I am a fan of Aldi's! Its a German discount grocery store. It's known for its low prices and easy shopping experience. There are approximately 13,000 stores worldwide. Aldis was very nice and certain things are definitely cheaper than Walmart or Publix I bought a whole bag of good looking red apples for 1.79$ that's cheap . People working are nice they definitely don't go above and beyond but I mean who does anymore. The people shopping today weren't the nicest crowd but definitely would try canned vegetables and stuff way cheaper than Walmart plenty of parking no paying. You do have to pay 25cents for the shopping cart but as long as you return it you get it back and bring your own bags or pay for some here read more

Rude! Walked up to get a cart, quarter in hand, and after inserting the quarter found that the carts were jammed together and I was unable to dislodge the cart or retrieve the coin to try the other row. After going inside and requesting help; the gentleman who came out, looked at it and said oh well see this is how they were stuck. Someone had already dislodged it and taken my cart so he just walked off. So I took that as as a red flag and knew there was no need to take my business inside. Aldi's is the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. The company split into Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord, which operate thousands of stores in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia. Aldi Süd controls the U.S. chain of Aldi stores while Aldi Nord operates in the U.S. as Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. Fortunately a lot of stores have now added self checkout which makes the process a lot faster. This Aldi's opened in December of 2021 on Oakland Park Blvd in the location formerly occupied by Lucky's, a now defunct organic grocery chain I loved. If it had to go Aldi's is the best replacement. Before that it was a Pearl Artist & Craft Supply. Inside the store the wide aisles are brimming with items to help you save money. I never leave with out the bagged kale, Fit 50 orange juice, citrus green tea, and French roast coffee. My favorite part of shopping Aldi is all of the seasonal items, here today, gone tomorrow. This Aldi's is quite busy and some of the things I was looking for like the fun Valentine's earrings were already gone. Shop on Wednesdays when they put out the new items for best selection. read more

This is the closest Aldi to our condo, so in terms of convenience, this is the most convenient one. But I do like the on on Commercial better. They have self scanning checkout register, which makes the process of paying a much quicker process. I went to get some tofu, which for $1.99 is a great price for 14 oz (I think at one point these used to be 16 oz...but now they are 14oz)........ But I went I went today, they only had 1 on the refrigerated case....I had to walk out with just one instead of the six I was planning to buy. The guy working at the register, like most Aldi employees was very quick scanning and getting customers out. read more

Admittedly, the prices and produce are great, but they rarely have everything I need, which means I have to stop at another store brand after shopping here. And the last time I went to this Aldi location, they only had one check-out line available, which had about 6 people in it, so when the line stopped for a price check, I gave up and just walked out, leaving my basket behind. This is one of the newest Aldi stores in this area. Everything is pretty clean and fresh looking. The parking lot is easy to navigate. Lots of open spaces. Mid day on a Monday, they weren't busy at all. And only one cashier was operating -- and was well able to handle everyone checking out. After being at the produce store across the street, we still needed a few more things, so decided to check it out. As usual, it helps to know your prices. I did not buy Roma tomatoes across the street as they were the same price as Publix. Here in Aldi, they had a package of 5/6 of these Italian tomatoes for only 95 cents for the bag. Now that's a bargain vs. $1.49-2.99 a pound that they can be in a "regular" grocery store. On the other hand, there were a few things I passed on as they were not special nor at a better price. Some things I'm particular about -- requiring a specific brand. And others I don't care. Products here are made to look like the packaging of a National brand purposefully. And sometimes, the only difference is the brand and the price. It can be worth trying. For those in search of regular cream cheese or whipped cream cheese (which has been hard to find recently), they had a ton. I haven't tried it, so I can't tell you how it tastes, though. read more

Good or at least respectable quality and the prices are agreeable. It's a good store I think but the horrific lines to check out are ridiculous. Never less than a dozen people waiting and only one register open. Makes me appreciate Publix for what they do, albeit at a price. I try to avoid this store unless first thing in the am when not many people out. read more

This new location replaces the old Lucky's Market on Oakland Park Blvd, which never got the time it deserved. If you've been to ALDI before then you'll know the drill here, as it's laid out pretty much the same as the one on Commercial not too far away, and undoubtedly many others in the area. They're popping up everywhere it seems! Size wise, at a guess I'd say this is a little bigger and naturally everything is nice and new, but we'll see how long that sheen lasts for. Otherwise, it's all going to be about location as to which one you visit. I do like the dedicated parking lot, which the Commercial one doesn't have - it shares with a bunch of other stores that surround it - but that's really the only glaring difference. And that's perfectly fine, consistency is a good thing after all. Maybe it'll entice some people who've not been to one of their stores to come in, and hopefully they'll find a brand they like. Coming from Europe, I was always a fan of ALDI and LIDL for my shopping and while not exactly the same, it definitely reminds me of home. Learn which items you like are cheaper here than your usual grocery store, and hopefully you'll save some money. read more

Love this place. The staff is always amazing. The produce is always fresh. I have never had a bad experience.

Two problems: 1. See the attached picture? That's where the carts are kept. Disgusting. My wife mentioned this to the manager, and he said that was the Plaza Maintenance responsibility. But Aldi is the ONLY store in that plaza. She asked if he could complain to Plaza Maintenance. He said he would tell the manager tomorrow. 2. One of the employees confided to us that the cashiers are rated on how fast they ring up customers. This ultra-fast checkpoint often causes problems. Such as some items being scanned twice. Recently the receipt was unreadable, so we asked for the receipt to be re-printed so we could check it's accuracy. A manager showed up, but he started ringing up customers said he wanted to go with another employee to show him how to reprint the receipt. We waited, and eventually got our receipt, but I think when customers are waiting, maybe not the right time to train another employee. It just feels like everyone is afraid of not ringing up people in the time corporate wants, that mistakes are being made. read more
