I had an eye lash lift with Kasey at the Canton shop. It was wonderful! My lashes are now able to be seen and have a nice curl to them. Kasey was attentive to my needs and informed me when she was doing something. This allowed me to know when she was approaching my face since my eyes were closed throughout the process. I have been coming to see Rose (the owner) for facials over the last few months. I had received a spafinder.com gift card and I figured I would give them a try! I am so glad I did! I have tough skin, (oily/dry/acne) so it can get pretty gnarly. Rose is not only amazing at her craft but incredibly kind, knowledgeable and patient. Each time I have seen her it's like I have a new face. She has no fear to go after the bad blocked pores on my face, cysts and acne. Without her, and the wonderful products she recommended, I would be finding myself in the dermatologist's office on either oral antibiotics or a third round of Acutane within the last 5 years. Leading up to my wedding in October she was able to make my skin look so wonderful to handle all the makeup for my big day. I have also had a spray tan here too, and it was nothing short of flawless. My very pale skin was turned into a beautiful sun-kissed tan looking incredibly natural. This place is truly a gem and I'm so lucky that this is in my backyard in Canton! A side note to Yelp!, I was disappointed to see that so many 5 star reviews for this business marked as "not recommended". (reviewing for an experience in Feb/March 2013) I decided to get a groupon for 2 microdermabrasion treatments as a way to prep my skin for my wedding. The entrance was admittedly confusing and I walked in to multiple doors before I realized that I was supposed to walk around the building entirely. Anyhow, I was greeted warmly, and though I had 2 different estheticians each time, they were both very friendly. I was pleased with the interior and set-up - it certainly felt like I was coming to be pampered, which is something I'm always looking for with any personal/beauty service I indulge in. The treatment itself took time (which I also appreciate) and every step was explained to me. Microderm isn't exactly a walk in the park but it's bearable. One woman was more heavy-handed than the other and it's an awkward procedure to have every part of your face sucked and scrubbed, but the results were great. They used products to help soothe the skin and gave detailed instructions on how to treat your skin post-treatment. All the dead skin was removed and left me with baby smooth skin. I had no breakouts and my skin was ready for all-day makeup on my wedding day. You do walk away flushed and "tender" so I would recommend spacing it out if you're getting multiple treatments. If you are doing it for a special occasion, perhaps schedule your final one a week before. But I have no professional knowledge whatsoever so just listen to them. :) They definitely do try to pitch you additional services and products, but I understand it's a business and I can always kindly decline. read more

I scheduled an appt with the owner Rose based off of the reviews I read on here. I went in for an ultrasonic facial thinking that would solve my hormonal acne issues. I discussed my issues I had with my face and Rose suggested a customized facial instead. I was so satisfied with the results of my facial and my skin after. Alluna is the only place I go for my eyebrows which are very tough to shape the way I like them, she uses an overhead magnifying glass to make sure they are perfect since I have this odd scar in my eyebrow. I have also had a ginko biloba eye treatment to help get rid of the circles under my eyes that comes from the lack of sleep that goes along with having twins! Pros: The owner, Rose, worked hard to fit me into the schedule for a facial the next day. Plenty of parking and near the Canton Junction rail stop Cons: I was asked to not purchase the Groupon (which I've experienced before) and Rose said they would give me the Groupon price day of (which she did). However, I knew the Groupon said SIGNATURE FACIAL so when the esthetician Jillian tried to sell me an add on, I asked wasn't two already included per the website. She said "No, the Groupon facial is just the basic exfoliate and extract and you won't see much difference without the added enzyme or peel". So either the Groupon or website description is incorrect or the esthetician only gave me the classic facial. Though she was nice, she only minimally addressed my concerns. She recommended a line for acne, but Rose actually said its not the best in the summer. Jillian did some extractions, but I ended up having to finish myself when I got home. I also found found very obvious clay left near my lip, chin, and hair. All in all, it was a OK experience but Not worth a return. read more

I first tried Alluna with a groupon. The staff was very friendly and the premises were really clean and inviting. Rose, the owner goes above and beyond to accommodate for comfort and pricing. They have really great packages that you can get for facials which don't expire so you can use them for a couple of years if needed. I have referred at least 6 friends to Alluna and all of them were very happy with the service. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I am not a big fan of the 'Heat mask' and feel that it doesn't get to all the nooks and crannies. read more

I had a groupon so decided to try Alluna. My esthetician was very nice, although she was a little heavy-handed when performing her treatments. Her hands moved quickly and roughly. I am used to facials and hand treatments being quite soothing and relaxing, but this was just a little "high-strung" for me. Also, instead of steaming she used a plastic heat mask over an herbal composition. I didn't leave feeling as clean and hydrated as I do with steam. The other thing is that Alluna recently moved locations and there must have been recent construction....unfortunately they did not clean the floor afterwards and it was covered in dirt and dust. I've been a client of Rose's for over 10 years. She is by far the BEST in her field. She and her staff are warm and welcoming as well as skilled in their specialties. They offer a full spectrum of services and products without any sales pressure. The atmosphere at Alluna is a relaxing, warm environment- something you would expect at a high end Hollywood type spa. Every client is treated warmly and long term clients are like friends. Rose is the only one I trust for my waxing. She is a perfectionist (especially when it comes to eyebrows!) but never makes her client feel anything less than beautiful! I have never had an experience that was anything less than perfect. Once I made the mistake of having a bikini wax somewhere else...not a wise choice. But it did make me realize that the ONLY place ANYONE should go for a bikini wax is to see Rose at Alluna. Other places have harsh lighting, and cold, sterile rooms with paper over plastic covered chairs. You're expected to lay there all exposed while you get waxed. It's almost humiliating. But not so at Alluna. An experience there is far and above more comfortable and more relaxing. than anywhere else. No cold rooms with paper over a plastic coated chair- The treatment rooms at Alluna are spa rooms with comfortable treatment beds with sheets and blankets and robes to wear for modesty. Rose and her staff go out of their way to make each client feel comfortable. Soft lighting, music, tea and other details are what makes even a simple eyebrow or bikini wax there a cut above everyone else. AND, they are competitively priced! For the service you get, you would expect to be paying a lot more. But all the services at Alluna Skin care are reasonably priced. The difference is you get more service and a better experience. But even more importantly, Rose's dedication to her clients is also far above what you would expect. When my husband was returning from from his one year deployment in Iraq, Rose came in on her day off to personally see that I had all the treatments I needed and wanted to be ready for that special day! I've gone to this spa three times through a Groupon deal. My experience here with Rose was excellent. She was pleasant, capable, and extremely professional. She explained what she was doing, took appropriate time, and seemed to tailor the procedure to what she believed my skin particularly needed. I went to Rose twice and to one of her assistants once, who was also quite capable though she had a less practiced manner overall. I've gone to two other places for microdermabrasions and find Alluna to be the best of the three. Should Alluna have another Groupon deal, I will definitely return. Came on 2 separate occasions. I had a groupon for a facial and a Brazilian. They wouldn't let me book both for the same day which was very inconvenient. They said that was their policy with groupons (heads up) I have never had this issue with other places but oh well. The first time I came was wonderful, my facialist Nicole did an excellent job and I will definitely be coming back to see her. She was very knowledgeable and the experience was highly relaxing. My face was happy and glowing after. The second time however was awful. The lady, I forget her name, was nice and welcoming but the actual wax was no good. She did not hold the skin taut and it was very painful! There was a lot of spot bleeding and irritation to the area and many of the hairs ripped instead of being fully pulled out. The wax was not very thorough either. I had lots of strays left behind. A day later I broke out allover the waxed area! And now less than 3 weeks later it looks like I need a wax again. Sigh. So hard to find a good Brazilian these days. But this was unexpected after the first visit. I will not be coming back for a wax. I took one star off for that and one for the groupon issue. After my first review, I decided to try Allunda Skin Care again. I had a massage with Maria and Deluxe Facial with Rose. The place is much larger than expected and was very clean and relaxing. They had tea, snacks available. The entire experience was very relaxing. Marie did an awesome job with the massage. After stressful week at work it was very needed. The facial was one of the best that I had. Rose also used the mask. I thought the mask was as effective as the steam, but I there is something about having the steam hitting your face that I personal enjoy more. Based on the other reviews on yelp, I made an appointment here. I wish I had saved my money. My facialist kept leaving the room, and the walls are not very soundproof so I could hear her chatting away when she did leave. When she came back she kept talking again. I wouldn't have minded the conversation if it were about the products and procedures she was using on my face. She did not explain what anything was, or what it was going to do to my skin. I asked questions as to what the products were and she claimed she would show them to me after the facial (which she never did). Since it was my first time there, I filled out an informational card. It was apparent she did not even read the card because she asked me all of the same questions throughout the facial. As for the extractions, I wouldn't even say that she performed extractions. It felt to me as though she was running behind, so she rubbed what smelled like rubbing alcohol on my face, then proceeded to tell me that she wouldn't be able to do all of the extractions today and that if I came back again, she would get them all. Now I do not have bad skin to begin with, but I do get occasional clogged pores around my nose, chin (the usual places). Also, the signature facial is supposed to come with a face, neck, and shoulder massage. This "massage" lasted about two minutes. Maybe my expectations were higher than they should have been, or maybe the esthetician shouldn't have left the room as many times as she did. I received no recommendations and was very disappointed. Although I do appreciate the owner reaching out and offering to correct the issues, I still don't think I will be returning. read more

She takes wonderful care of my skin and always provides a relaxing and enjoyable experience. She always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable and having a great experience. The little extras she does sets her apart from other places I've gone previously. I've been going to see her monthly for about a year and my skin always looks and feels great. She is great at her job and always punctual. She is always informative and not pushy when it comes to selling products or services. I just got the signature facial with enzyme peel and it was great. This was my first time at Alluna and I will be back. Cristina was very attentive and asked on more than one occasion if I was comfortable. She did a great job on my skin and offered advise on how I could keep up the results at home. It was also nice that I didn't feel pressured to buy additional products or services. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that when I first walked in the woman at the front desk looked at me, said hi then continued her conversation with someone else she was speaking to. Then I had to stand there awkwardly until I was asked if I needed help, when I told her I had an appointment she looked surprised then immediately apologized and gave me a form to fill out. To walk into an establishment where I intend to spend money and to be dismissed that like is a little off putting. Other than that I had a very pleasant experience and will be back. read more
