    Rotten limes

I am an instacart shopper in the area and coming to this store I notice the produce is rotten because they don't want to donate the products early enough before they go bad. One of the ladies working was kind of abrasive towards me at first when I asked about a product, then she left another worker alone to deal with a ridiculously long line and after like 10 minutes decided to come out and help a random customer then go back to her lane with her light left on the whole time. I've worked for Aldi before and I find this unprofessional and rude. She is way too confident about the lack of workers here.

Yeah, you need a quarter to get a cart, and you do bag everything yourself, but I'm perfectly fine with that.

But my favorite will always be the Aldi on Ridge. I know it in my sleep. This one is very open and spacious. Very organized and clean. Everything is categorized in sections. Don't sleep on their organic, produce and protein section. They are ridiculously reasonable in pricing and fresh. Also my fave is shopping "Aldi finds". They are weekly specials. The only negative is when it's gone, that's it. It's not on the shelf regularly. Whenever I am at work, people always ask me where I get a certain item and I always tell them Aldi. I give them a price, and they are shocked. I don't get why people are afraid to drop by. Is it paying .25 cents for cart and bringing your own bags? I am all for that. No plastic waste and there are no carts all over the parking lot. Plus you get your quarter back. Checkout is ALWAYS super quick. Now they have an express checkout where you ring it up yourself. I will always be an Aldi fan! They are that good and I save lots of money.

What I like about Aldi is that they have some pretty good organic and non-GMO products. Not a lot, but they definitely have the basics for what we need. For example there simply nature bread and tomato basil marinara sauce - if you read the ingredients label on the products - very simple and clean ingredients. Also very affordable compared to the bigger name brand stuff. I also like the fact that they added self checkout because then you're in and out if you don't have a lot of items - and you don't have to wait for the one open cashier.

There not 1 but 2 kitchen stores in it with most any tool you need to prepare your food! The cheese department is amazing! There was a little dark haired lady with glasses...didn't catch her name...but she is a cheese wizard! She found 2 obscure cheese for us on the shelves. There is a bar!! Yes a bar where you can get a beer or glass of wine! You can taste test wines before you buy! That is wonderful! And for you whiskey lover you can buy a shot of whiskey! The produce...fruits and veggies from all over the world! I actually found fresh prickly pears! Most everything is reasonably priced. If I lived near here I would need to build a large pantry onto my house! Lol...someone has a sense of humor for the restrooms! Thry were beautiful and clean inside! The cashiers were wonderful. From 5 to 1…read more.. Jungle Jim's East has introduced us to countless foods and products that we likely never would have discovered otherwise. For many years, our weekly routine was to stop at Sam's Club for staples, then head straight to Jungle Jim's. We'd grab a beer, leisurely wander the aisles, pick up the rest of our grocery list, and almost always leave with a few unexpected treasures. Unfortunately, over the past several months we've noticed a steady decline in the overall shopping experience. Prices have increased noticeably, the quality and consistency of the produce department no longer seem to be what they once were, and many everyday grocery items have disappeared from the shelves. These aren't obscure products, but rather common items that many shoppers regularly purchase. After asking about the changes, a checkout clerk confirmed that Jungle Jim's is intentionally shifting away from being a traditional grocery store and focusing more heavily on its international market offerings. While we understand and respect that business decision, it no longer aligns with the reason we originally shopped there. What made Jungle Jim's special for us was the combination of unique international products and the ability to complete most of our regular grocery shopping in the same trip. As that balance has changed, we've found ourselves making additional stops elsewhere to find basic items, often at better prices. As a result, we've decided to move most of our grocery shopping back to Kroger. We'll still visit Jungle Jim's occasionally for specialty and international products, but sadly it is no longer our primary grocery destination. We sincerely hope management reconsiders the direction of the store, because we'd love to return to the Jungle Jim's experience that made us loyal customers for so many years.

My preferred Kroger location. Not too busy and the employees are always nice…read more I too, have purchased cheese that had mold but they were very kind and made it easy to swap it out. The new large self-scans are great! Checking out was always easy because there wasn't long lines but this new addition made it even faster. I wish they had the kids carts here because there would be no need to go to Amelia but they do have one race car. The free balloons and fruit stand for kids is great! My kids love being able to pick their balloon and a banana or cutie, which keeps then occupied while I shop. Major plus. Cashiers always offer them stickers as well. The store and parking lot is always clean and the cart drop-off is always being emptied. They have a great selection of clearance items that I like to go through everytime I shop, can't beat a great deal. A few times there are boxes of cereal (example, last time it was a family size Apple Jacks) for .75! Love that. I have never had an issue with this location being out of an item, even the Free Friday items are always nicely stocked. The meat is always fresh and in good supply. They keep the older clearance meats away from the fresh (some locations don't).

I did clicklist one other time and it was a damn disaster. I swore to myself I would never ever do it again, but unfortunately it is the safest option anymore. I decided to give it one more try. Well, first time shame on them, second time shame on me for trying again. I arrived at my pickup time. This place is quite a maze. There were friendly employees outside that greet you, explain the procedure, and direct you as to where to go. Check in here is now done on the app as opposed to calling a phone number. I pulled into my spot and waited. While I was waiting I noticed a TON of employees standing around... which is fine... plenty of people waiting to keep things moving BUT no one was wearing masks and they were NOT 6ft away from eachother AT ALL. I started to feel quite queasy about the safety of shopping here! I waited about 10 mins and a cheerful lady approached my car... sadly not 6ft back from my window though. She handed me my receipt as another person loaded my trunk (again no one wearing masks). I asked what about the substitutions I didnt want or my coupons and she said I had already been checked out. My understanding was, checkout was done at car, coupons given, and substitutions could be declined. While she was nice she said she didnt know anything about that and told me to have a nice day. I was forced to pay/keep things I didnt want, couldn't use my coupons, and more than half of my items were out of stock. An $85 order turned into a $25 order half of which was subs I didnt want. Lesson learned, AGAIN. I will stick to Walmart or Target for drive up where the procedure is 300% better, things are in stock, and the employees are acting in a safer and cleaner manner. PS, I tried to contact Kroger about this with no response or option to make things right.

So this is for stars for awesome customer service, very friendly staff, a simple process, and the samples that I tried were good enough that I would be upset if my food turned out like that. This is a pretty common concept, and there's a chain of these around the areas , but this is the only one I've ever been to. You go in, everything is free portioned out and color-coded for you to just scoop as you go and make the meals ready to freeze, with some slight room for variation on your part. Don't like onions? Don't include, wanted a little spicier? Throw some ice Redpepper in there. You can't holistically change the proteins, but they did say they would work with you on vegetables and sides. For instance if you don't like green beans you could sub that dishes green beans for one of the other vegetables that week, and they are always willing to do that if you give them a heads up and for notice. This is important for me because I eat a very specific diet a lot of the time, and would not be willing to pay for food that I would meet. The prices are little higher than what I would like per serving, but with the introductory offer it works out to be a little over four dollars a serving. Without being a subscription, you can start and stop whenever you'd like, and buy food based on what you want to eat, this is a pretty good solution. Again I've yet to taste it yet, but I did try samples at the customer appreciation event back in June and thought it was a pretty good deal, will follow up whenever I actually thrown in the oven!

I LOVE Dream Dinners! It seriously changed my life! My husband and I both work insane amounts of…read morehours every week and just don't have time/energy to put thought into our meals so we were eating Macaroni and Cheese or hot dogs every night. Then we went home for Christmas in December and stayed with family who made us dinner every night and my 5 year old cried at every meal because it wasn't Mac and Cheese or hot dogs...so something had to change! Now that I have found Dream Dinners my husband and kids are excited to come home for dinner now and now my 5 year old is excited to try new foods. So here is how it works: 1 - Go to their website. You can make an appointment online - look on their site for the Introductory Offer. It's about $75 for 18 servings (6 meals - 3 servings each). 2 - Go to your appointment. Upon entering you will notice that the store is amazingly organized - and this is coming from someone who is obsessed with organization! You will have your own drawer with your name on it to put your personal belongings and this will also have the cards of the meals that you selected on your online order. 3 - Make your meals. There is a "station" for each meal with the recipe of how to make it. All of the ingredients are laid out for you so all you need to do is scoop them into a bag. You can customize the amounts of spices you want to use to fit your preferences. When you are done making your meals you can place your order for your next appointment, sample food for next month's menu, have a cup of coffee, all while the amazing staff packs up all of your meals and wheels them out to your car for you. 4 - Go home and make your meals. The direction cards are so easy to follow and most meals take very little time to prepare. That's it! So easy! Yes, it is a little more expensive than if you were to buy groceries and make it yourself but the time that it will save you is invaluable AND it is still MUCH less expensive than eating out every night or hiring a personal chef to cook for you! If you are like me and either don't like cooking or just don't have the time, it's worth it to check it out. It might just make your life a little better too!
