -- not in an intentional, charming way, but more in a "we ran out" way. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged or offered water for nearly 20 minutes. Not rushing guests is one thing; leaving them feeling forgotten is another. When our server finally arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. One glass of water was poured before he realized another was missing. He disappeared, returned with a glass, inspected it mid-pour, then walked away again (dirty glass). After several more trips and long gaps, everyone eventually received water -- about 15 minutes later. He was polite and friendly, just clearly untrained. He shared that the owner is also the sommelier, cook, and server, and that he liked working there because he wasn't expected to know much about wine -- an interesting admission for a wine bar. The owner greeted us warmly but asked only one guest about wine preferences -- ironically the only non-wine drinker at the table. The concept appeared to be sommelier-led, though this was never explained. If that is the intention, engaging the entire table is essential. That said, the wines themselves were enjoyable; the service surrounding them was not. The Taste of Oakville menu promised three curated 3-oz pours paired with a charcuterie board for two. The pours arrived unevenly and slowly, with little explanation of the pairings. The charcuterie boards were plain and inconsistent between tables despite containing similar items -- basic fruit, crostini, simple cured meats, small portions of brie, and two slices of truffle cheese. No crackers, spreads, or thoughtful touches elevated the experience, and presentation varied noticeably. Our second wine pour didn't arrive until our mains, and service moved so slowly we requested a wine list to order a bottle. We were told there is no wine list -- "we're not that kind of restaurant." Instead, all reds are $80 and all whites $70, and the owner selects the bottle for you after asking only red or white. The concept might work if explained upfront; without context, it was confusing. At one point, noticing my empty glass, our server poured me a random red -- which turned out to be the same wine as our first pour -- and then left without serving anyone else. We had to remind staff we were still waiting for our second curated pour. Nothing about the experience felt curated. The most surprising moment of the night came when our mains arrived. As we lifted our appetizer plates -- still holding olive pits, fruit rinds, and crumbs -- the servers told us not to worry about clearing them and proceeded to place our main dishes directly on top of the used plates. I'm still shocked. I wouldn't do that at home, let alone expect it at a Lakeshore, or quite frankly, any restaurant. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle, which was tasty but contained only two small pieces of short rib -- and was difficult to enjoy while staring at discarded rinds beneath the plate. The other two ordered brisket sliders: two sliders, no sides. They tasted good but left diners hungry. One guest joked they kept thinking the fruit rinds were fries -- unfortunately accurate. We tried to make the best of the evening, but it never delivered the cozy wine-and-charcuterie experience we had anticipated -- dim lighting, thoughtful pairings, something special. After finishing our meal, we requested our bills and reminded staff we were still waiting for the third curated pour. We were told "five minutes." Those five minutes never came. Eventually, wanting simply to leave, we paid a single combined bill and sorted it out ourselves. Dinner for four totaled $460. This was not the boutique Lakeshore dining experience we expected, and ultimately, it was deeply disappointing.
