This is my go-to for groceries and any other treasure I can find there. The store is super clean, and the workers are all so friendly and helpful. You may not be able to find everything on your grocery list here but that is the nature of Aldi. If you haven't shopped at Aldi before, you have to understand that before you go. But I promise you, you will find a gem you didn't expect. And where else can you buy ladies underwear and avocados all in one place (yeah, I wear Aldi underwear, I said it, Ooh, La La) You will be so happy when you leave with a cart full of items that cost the same as 2 plastic bagfuls at Publix or the Teeter. Some things I have found here were beef short ribs, brisket and prime rib roast for so much less than traditional grocery stores. These kind of items are hit or miss when you find them so snap them up when you do see them as they may not be there next week. Make sure you bring a quarter for the shopping cart and your own bags (or buy them there) These are some of the ways they keep costs low and it's really not much of an inconvenience when you see how much you are saving. read more

Came to this Aldi recently to do some shopping and had an OK experience. The wares were pretty much as expected, which was kind of nice! The Aldi stores in NJ are remarkably similar to the Aldi stores in NC :) I would say this one was a little messier and smaller than the previous Aldi I went to, but it was acceptable. I guess the number of staff is quite small because the store had a sign at the cash register informing me that I should put my groceries on the conveyer belt and that someone would be with me shortly. Not a huge deal, but it made the checkout process a bit slower. Overall, I would come back here because the prices are great, but it's not the absolute best Aldi I've been to. read more

Aldi as a concept is great, but this particular location is a mess. The store is often filthy, with opened packages and tampered food items left on shelves. There seems to be little enforcement of basic hygiene and shopping etiquette, which makes the experience frustrating for customers who expect a clean, orderly store. Due to the surrounding community, the store is well on its way to resembling a street market in West Bengal, India. Customers consistently open packages (shoplifting) but the local police do nothing because they refuse to work. Meanwhile, you can bet you'll take home a fresh disease or two after your food has been handled by people who smell like they've never bathed. The staff also leaves much to be desired. Some employees are visibly unhappy and unapproachable, while others are outright rude, barking orders instead of offering customer service. A little professionalism would go a long way. On top of that, the store has frequent, unexplained closures due to power outages--despite no outages in the surrounding area. They don't bother updating customers online, so you might show up only to find locked doors. If Aldi wants to maintain its reputation, this location needs better management, stricter cleanliness policies, and more accountability. Until then, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

This is a really great location. They have everything you may need to cook a meal. Great prices. Some of the name brands are not you typical ones. But the prices for them are really good. They have a great price on eggs here. Remember to bring your on bag. Or buy one of their bags here. read more

I do love this new location in West Cary. I was here on opening day, which was jammed, of course, but the employees were well trained, excited to greet and help the customers, and they've kept up the great service ever since. I used to shop at the Durham store that's about equal distance from my house, but while the upgrade was happening there (which they kept the store open for except for the tail end of it) the demeanor of the employees changed. They used to be happy and helpful and now they seem stressed and don't want to assist. Many left and there's lots of new faces, some nice, others not so much. Even the condition of the store changed. It used to be well kept, but not anymore, but I digress...back to this location. Because of what I listed above at the Durham store I now patronize this Cary location instead and have had a great experience on every visit, no matter what time or day I've been there. Consistency not just in the products sold, but the employees is really important to customers, IMO, and this location has won me over hands down. read more

I was trying to buy groceries for my mother so I split the order. Well I swiped the card she told me it was and it didn't work so I had to call her but the cashier tried to force me to suspend my transaction and I was literally on the phone for 5 seconds with my own card out if it didn't work. Then the next lady that came was upset as if I took years and they began to make small talk over me having issues with the card. :). Originally, I gave them a three-star review for the small selection but over the years they've become my go-to for inexpensive grocery items. Sure, you never know 100% if they're going to have what you need (and seasonal items come and go), but their core, staple products in their Aldi brands are usually there. When COVID first hit, they were very good at sanitizing carts and keeping the capacity limited. Then over time I noticed customers were ignoring the arrow directions in the aisles. Now, other than the staff wearing masks, it looks like they are back to normal. Between Aldi, Sprouts, and the local farmers markets, I usually get what I need at prices I'm comfortable with. read more

This store is now officially open in West Cary. Bring your quarter and reusable bags. The store is brand new with a clean design and everything organized. The fruit and veggies are first and then some chilled drinks and prepared food to go. Aldi always has staples like milk, cheese, meats, and then frozen foods. All the seasonal items are in the aisles and since it is spring, they have rain boots, plants and Easter candy on display. I always find my go to items at Aldi and know the prices will not go up. Their beer and wine selection is great and you can find many gourmet products for reasonable prices. I even saw my favorite cashier Nathalia from the Durham Aldi and she is very kind. Came for the GRAND OPENING! So glad there is another Cary location! Love the updated look (as opposed to some other of the older locations! Plenty of parking! Carts have DOUBLE CHILD SEATS! As a mom of 3, I really appreciate this! 2 in the cart, 1 strapped to me... that's how I roll. Was crowded but I expected that being opening day. Actually, I usually get anxious anytime I visit an Aldi due to the crowds... expect clueless folks casually wandering around and then parking themselves DIRECTLY in front of the product you need. Can't beat the prices! Nabbed some butter for $1.99/lb, eggs $1.09/doz... these products do tend to change prices often while most remain quite consistent. All the employees were absolutely wonderful! From the ladies giving out samples, to the cashiers, to the managers! I'll be back! read more

The quarter for a cart thing is a bit annoying. Next time I'm rolling my cart across the border to Morrisville, just like that. I bet they are saving millions not needing to have staff walking across the parking lot collecting carts. Good cheese selection and you can find some nice European beers that you don't normally find in a US grocery store. The cashiers are like check out express ninjas swooshing your items through the scanner faster than a North Carolina wind. They don't have selfie checkout, but with speedy Gonzalez working the register I don't need that. read more

I had one of the worst experience yesterday!!! Cashier was very rude and unprofessional. He literally threw the cart I was using to a corner after paying him for the things I bought instead of leaving it alone. People like him shouldn't work there or anywhere. I felt fucking invincible. This place can do better with hiring people. read more

A weirdly european (for obvious reasons) shopping experience. Like Wal-Mart community store with even less employees on hand. These guys somehow make this work without pissing you off like a Walmart will. Some interesting finds and great prices but cannot replace a grocery store. You will absolutely not be able yo find everything you need here. The stuff you do find will be no name brand but good quality. They will have a few name branded items that are reasonably priced. Great prices on meat, eggs and milk. Oh and don't forget that pool hammock or power drill on the way out. Strange but it works. Side note: never ever seen more than 2 registers open at once. If there's a few cars in the lot, you WILL be waiting to check out. Bring your own bags. They don't provide any at all. Bring a quarter. They have an interesting idea of making you plug a quarter into a lock to release a grocery cart. The only way to get it back is to return the cart to the corral and lock it releasing your quarter. Awesome idea. I can't stand all the lazy ass people who can't be bothered and let their carts hit cars or drift off blocking parking. This particular location is just a bit larger than the other stores but carries the same stuff. read more

Two things really irk me with the new store in Cary. First, they do not receive all items in the flyer! I went to grab some rack of lamb today amd was told that their store did not and will not be receiving any this week. It was an advertised fresh meat special.... What's the deal? Also, I've Been trying to do more European style shopping, buying only what I need for the next few days, so tend to only use an insulated bag I bring versus a cart. In Durham, I've always placed things on the conveyor by weight, and the person checking me out would put the stuff in the bag, or allow me to. At this store, they've been told not to stop the conveyer and that they do not bag. What difference does it make it they put things in my bag or the cart sitting there? These are small orders going into one bag. really? I do like most of their produce and cheese, but many other products are seasonal or one time buys, so the store provides no consistency or ability to plan purchases. With all the food store competition, don't think they will do well if they do not have advertised items in stock and allow interpretation of policies to trump common sense. It's a shame as some stuff is really good and a good value. read more

I'm generally very pleased with this store but am disappointed that they don't seem to regularly carry the seafood specials advertised online. Today I went in for the sea bass advertised as being on sale starting today. There was none! The person at checkout said that was a special for next week, but I checked when I got home, and the sale was supposed to start today. A similar thing happened last week. read more
