Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

Shawn was easy to reach, responsive, and great to work with throughout the project. The crew showed up on time, kept things clean, and finished everything in under 5 weeks. We did new tile, vanity, lighting, and a walk-in shower, and the quality really shows. Hard to find a contractor this consistent and reliable. Pricing felt fair too, especially for the level of work. I initially tried to hire Home Depot to organize the repairs, but their agreements with builders prohibit HD builders from preparing the floors and cabinetry before finishes. It was a long series of disappointments over company policies. Miron was able to prepare the floors and cabinetry and match prices on HD finishes. Him and Carlos designed custom cabinetry, which improved storage, at no additional cost compared to HD. Miron referred me to DTLA floor and quartz dealers who had larger selection and good prices.

Their pricing was comparable to others, but the ability to visit their in-progress projects gave me confidence. I'm very very particular, and while no remodel is perfect, Creative worked to bring my vision to life. My advice: plan everything in detail beforehand--or hire a designer. To save costs, I handled all the design myself while working full-time, which was highly stressful. Having everything mapped out helps avoid delays, last-minute changes, or compromising on your vision. Golan and Jordan were fantastic--Golan handled planning and communication, and Jordan ensured everything stayed on track. They always responded to my texts in a reasonable amount of time. Their tile crew was exceptional (I often bumped into them because they worked long hours and weekends to complete my home and were really nice and respectful people), and they tiled nearly my entire house beautifully (we're talking 2000 sq ft of flooring, 3 bathrooms, and a fireplace). I appreciated that Creative didn't nickel and dime me for small changes, and when a gas leak was discovered (due to careless cabinetry work), they fixed it--and more (we found more leaks during the repairs)--without extra charges. Despite delays beyond their control, they completed the full renovation in about six months--from pulling permits to final inspection. Major work included a new kitchen, three bathrooms, tile flooring throughout, interior paint, a new electrical panel, and whole-house LED recessed lighting. Even after the job was done, they returned to fix small issues without hesitation. That kind of follow-up is rare in a world full of disappearing contractors. I would recommend Creative for any remodeling project, big or small.

(Not BB, but yall remember that place.) As the daughter of a professional tradesman, I know more than average about what I'm looking for in hardware. And Rudy was also helpful with a smile and without any of the attitude about helping a lady look for a special piece of hardware. I was a little sad when that old lumber yard place closed, mostly because Rudy. Now, I'd also go over to Bourget bros for garden rocks and the occasional drill bit. And yall could not imagine how delighted I was that BB had the wisdom to hire Rudy! I think higher of the whole establishment in general because of it. Our fella Rudy is working in the paint department and two weeks ago he helped me make some duplicate keys I needed. He's still being awesome. If you need paint or key or anything in Rudy's department, do yourself a favor and see this gem of a human. I snapped a lil pic to show my husband that Rudy is helping me. (I hope that cool with R.) I just think he's a hardworking, nice fella and I'm happy he's still working nearby. In my mind he's part of all the little things I like about living in SM. Update: These people will destroy your house if you let them in. See pic of Inspector's correction notice on the work done by Aldan Construction, dba Daya Construction, license# 1030243. Notes below: 1. UF plumbing - multiple code violations. 2. Multiple electrical violations. 3. Neither shower pan have the required pan liners. 4. New plumbing compromised the stud wall construction / integrity, need to repipe and install new studs. More detail on above plus other items found: 1a. They had already poured concrete in the shower pans, but did not install a vapor barrier, meaning it would have started to rot out in a few years. 1b. Underneath the cement, they left the waste piping from the toilets uncapped - would have sent sewer stench into the house constantly. 1c. Illegal use of fittings - san-Ts installed on their sides. 1d. Neither showers were vented. 1e. Installed a short sweep 90 (used a vent fitting, not a waste fitting) under the vanity - this would have been a constant clog problem. 1f. All copper piping was strapped directly to galvanized strapping - would have disintegrated the copper piping via chemical reaction. 1g. Plumbing control rough installed at 20 degrees tilt, meaning the knob would have been crooked when finished. 1h. They installed new waste pipe such that it would have been visible below the floating, wall-mounted vanity, and they knew it was going to be a floating vanity. Also did not consider proper placement of valves behind vanity. 2a. When removing the door header, they clipped an electrical line resulting in live exposed wire, which they then stuck back in the stud to hide. We found this by accident: When we touched the wires, lights flickered. Basically, they would have burned the house down. 2b. All hot wires were left uncapped and just hanging out in the open. 3. They built the shower pans with 2x4, instead of 4x6 studs, left huge holes in the subfloor, covered it with plywood, and poured concrete with no vapor barrier (would have rot the floors). 4. They drilled substantial holes through 4 wall studs for the vanity venting compromising the integrity of the load-bearing wall. All plumbing and all new studs required with proper secondary support. Serious and significant damage was done to our house. Everything they put in needed to be pulled out and redone, including rebuilding and repairing the damage they did to existing structures. They (Aldan Construction) now claim that Gary no longer works for Daya and they told us they will be closing down the Daya division in San Jose. Given the multiple aliases he has, you will know if you have "Gary" due to his uncommonly low baritone voice. They also tried to get us to remove the reviews if they didn't send us the bill for the $10k they said we owed them. They let us know their "legal department" was ready to bury us in documents and it would take a long time unless we agreed to what they wanted. Note, they were unwilling to supply us with a simple bill in writing that detailed the names & license numbers of the subcontractors they used. It was all part of their continued intimidation and fear tactics these bullies use. It also calls into question who these people were that were on site. read more

We installed approximately 1,500 sq. ft. of pavers, and a 14'X14' Alumawood pergola. We're very happy with the way the whole job turned out. Simply put, Daniel (the "dan" in Aldan) did everything he said he would do. His paver crew, led by Chuy, was experienced, hard-working, and efficient - no wasted time or motion. They moved like clockwork through the demolition, putting down/ leveling/ compacting the base, pouring the footings for the pergola, installing drainage, and laying the pavers. The pergola crew (Frank and company) were great as well. It took them roughly a day plus a morning to build the patio cover. It turned out beautifully - exactly as we had discussed. We did experience some delay getting materials do to the Covid home-improvement boom - most notably with the Alumawood (a 3 to 4 week delay which I understand is even worse now in mid-September). The delay, of course, was beyond Daniel's control, and he kept us apprised throughout. In fact, he had, at the onset, provided us with the invoices when the materials were ordered, so we knew they were ordered in a timely way. Daniel was always accessible, and often picked up the phone to let us know what was up. We had a good experience with Aldan Construction, and I'm happy to recommend them. read more

Leo provided us a competitive quote to remodel our outdated swimming pool. We received quotes from other pool contractors who kept changing their estimates and making repeated call backs. My wife and I decided to go with Aldan Construction and Remodeling because their estimate was competitive and Leo made us feel comfortable with this upcoming project. Daniel our Project Manager was great and I'm glad we took his suggestions to replace the waterline tile and deck pavers. The different trades people that worked on our property were very professional and treated our property with respect. Al scheduled the inspections with the city and Daniel was there to meet the Inspector to make sure everything went smooth. They used a group text for communication to make sure there were no misunderstandings and that we were all on the same page. We had a couple of issues come up that I needed to address i.e. pool fencing and spa delivery but Daniel was great rearranging the trades schedule to accommodate work that I needed to complete. The Aldan team helped us to transform our backyard with an addition of a pool and landscaping. We decided to go with them because Leo and Niko seemed the most straightforward with their quote and it did not feel like prices would change over the course of the project despite the fact of materials increasing in cost. The work began when they said it would. Once we began, we had to make a design change thru no fault of Aldan. Together with Leo, we were able to plan out a design that we were happy with. Upon completion, we think it turned out even better than our original design. Over the course of the project, Daniel, Al, and Leo were there every step of the way. Any questions or concerns were just a phone call or text away. We were always aware of what was going on, what was being done at each point, who would be coming to do this part of the project, when the inspections were at each stage and also knowing what the inspections consisted of and why. Aldan Construction and specifically Dani were a dream to work with. My husband and I just purchased a larger home because we just found out that I'm pregnant with our second child and we need the space. The house is beautiful but it hasn't had upgrades in quite some time. One of my friends had just had Aldan work on their home and suggested that I reach out to them. My husband thought it was best to start off with having them work on our guest bathroom and see how things go before we contracted them for the rest of the projects we needed on our house. Highly recommend these guys. We did a complete pool renovation complete with a new spa and removal of an unused koi pond. Our home is mid-century so I expected the scope of work to be broad in order to meet the quality standards we expected and all current codes and standards. Beyond that, I wanted a professionally managed firm that would manage and lead all aspects of the project, so I wouldn't have to. Daniel, Leo, and Al exceeded our expectations. These guys are hands-on. Frequently on-site and very responsive to texts and calls. Their craftsmen know their jobs and were quite user-friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. This company is amazing. The two partners, Al and Daniel work together like a well oiled machine. I had a fairly large outdoor project to navigate when I lost 3/4 of my hillside due to the winter storms in 2024. I had to have a complete tear out and replacement of a driveway that was failing, due to the incompetence of the group that participated in flipping the house that we purchased. Unbeknownst to the crew that completed this install for Aldan I was viewing their work daily on my ring camera while I was out of town. I can't tell you I was not worried or that they were my first estimate.. I cannot tell you they came in the cheapest either.. If to be honest I cannot even tell you there weren't a few days when the guys did not show up a little later then they should've without even letting us know a day in advance.. What I can tell you however is, at the end of the day, when everything was all said and done, Eldan Construction came through like we couldn't even magine in our best sweetest dreams it would be possiable to make our backyard look the way these guys made it look. Aldan construction did a beautiful job on my Hardscape project I contacted Aldan construction from the Home Improvement guide, a little hesitant but after meeting Daniel, the project manager, he was very reassuring that they could complete the job in the manner of which I was wanting.
