I am an ALDI junkie. I have found that almost all of my weekly shopping can be done here, and they have fantastic prices. A lot of people have a hard time getting used to the way ALDI works; ALDI's model is based on German and European markets, where people tend to shop more often in smaller trips. So you aren't usually going to find produce that can be held over for lengthy amounts of time. That said, they are shopped enough that their produce is fresh and has a high turnover. Be sure to catch deals on seasonal produce, as they regularly have the best prices on watermelons in summer and pumpkins in fall. ALDI is great for trying new and "off-brand" products. They offer a wide range of specialty items including cheese and wine. I've found most to be better than average with much of it sourced in Europe. While they do offer name products, who doesn't love "generic" European wines and real milk chocolate at "chocolate flavored" prices? Be sure to bring a quarter in order to use a shopping cart. At checkout, you can purchase bags, use your own from home, or grab a box from a shelf or bin and recycle it later. read more

Be very careful when buying meat specials at Aldi. Yesterday their online ad had Boneless Chicken Thigs listed for $1.99 per pound. I grabbed a pack at the meat counter but it was marked at $2.99 so when I got to the check ouit I pointed that our to the register man. He picked up his pphone and checked with someone in the back that told him only certain packages were marked with that price. My wife took that package back to the meat counter and picked up a different package but it also was marked at $2.99. The register man said he would go back and find the rigt kind of package. He did so and came back with a differetn type of package that was marked at $1.99. I found him helpful but I believed this is a very sneaky way of doing business. If you advertise them at $1.99 than all packages with tohose contents that are on the counter should be at that price. read more

Much cheaper than Walmart. Their mayonnaise is comparable to hellman's. I love getting milk, eggs, cream cheese, cheese, salad dressings, croutons, ice cream and wine. They have a great selection of wines as well. Love coming here and saving money. read more

I LOVE Aldi! This grocery chain is known for its super low prices and shopping carts for rent! Our local Aldi is smaller than some I've been to, but still has a great selection. You won't find many well known product brands, most are Aldi owned brands. My favorite products to but here are milk, eggs, and wine. The prices for these can't be beat! I'm able to do almost all of my grocery shopping here, with an occasional trip to Publix for specialty items. You have to remember to take a quarter for the shopping cart and shopping bags, or you can use discarded product display boxes to put your items in. I would have given 4 stars, but I frequently see bad/rotting produce, so beware of that! read more

When I think of Aldi's, I think of fresh fruits and veggies at great prices, my favorite frozen tuna fillets, the complete line of gluten free products at Aldi's, and last, but not least, shopping bags and quarters! I carry a bag of several recycled shopping bags in the back of my car for use when I get to Aldi's. Although the bags are available for purchase, it's cheaper to BYOB (Bring your own bags!). The shopping carts unlock with a quarter and when returning the shopping cart at the end of your visit, out pops your quarter deposit. On my most recent visit to this location, the check-out clerk discovered my blackberries had fuzz on them. He called to the back and one of the other staff members brought fresh Blackberries to the check out for me, so I would be able to take home only the best. It was a sweet gesture, when we think about the level of engagement required to treat customers like family. It was much appreciated. The check-out clerk said he had too many customers that drove from Montgomery to this location and he didn't want me to have to drive back to return the blackberries. Very cool. read more

Aldi is the best! Needing a grocery store but not want to spend a fortune? Look no further! They have a huge organic fruit and veggie section. Prices make your wallet happy and so much more! Don't expect to come here looking for name brands because it isn't happening. But their selection is amazing for the price and some even better! I am a new fan of Aldis since coming to the south. They've got great options for low carb good and other yummy unique snacks that I would usually look for at Trader Joe's. Prices are great and the store is always clean and organized. They could use a few more employees to manage the registers. read more

My mother in law swears by Aldi. Now that we're going with more organics at home for my daughter I tried it out. The prices on organic grass fed beef and organic free range chicken are significantly cheaper than the "healthy" specialty grocery stores. The format is open case discount store. They have a very limited staff, you rent carts for a deposit and they do not have grocery bags for your purchases. Largely the brands aren't recognizable. There are some exceptions. Value is very good. Quality is yet to be determined, but I assume certified organic has a standard that must've been achieved in order to warrant the labeling. I'll go back for sure. Unfortunately the fresh vegetables didn't appear to be organic. Some meat and some frozen. It will not be a one stop shop for me; however meal prep with cheap organic meat will warrant future visits. read more

I have not stepped inside a store since March of 2020 (personal choice) so I purchase all my grocery orders for pickup. I placed an order through Instacart as required and showed up at my assigned time. The process was simple and its was only a matter of moments before 3 bags were placed into the back of my car and I was back in my way home. The problem is: part of the order was missing. It wasn't a head of lettuce, it was a $40 laptop stand. I try to be understanding and tolerate an occasional soft cucumber or wrong item in my bags because I know this is all still a work in progress. BUT - how does one miss something so big. To make matters worse - there is no one I can just call at the local store and ask if my item is sitting in a "staging area" and was just missed because there is no local number to be found. The drive back to the store is more than 20 minutes and I am not willing to walk in to resolve the matter. It's frustrating that I now have to deal with Instacart and/or my credit card company to get the money back - when what I really want is the laptop stand I ordered in the first place. read more

this place is crap. their prices advertised in the sale paper is not what it costs at the register. secondly their meat is horrible.. we bought ribs and when we got them home and opened it up they smelled awful. when you try to call customer service you get an automated message and it just hangs up. in order to get in contact with them you have to email them OR write them a letter. we will NOT be back. read more
