Turns out our current Pool Guy was treating our pool as chlorine and it had a saltwater system (something I regularly questioned our normal Pool Guy but was routinely dismissed) Eddie and his guys came by a couple of times and completely reset our system. Saving us from having to buy a brand new pool heaters, which we had just bought two years ago. Our pool is now functioning perfectly and looks amazing, and is actually saltwater again. I used Eddie for a small jacuzzi deep clean a couple years ago, based on the reference of a neighbor. He quoted me $350 for the deep cleaning including filter replacement. I was new to spa ownership and he was personally referred to me, thus I accepted this as fair. He cleaned the spa but there were still things floating in it when he left. He also left a mess of water on my balcony and additionally, he had thrown his hose out on to my hillside when he drained it, which left a canyon that I needed to have my gardening service fill in. When he saw my spa had a filter he didn't recognize, his services suddenly changed to "filter cleaning" with no deduction in his rate. (I ultimately had to hunt down and find the right filter replacement myself.) Afterwards, I literally found myself asking "What did I just pay for???" What is prompting this review now is that of all the new services that I called to do this year's cleaning, not one of them has quoted me more that $125 for this exact same service. Incredibly nice guys and great service, especially this time of year (May) their busy season. Had 400 sq foot pool acid washed and was expecting to need a sanding job as well to smooth the surface of our 14 year old pool. BUT, after the acid wash Eddie showed us we didn't need to spend an additional amount of money as the acid wash made the surface smooth again! Wow... with all these great Yelp reviews I expected to meet a stand-up​ guy, but Eddie came in and started rattling off repair costs to the tune of nearly $,5000! $385 for new grids, $3,200 for a new heater, replace the cell for $1,300. It was all doom and gloom with a few scare tactics​ thrown in there - including speculation that my previous pool guy had been using cancer-causing products.
