The address is also home to Natasha's commercial kitchen and cafe, B'More Made with Pride, which hosts other food businesses. We ended up getting lunch from one of the many businesses that operates out of the space - The Pop Up Presents. We got the Salmon BLT, Ultimate Grilled Cheese, and Fried Brussel Sprouts. What's even more so is when lines abruptly close as you walk up! There's never anyone restocking, so when meats and produce run out, that's it until the next day. (They really could learn from the Trader Joe's business model). However, I did witness something promising this evening... THREE cashiers on duty at the same time! The 5 minutes that we were waiting the security guard was also in front having a conversation with another couple not paying us any mind. Well I tell my boyfriend since we have time let's go see if they have gushers in the store because we forgot. We go back in and see that they do not have what we need so we then proceed to walk back out. Before we can walk out the security guard who was just having a conversation is now in our faces asking for proof that we purchased our food. Well we have bags that you have to pay for in our hands and the food that we have already paid for. I tell him we were looking for gushers but this store doesn't carry them. He then says well let me see your receipt I tell him hey I didn't ask for one I didn't think I needed it. Well he then says you cannot leave this store without proof of purchase but the first time we left he didn't say anything to us nor did he ask for a receipt from us or anyone that left the store before us. I tell him that I'm sorry but I paid for our groceries you would have to talk to the cashier because if I needed my receipt she would have told me that but since she didn't there must be some miscommunication on both of your parts and that is not my problem. (At this time our uber was 1 minute away). This security guard proceeds to still go back and forth with me claiming that we didn't pay and then finally asks the cashier who says we are good to leave. I am highly upset at this moment because this has now escalated into a scene and it has now become harassment. As me and the security guard are going back and forth because I told him his approach was disrespectful he tells me he is no one to argue with (as he is arguing with me). He then also says that I am a "kid" no I am not but he was clearly very much my fathers age so as a grown adult if I am a kid you shouldn't be trying to belittle me or think you can talk to me any kind of way especially because you've profiled me and my boyfriend and we proved him wrong. He also said he was just doing his job but this situation could have been cleared up faster if he would have just asked the cashier after I told him I didn't have a receipt but he felt like he needed to use his authority to have some kind of power over me The whole experience was embarrassing and I will not ever be coming back to shop here.

I stopped shopping at Mom's Organic Market, 34 South 11th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 in 2025 after shopping there since 2018. Racial profiling seemed to have started in 2020. The racial profiling is so blatant and beyond ridiculous. It is real and no other groups will tell us that it not. Deducted 2 stars because of the racial profiling.
