Without the phone battery, I was able to recall…read morethe approximate location and walked and walked and asked the young lady walking by for directions. Like a good old way. Thanks for your help and also suggestion "Don't drink too much beer!". It is definitely a tourist stop over but glad I did it and you should too. If you are coming from the side entrance, walk thru one of the double door with yellow sign. Also street sign above. Go down the huge stairs and you can hear and smell the fun. Make a left and at the end is where you pay for the beer, grab the stein, rinse and get it filled. All done within 30 feet radius. You can retrace back and grab all the meats and such. Cash only! Outdoor area is huge. Tree leaves started to come out Mid April. Interior beer halls with plenty of seats. 100's people drinking pints and pints of beer. Men's room, designed to take care of all this. Beer was ok, food was ok, experience was ok. Did meet one of the workers offered to take photos. Nicer one at it! All spoke good English so communication was good.

Augustiner Bräu - The back stairway leading into the food hall. This was an accidental find of a back entrance and exit that worked better for us.

The schnitzel was almost perfect, the chicken was well cooked, and we had a great salad as well. The bottle of local wine was also excellent. Our server was fast and efficient if a little thin on interaction. He was also very busy, so that's likely a part of it. The interior is nice, although we only saw a bit of it. The beer is brewed onsite, I'd love to see that, but alas, no. Five stars is what it deserved as everything was really really good!

We ordered a couple of appetizers to share. One that stood out was their trio dip and I particularly liked the pork belly crackling dip that was served with sourdough bread. It definitely is not the most healthy as it was greasy, but super flavorful with great texture from the cracklings. Another one I enjoyed was their Regensburger Wurstsalat. The sausages were thinly sliced paired with a crispy, tangy vinaigrette which was refreshing especially in a hot summer day. The scallions and red onions added another level of flavor and texture. For main, I ordered their braised pork belly and was pleasantly surprised. Th meat was tender, skin was still crispy and the sauce was hearty yet not too salty. My kids tried their schnitzel and they enjoyed it. However, my husband ordered one of their beef dish and I was told it was dry and salty. I honestly would recommended to just stick with pork when in Germany/Austria and stay away from beef because ever beef dishes we've tried were not good. Overall, this is your typical Biergarten with plenty of outdoor seating and tv's available to watch any sports. Our servers were all very friendly and relatively quick Austrian standard. The only thing is some tv's streamed ahead of others so the people who's watching the slower tv were a little upset as they would've heard the reaction of others before they can see the actions.

The noise was awful as we were only a couple of feet apart. The other two tables of two next to us also were grimacing. In rooms this small I wonoder why not just make it all communal family style dining as couples have a miserable time. In the other room there was a party of twelve and then a few other smaller tables. Our food arrived in 5 minutes from ordering, so obviously out of pre-cooked batches. Pablo had the asparagus ravioli, a massive portion. I had pork, again a large portion. You will never starve in Austria! Food was A-OK. We ate and ran.

I've ate here during the Mercedes G-Class tour of Austria and I find the restaurant "employees & most locals" are so rude against anybody who are not Austrians or Germans. Especially if you are an American! Oddly they are not friendly to American visitors dining at their local hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Even the waiter asked me if I had money to pay for my dinner which was about $17 euros. Are you kidding me? They're lucky I didn't sued them. I'll just let it go in this review. I'll give a two star rating since I liked their food and it was delicious. The meal I ordered was prepared with perfection. I just don't appreciate the bad attitude and the poor judgments they have when Non-Austrians/Germans are visiting this place.
