Atmosphere - Large garage, hot, empty, lots of peaches, back grocery area, evidence that this place is mainly supported by seasonal traffic. Service - Friendly and local. The first spot I went to (closer to i-85) was closing and with limited peach supply. The kind lady at this site called over to their other location to make sure the ladies there waited for me. Everyone was super nice. Food - I got 2 pecks of peaches (or 1/2 bushel), a jar of jam, and a huge cup of peach ice cream (which...btw was awesome) for about $29. This was a pretty good deal as the next day when I visited the Farmers Market in Davidson they were charging $9 for a 1/2 peck. Plus, the peaches from Lemmons were larger and better in appearance. Overall - I got some really tasty peaches that were used for some even better peach cobbler. This is my location for peaches...it should be yours too! We started at the smaller, but I didn't have enough cash to buy what I wanted, so they directed us across 85. The larger space is still somewhat open-garage feel. They have fresh peaches in a variety of sized containers (bushels/baskets/etc), ciders, jellies, jams, vinegars, the list go on and on. Then, you can go inside where they sell their homemade peach ice cream alongside Hersheys brand ice cream. We ordered a small peach ice cream and it was at least three scoops - plenty to share! Also inside are some small trinkets, snacks, and shelves and shelves of canned goods, most made by Lemmons. Pickled everything, butters, chow chows, more jellies and jams, marmalades, it was ridiculous. They also had a limited menu for a few made to order sandwiches and sides. I believe the minimum for credit cards was $10. We left with some peaches, a jug of peach cider, moonshine pickles (haven't tried yet), hot chow chow (not terribly hot, but tasty), and some peach butter. Everyone was very friendly and when I'm passing through again I'm sure I'll stop by.

I entered today and saw a nice variety. This place keeps a five day a week schedule and opens 8:30 am. This store is owned by the Brown family that also operates the slaughterhouse next door. The meat looked fresh and it should be under the circumstances. I did gig them one star because I've been told that the beef here is from cattle with an undocumented diet history. It seems that professional packing houses require a documented feeding history. I'm not sure if this is important; but I'd like to know before I make a purchase.

Amazingly, they have employed some really helpful and courteous people. The hourly paid store associates get five stars from me. I'd be hard pressed to give two stars to their superiors! The one outstanding and redeeming quality about Ingles is their wonderful sub sandwiches. They use Boar's Head meats. They save the day for Ingles! This stuff is far and beyond better than the meats used at nationally recognizable sub restaurants. It's better than good; it's unreal! It's currently full of Halloween candy. After that it will be filled with Thanksgiving things; then Christmas and so on. This Walmart and all of the others I've seen are pressed for floor space.
