I've literally never had a bad experience. They always are so polite and go out of their way to help! They have a wonderful selection of flowers that have only gone empty on Mother's Day weekend. I get flowers from them every 2 weeks, they last pretty long. Unlike the majority of the fruit from regular grocery stores, theirs doesn't go bad fast. Despite all of the viral foods that make all of the random ppl come here to record, it's not bad if you come at the right times. Their selection of products are the absolutely best. I had my favorite items and look forward to the new finds. The store is always clean and there are always good vibes. Corey the manager is pretty awesome & always goes out of his way. Amani is one of my favorite associates that I look forward to seeing And my "wine guy" Phil gives THEE best wine recommendations. He hasn't failed me in the last 3 years. The employees always seem happy. They are always working hard. They work hard stocking the shelves and keeping the store organized and clean. We are fans of the samples. Their bath products are fantastic. I love their shampoo and conditioner. Don't skip the frozen food section as well. They also back up their products if there is an issue. Trader Joes has so many great products! I purchase new flowers every 2-3 weeks. Their flowers last so long. My secret is changing the water every week and I use the "food". Their flowers are very popular. I personally love this location. I have gone to the Williamsburg location and just going I did not enjoy it. I would only go in a pinch.

I really love that they had a section of baked goods that were made in a peanut free facility since I do have a child with an allergy. Our cashier was very friendly and I I really appreciate that. I've had multiple issues with this Food Lion. I grew up in York County, VA for 26 years. I moved…read moreback 10 years later this past January. The first time I utilized this Food Lion's bathroom stall, I noticed that the latch did not slide over properly. The swinging door was too low on the frame, and so it was impossible to lock the stall door. I had reported this issue on 3 separate occasions. Across those 3 separate occasions, which spanned 4 months by the way, I had spoken to 5 different managers, including John, who was/is the front end manager. John was the biggest problem of all 5 managers with whom I had spoken. It took 2 calls to corporate AND a phone call with the district manager to fix it. As it turns out, according to a female staff member to whom I was venting about this whole ordeal, the women's bathroom stall also had the exact same issue. Taking 4 months to fix an ADA violation is nuts, especially after I had explained to all 5 managers that it's not JUST an ADA violation. It's a privacy issue. It's a safety issue. So that was fixed (FINALLY) a few months ago. Flash forward to today. Today is 9/6/26. I had ordered a grocery delivery where I currently live. Over half of the order was missing. I called Food Lion. I spoke to a female (who did not give me her name), and I let her know what happened. First, she told me it was her first day on the job (which is a dumb thing to say to someone whose order was just messed up), and then she told me that she realized it was her fault that the driver did not have my entire order. HER FAULT. SHE ADMITTED IT WAS HER FAULT (an even more stupid thing to say). She then wanted me to drive to the Food Lion to pick up the rest of my order. I told her I did not have a car, which is why I used the delivery method. She then told me to contact DoorDash. I asked for a manager. ONLY THEN did she tell me she was also a manager. So I asked for a different manager. I did let her know that I wasn't trying to be a d!ck but that she's not doing too well for her first day as a MANAGER. No apology. No accountability. Nothing. She then put the phone down (I could hear the background noise), to which I said to PLEASE get me a manager. Next thing I know, I am listening to the hold music. No "can I put you on hold?" Hell, I would have even settled for "I am going to put you on hold." Nothing. So, I hung up. I asked my landlord (who was in her pajamas) if she would drive me to the Food Lion so I could get the rest of my order. My landlord said sure. So we get in the car, she drives me there, and I go in. I grab a cart to be prepared, and I go to the customer service desk. A woman with maroon-colored hair shows up. I have nothing against her hair color, but seeing as I had to ASK for her name at the end of my interaction with her, and seeing as it was not an easy (for me) name to remember, I am providing some detail about her so other shoppers are aware. So back to the initial greeting in-person, which, by the way, I HAD TO INITIATE. I asked if she was a manager. She said yes. I asked if it was her first day on the job. She then realized I was the guy from the phone call 10 minutes ago. She gave me a dirty look. I asked for a different manager. She didn't say anything. She just walked away and muttered something on her radio. Once again, no acknowledgement. Nothing. Eventually, a staff member walks up to me. He is a fantastic associate, and in my not so humble opinion, having had 20 years of retail experience, he should absolutely be the floofin' store's GM. As he was walking up (after he had a brief conversation with the first-day-as-a-manager lady), I told him I didn't know he was a manager. I was about to be stoked as i knew he would do the proper thing. Turns out, he isn't a manager. The lady sent over a staff member after I had asked for a manager other than her. So the guy, as nice as he is, went and got John. The same John as aforementioned way up in the beginning of this massive vent session. I started to let John know about who I am and my phone conversation with first-day-as-a-manager lady, but when I got to the part where she had asked me to contact DoorDash, John interrupted me mid-sentence and said that DoorDash is partially responsible. Keep note that at no point in my ENTIRE conversation with either manager was it acknowledged by either manager that THEY WERE ALSO AT FAULT. So I let John babble, and I eventually cut him off as i was no longer interested in hearing excuses with no apology or acknowledgement or accountability. I simply said "I want my food. Please get it." He then rolled his eyes at me, which I immediately called out. He asked what I was missing, to which I said "figure it out." Which, by the way, is something I would have not said had he not be a giant donkey. I would have absolutely helped him figure out what I was missing had the first thing out of his thin lips been "I am sorry we messed up" or some equivalent of that. But nope. ugh. I ran out of room.
