I've been to both the medical and cosmetic side of SSSC. Medical: great. Cosmetic: poor customer…read moreservice and overall a poor experience for no results. I would not recommend doing business on that side. Medical: Dr. Saad and the team I saw for acne (for 10 years?) are great, great service and results, no complaints, deserving 4-5 stars. Dr. Saad recommended I look into laser resurfacing for acne scarring, so naturally I walked next door - to a markedly different experience deserving 1 star. Cosmetic: I spent $1800 in 2017 (a major espense at the time) on a series of three Fraxel laser treatments. Dr. Butler was friendly, I am not sure I saw results from the treatment but I knew that was a risk. However, I only wound up receiving 2 of the 3 services, I was late for service 2 and it was rescheduled, then the Dr.'s medical event meant I had to reschedule service 3 to after the summer, due to the nature of this treatment. I was fine with the medical event requiring a reschedule but I never completed the 3rd treatment (that I paid for) and I gave up trying to get their attention. The front desk staff were never great, and I emailed twice and left multiple voicemails but have not received a follow-up on these concerns. I moved to NH that fall and am no longer in the area during business hours to stop by in-person and it is to strange that I have never heard communication about this.

I had a 2nd biopsy taken for a skin rash on March 11, 2025. I went in to get the stitches removed…read moreMarch 21, 2025. This fell inline with the 10-day, global period to have stitches removed at no cost for the visit. I was charged for an office visit though and was told it was because a prescription was written. The prescription was a doctor's name written on the back of a piece of 'skin routine' note pad paper. The biopsy was a second one and there was no need to have it, since the first one revealed nothing about my skin rash. The person who saw me, Lisa, said we might as well do another biopsy. So South Shore Skin Center gave me a not-needed 2nd biopsy and charged me for that. Then charged me for a full office visit when stitches were removed, saying it was because a prescription was written. I cancelled my future appointments and have found a new dermatologist. The billing issue has been turned over to my company's healthcare navigation service for resolution.
