7-21-2025 So they finally stayed open to the posted time. We got there at 2:30 and it was obvious that the young girl standing behind the counter eating would rather be ANYWHERE but there. 2 of us ordered a shaken DOUBLE espresso. To say that the beverage tasted ANYTHING like espresso or even cheap ass Speedway coffee would be an insult to coffee. What we got was a watered down or milked-down version of what I guess THEY call coffee. It would tasted more like coffee if you'd have taken my cup and set it next to a steaming cup of real coffee, or maybe even flavored it by dropping a single coffee bean in it. To put into perspective, a kids school lunch white milk has more coffee in it than what Alcona Coffee puts in your drink. Maybe it was the worker's disinterest in being there, more likely it's just shitty excuse for "coffee" that they offer. TL/DR: Get your coffee ANYWHERE else, preferably the gas station. read more

Stopped here to use wifi while camping at Harrisville SP. The "Lumberjack" roast was very good; the banana muffin not so much, deficient in both banana and spice, and a little doughy. But the wifi was fine and the coffee was satisfactory. The breakfast sandwiches I saw some people order the second tie I stopped in looked and smelled wonderful--maybe that's the ticket for food if I come here again. read more

The coffee was not our favorite. My iced latte tasted very watered down, there was barely any ice and the flavors were not very prominent including barely any taste of coffee?? My husband got a hot pumpkin latte with some other flavor and it tasted like turkey gravy???? I am only giving it three stars because the breakfast croissant sandwich was very tasty!! Mini Vacation at Harrisville St Park. We decide to take the 1/4 mile stroll into the little village of Harrisville. This coffee shop has been around for awhile and it's very clean and cozy with seating inside or out and an attached ice cream shop for the littles or bigs! This little spot is definitely worth a stop when in the area. The menu hits all the favorites and also offers breakfast sandwiches as well. Drop in if you have a moment and enjoy! read more

My picky son was here to visit from Seattle and loved all the coffee and we had to go every morning for him to get some. If you want a place with a home town feel and place to just sit relax. I've been to lots and lots of coffee shops because it's something I do for fun! And this was the worst. First of all, the workers are extremely rude. I couldn't even believe it. Then a friend of one of the workers was sitting at a table, and even joined in on the rude comments. Now for the water, I mean, coffee. I'm pretty sure they forgot to use beans? I ordered an ice coffee, which is on their menu, but they clearly don't know how to make ice coffee. They simply took hot coffee and poured it over ice. So as you can imagine, it was pretty much just water. I understand not all coffee shops can make iced coffee, which is fine, but then don't have it on the menu. I've also never experienced being asked how many espresso shots I wanted in my coffee? That was bizarre. My sister was asked the same thing when she ordered her iced latte, along with if she needed room for cream. Room for cream? In a latte? What????? I feel so sad that all these people frequenting this coffee shop are suffering from such bad coffee and rude people. You don't know what you're missing out there !!! read more

For a coffee shop the coffee is absolutely terrible it was terrible before the new owner took over and I was hopeful that something would change as the old grumpy man who worked there and owned the property before was terrible and the coffee was horrendous. But we traded in an old grumpy man for a slightly younger rude woman. I've come in a handful of times as it's convenient and the only coffee place in town to my knowledge but every time I've been in there the owner is either so rude to her other staff or busy gossiping about other store owners in town. Simply by overhearing her conversation one Saturday I learned all about their distaste for the Alcona brew haus owner. everything is extremely inconsistent I would order the same sandwich and it would be different almost every time. One time I was served raw bacon and chopped the entire sandwich in the garbage can within seconds of walking out the door. The wandering winds items are kept frozen and reheated which makes them nearly inedible. We had to return a chocolate croissant two times because it was still frozen on one side and the owner told me it wasn't frozen even though I saw her take it out of the freezer. She seems very overwhelmed as a store owner and very inexperienced. Her efforts should be kept back at the red fork. And that's all I have to say about that. read more

Warning - CASH ONLY Nice little shop. They offer a large variety of drinks, though I'm increasingly unhappy about a 50 cent upcharge for dairy alternatives. The vanilla latte with almond milk was flavorful and not overly hot. They also offer bagged coffee, both ground and whole bean. We got the whole bean Sturgeon Point Roast to try when we're back home. At $10.75, the price is very competitive or better than most roasters. The shop has some other knick knack, tourist things for sale too. Admittedly, I came mostly for the WiFi, which is free for patrons. The quality drinks and cool were a bonus. read more

In fact, my good friend here loved it so much that he purchased the first espresso beans for his new Moka from Alcona Coffee Company's high quality collection. Things seem incredibly inconsistent here. Every time we come up our regular drinks are different prices. The coffee is ok, but not worth the price. The staff seems hit or miss. Some are downright rude. The expensive wine boxes collecting dust in the corners seem really out of place. They don't even sell wine. The ice cream side of the business is even worse. Being badgered by the guy who works there and watch him eating spoonfuls of ice cream directly out of the container before he put it in the freezer was gross. The lady ahead of us ordered a shake and he complained about having to make it. He mocked my sister's fiancée for ordering a single and not a larger size. Our family goes camping at the state park in this town, so we come here every day. The ice cream here is to die for here, if you come here the ice cream is the thing to try. The coffee is average, there is only one kind. It's not like you get to choose what kind you would like. The five stars is pretty much for just how good the ice cream is, though. read more
