I love my bougie cousin! More times than not the customer service is top tier. Also, a very solid selection of frozen items and produce. My second favorite grocery sub sandwich (welp!). Typically, has really good sales. I mention all that to say, I love Publix! I generally shop here 2-4 times a month. Publix really sets the bar high for grocery stores. The staff delivers 5 star concierge like service when shopping for your fridge and pantry. The staff greets you with manners, offers assistance finding items, carrying your bags and cart like a bell hop. There is a hot bar and some of the best fried chicken you'll ever have in your life. Why should I shop anywhere else? Not to mention the fact their sales are great with Buy One Get One Free Deals weekly as well as store brand items that are affordable. This location is one of the best. The staff goes above and beyond. I first experienced Publix in Florida. They have an amazing bakery, Deli and hot bar. Im from Florida so Publix is my jam. I have been going to Publix for my entire life. I love me some Publix. The thing with Publix is though, that they are NOT all alike. Depending on the area and the market, different stores will carry different products. Also...some Publixes are friendlier than others. The Good: Again...I'm from Florida...and this is by FAR the friendliest Publix I have ever been too. Staff are always greeting you and asking you if you need help. It's crazy. In Florida (at least in Broward county where I'm from) they staff will do their best to avoid you and God-forbid you ask one of them to stop breading raw chicken and scoop you out a couple potatoe wedges...anyway that's not a problem here. Everyone wants to help and everyone has a good attitude. That goes a pretty long way with me. The Bad: They seem to keep their products pretty well stocked, but it seems like their selection is "fair to moderate" at best. Although this could be a regional thin because I have notices this in some other local grocery stores as well. I can tell you this though, their produce is fine as long as its the same ol same ol (broccoli, potatoes, etc). Get a little more "eccentric" though and it usually is slim pickings. I have yet to find some nice firm kale there or some fresh carrots with the greens on top thats not a bag of carrots that looks like it was kicked down the aisle. The seafood selection also is definitely not the best. In fact, I almost always go to a local competitor chain for better prices and way better selection. However this place I am referring to has basically zero customer service. And a bar next to the meat section oddly enough... Summary: Anyway, this is your place for service and decent prices. Publix gets high marks from me for customer service. Employees seem more than employees in uniform, more like guides or helpers. Certainly not sullen or listless. They actively went to ensure you have a good experience. Even ask if you want them to take your groceries to the car. Old skool service. Now for the groceries. They have food demos. Nice. A lady was making chocolate peanut butter cookies. She was a tiny bit condescending but oh well. Everyone else bent over backwards to be helpful. Now I really loved the exotic fruits section. Fresh raspberries were , hold up...1.99. Whoah now! Some is their organic own brand items have ingredients that I would prefer to be absent. Alright. I'm a bit fan of Publix and really hope to have one closer to me one day. I was out in Raleigh doing some errands and had the choice to get some produce from either Food Lion or Publix..... Publix, d'oh! I always get so excited going into a Publix because they aren't as common and the inside of a Publix is so very aesthetically pleasing. I have never been in one that's run down or looks like it was converted from something else. Immediately as I entered I was greeted and all throughout my trip I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. It wasn't too excessive, I actually appreciated each interaction because the staff genuinely seemed to be warm hearted about it. There's something about how friendly everyone was. I appreciate how management picks out staff that fits this mold and ensures their workers aren't lazy or unmotivated, or couldn't be bothered, as I've encountered this in many other markets. I was impressed to find my organic needs here, though it would be nice to have even more options! The produce was on point, everything was perfectly packaged and there was also a sign that read that if you needed less of something that is shrink wrapped, you should let them know abs they can happily accommodate - thought that was cool! Their aisles were spot on clean and boy, it's just altogether an OCD persons dream to see everything so put together nicely. What I also love about Publix is that you're not forced to sign up for a card to get deals. Everyone gets every day deals on products, regardless. You can however sign up on the website to receive $5/$10 off coupons, which are extremely helpful if you frequent the store enough. I'm a huge fan! Here's the deal...I had just started to really get to know Publix prior to the plague of the 21st century. Then the entire planet was grounded. If I wanted to continue getting my food from Publix then I had to do curbside or have it delivered. Initially I was a little put off. They were only doing special hours for seniors not for people like me that have seriously compromised immunity. I have almost become Agoraphobic thanks to Covid. To say I am not welcome during hours that I would be safer just didn't seem like good customer care to me. Due to necessity though Publix has become a goto for me. They always have my milk and they always have some produce that seems difficult at times to find(mushrooms? Really?). While I have a long memory they are one of the few markets that don't have a service charge for curbside. It just takes forever. I guess its a small price to pay for safety. read more

Meat department - Publix meat department, butchers and meat quality are by far the best I have seen. I spend a lot of money on meats for my family and they are absolutely my go to store now. Last time I went for a Rib roast they were so good I bought 2! It seems like every time I go there the same gentlemen is at the case keeping check of everything. He always speaks to the customers and makes you feel welcome. Past experience at other stores in the area have been a disappointment especially if you ask for something. I buy probably 10 prime ribs a year and tenderloins. At a HT off Glenwood the guy was not happy and cut a huge tenderloin and left a huge mass of lard cap on a rib roast. This is my go-to Publix !!! The staff are always friendly and helpful. I usually end up holding conversations with the staff just based on their greetings. Their customer service literally reminds me of Chic-Fil-A. Everyone is well trained, very polite and helpful. To the point where even if I have 2 little bags they will offer to help me to my car, which I always decline because I'm capable. But the little things always matter. The store layout is typical for Publix stores. The subs are amazing. The only thing I think needs improvement is the hot bar, just because presentation is everything. And most times when I'm in the store, the food at the hot bar looks old and like it's just been sitting. Not very presentable. Otherwise, excellent location and great service! read more

Came here with my co worker during our lunch break and was standing at the Deli section waiting to get something from the hot bar. There were 2 men in front of me and my friend ordering and as we were waiting when these 2 white girls walked up to the hot bar and as soon as one of the 2 deli workers finished with the men in front of us they attended to the 2 girls looking at the hot bar not even in line first. We were so upset because we had been standing and waiting in line for a good minute and they got attended first before us. Seemed pretty racist to me because he didn't even ask to see who was next in line and he saw us waiting and when he was serving them he looked me in my eyes but didn't say anything. Out of the Tim Horton's k cups coffee and asked Marc, employee, who was working in the aisle. He assured me I could get a rain check for it. Then customer service told me they were not giving rain checks because of the hurricane. The hurricane was over a week ago, and any damage to this Raleigh store might have been one tree branch broken in the parking lot, if that. Manager was very unhelpful as well. Go to Harris Teeter across the street. They have no issues with giving out rain checks or with made up hurricane damage. read more

As soon as we found out Publix had open a store nearby we went for the one item we love, love, love it is: Tres Leches in the bakery section, if you have no idea what that is next time you want to impress your friends go buy one, it is about 7 dollars and it will feed 6 or more. I was not impressed by the wine section, I find a better selection at Harris and better prices too or Costco for that matter. Just to compare prices Biltmore at Publix about 13, at Biltmore States about 17 and at Sam's Club about 9 dollars, same wine.Also would be nice if wines were arranged by country like they do in South Florida with so many choices from Argentina. Here most seem to be from California and a few from South America scattered here and there. Prices are a bit higher than other stores but I will keep coming for Tres Leches 6.99 read more

Moving from Florida, I found it really funny when a Publix opened around the corner from our home and everyone was getting so excited! I love Publix for many reasons. It's clean, organized and the staff is usually really nice! My only complaint is that they NEED to expand their organic produce section! You'll be hard-pressed to find more than a couple organic apples and some greens. I would love to see more organic fruit options! This Publix is a magical place!! They have so many great products that I have searched all over for and not been able to find anywhere. I found so many gems on my visit there today. They have a smaller wine selection than some of the area stores but they have quite an impressive selection. Their produce department is huge and plentiful with some great finds such as precut veggies and cauliflower rice. Their deli was fully stocked with Boars Head meat and many cheese options. They even make sandwiches at the deli counter. Although the meats were pricey, they offered excellent cuts of meat and some interesting meats that you don't see elsewhere. They also have hot and cold food available to take home such as cooked pot roast, twice baked potatoes, or cold salads. You will not be disappointed by their selection. They have all of the things! The staff I interacted with were all incredibly nice!! Someone unloaded my cart into the belt and bagged my groceries for me. The cashier had a big smile and friendly conversation while she was ringing me up. I'm so happy this Publix opened so close to me. It will be my go to grocery store from now on! read more

Family wanted deli sandwiches for dinner. Waited an hour and a half for four overpriced sandwiches.

Arrived at the Leesville Publix store today around 1:00PM....crowded parking lot. Stepped into the store and noticed that a lot of the lights had gone out. Within a minute, all the lights in the store were out - everything was dark. There was a staff member at the front entrance but it was not immediately apparent what the problem was. Here's where I have to share my amazing experience! Within 1-2 mins., the front door staff were informed of the situation and explained that there was a power outage but the generators were being turned on. Everyone was calm. Within 5 minutes or less - there was a staff member at every aisle - with their cell phone lights on. They were very calm, courteous and helpful. They would reach out to each customer and ask if they needed anything. As well, noticed that all the frozen food aisles were blocked off (grocery carts) for safety. The check-out stations were still operational, as the generator kicked in and staff were at each location - helping customers check out. What an impressive performance by the management and staff! Safety, calm, polite & professional service and 'business as usual'. Give them an A+ ....I rarely have observed such a great team working in such a challenging atmosphere. KCD read more

Pretty standard Publix. The wine section is rather confusing; it's sorted by region and varietal at the same time so if you, say, want a pinot noir you'll have to check several areas. The deli case and other prepared foods area has great selections. Something for everyone. The staff are very friendly and although the store was packed, checkout was quick and the staff never lost their smilies. Parking. Ugh. It's a little weird to get into it from Strickland Road, and the traffic creates a pretty major jam along that area - I sat through three light cycles to get out. As more stores in this development open it'll just get worse. So, if you're a Publix fan, this store is exactly as expected... with a few negatives that other locations don't seem to have. read more

By far this is the creme de la creme. The Cadillac of grocery stores. You cannot walk down an aisle and not be asked if you're ok or in need of assistance. Yes I do need help!! All the time, why not. I feel like I'm in my dream kitchen pantry walking through Publix. And the hot foods, spicy wings while walking through the aisles is bomb. You can't go wrong. The Publix on Leesville Road is very clean has a wide variety of items. The staff in the pharmacy department are the best!! I have been receiving my parent's medication there since they opened. The pharmacist are extremely caring and when my father died, they showed such compassion that it brings tears to my eyes. My mother had a stroke and the pharmacists there have always made sure that my mom's medication is always ready. Most recently Lauren, helped me by taking additional time to look up mom's information regarding her diabetic sensor to help me. I am so very grateful to this wonderful Pharmacy Team!! read more

What an amazing change of pace for a grocery store, thank you Publix. Yes, they have milk, bread, eggs, etc. However, they have a culture of empowerment that allows every employee to be able to handle whatever situation occurs. And, I've had one associate unload my cart at checkout, another ring up my purchase (obviously), a third pack my groceries, walk me to my car and load them into it for me. All of them carrying on a conversation with me and each other. The associates stocking throughout the store are never to busy to say hello first, then ask if you are finding everything alright. I always feel as if I've just had a visit with friends when I leave Publix after my weekly shopping trip. read more

I have heard rave reviews of Publix and I have had good experiences in FL when I have gone to Publix stores. This one in Raleigh leaves a lot to be desired. The parking lot does not make sense and is difficult to get into/out of. The workers behind the deli (there were many) were hugely inefficient. There were only about 4 customers---with that many workers behind the counter (or more)--and only 1 person was being served/helped. It was a very strange experience. read more
